This number is well-known to the CRTC.  When I called to file an official complaint about it, the operator was very familiar with this number (647-479-3498).  They said that the majority of the complaints filed are for this particular number.  The company (trying to sell duct-cleaning services) is based outside of Canada and legally, there is nothing that the CRTC can do to stop them.  I was advised to keep registering complaints against this number if the problem persists.  The number to call to register a complaint is 1-866-580-3625.  I am told that the CRTC is working on the problem but as citizens we are defenseless.  So if you've been harrassed, please call to register a complaint.  Maybe if the CRTC knows how many of us are being hassled, they'll pursue them more aggressively.

They called me and had my address, then began a pitch about home security---so obviously a scam...get my information on my home, then knowing whether I am protected or not, then rob me?  Is that it? Others have posted similar complaints about this.

However, as I have my own home security system & told him that, he just hung up.
Try calling them back & no one speaks....this sounds like someone casing the neighbourhood. So beware.

I have received a few calls from this number, nobody leaves a message, so I don't know who it is, they always call in the daytime (I'm at work) ..

When you pick up the call, not one responds and then a bot says "goodbye".. Definitely suspicious.

I got a call from this number yesterday. Asked them not to call me back since I was on the do not call list. However, I would like to add that the person calling was very understanding. He immediately apologized and assured me that I would not receive a call again. I am alright with that as long as I they do not call again.

They cannot be Reliance because I remember getting a call from Reliance about a year ago. I politely asked the rep to put me on their do not call list and since then, I have never heard from them which I think is really good because they respected my wish.

I've gotten numerous calls from this phone #.  It's an agency apparently situated in Lahore Pakistan. They are pretending like they are working for Home Reliance Security..... but it's a scam.  I've called Reliance Security and reported it and they've asked me to call my phone provider and report this as harassment.  I'm going to be reporting this to the authorities in my area tomorrow.  Someone named Ray, Hassan and Ali have called, and when I insist on speaking to their manager they hang up.  It's gotten to the point where they have called my house and my cell and even cussed at me when i told them to stop calling.  Hassan had the audacity to tell me he can call me whenever he likes and my Canadian government can't do anything about it!  They've finally made the mistake of calling me from a 647 number instead of an unknown number.

I just called Reliance to confirm. A supervisor spoke with me and said this was not their number and that they have not hired a third party to make telemarketing calls in any part of Canada. So my advice is to just ignore this call.

I got a call from this number a guy named ray is speaking from it and is selling security from Reliance. It is a scam because Reliance does not make calls like this and do not have this guy under their dealer listings.

Received numerous calls recently and let them go to voicemail with no message being left. I called back and the line is constantly busy. Looks like the telemarketers / scammers have a new number !!
