I got one of these Sunday at 2:30 am from phone number 902-460-8055. I did not respond. I have installed no apps on my phone either. It's the first time I've ever gotten a spam text like this.

I just got one, maybe everyone installed an app that caused this?  last apps i installed were mouse lite and draw free on android. the number was 7788728105 and they called me forrest.

This is the content of the text I got:

"Check out the insane hookup website I mentioned to u at work Lewis.  I got so much action last week bro, much easier than POF for getting girls ;)"

(Take note that I removed the website address from the content above so I don't give them free advertsing!)

Well, my name isn't Lewis and I'm a happily married woman.  I don't need to get texts on how to get girls!!!

I find it interesting that I'm getting a spam text as I've been getting repeated spam calls from 1-866-435-7960 for the past several days.

I would like this person to stop texting me ridiculous sex websites...start at like 5am!

I just want to know how you got my phone number to text me and where does someone enter a mobile number to get texts from your site.....I m pretty sure my husbands ex wife is doing this to me thanks

got the same text this morning . kindly replied stating sorry wrong number. 6:15 it came in too.

Got several scam text messages.

called and left message about hook up.... total scam.

I got the exact text from this number this afternoon. I didn't reply it.

I received the exact same message and sent a similar response.  Dangit if more text messages come in. :-(

I got the same text at 1am. Didn't respond either.

You'll get more spam texts from these people and from the people they send their texting list to.  But I think thats your only danger.

I received this same text at 5:45 am.  Unfortunately I kindly responded to let them know hat they sent the txt to the incorrect number.   Is this a security risk for me?

Same as above- spammed text message at 3 am  saying: "Tye here is the hookup site I told you I am getting tons of action on, HookUpGTA.com. Way easier than POF, you will do well on there. Do you still need a ride?"

I avoided a reply of 'f u.' It appears that they want you to respond to their question to confirm your number.

Got some spam SMS for some sex site.

"here's that wild website I was telling u about at work, seductioncanada.com. like I said it's way better than POF or OKcupid, I got tons of action last week ;)"
