647-722-5916 is a scam. Ignore it.

These telemarketers have called several times and have repeadetely asked for alice, and about a previous business that belonged to our location, I aksed what they were selling and they asked if we wanted to place ad's in a police magazine, they asked if Alice was available, who obviously isnt. i highly doubt these people are legitimately associated with the police dept. here in toronto and i urge those who recive the calls to report them to thr proper authorities.

Got a call from 647-722-5916, said calling from Toronto Police, looking for the owner. When we say the owner is not available, she just hund on the phone.

The Peel Police in Mississauga were no better when they called for me to buy some sort of tickets for a policeman's ball charity. Some a**hole named Nick phoned me AT HOME,  I said I would think about it and maybe get back to them.

After saying that,Nick the Prick started to get VERY verbally agressive and with a VERY threatning tough cop voice DEMANDED to know why I couldn't buy the tickets now since they were only 20 dollars each

. I then yelled F*** YOU !!! I WILL NEVER BUY FROM YOU AND I WILL TELL EVERYONE HOW RUDE YOU ARE!!!! Then I proceeded to bang the phone down. I can only imagine how terrified a senior living alone, or someone new to this country would be after getting a call like this!!

If everyone refuses buy ANYTHING or support charites the police support, especially for the policeman's ball. Hopefully the loss of donations will give them the message that tough cop voice intimidation tactics will not work in collecting donations or selling tickets.

Please spread the word around about their bad manners and don't feel bad about being rude back THEY are the ones invading YOUR privacy.

P.S. I never heard from Nick the Prick or the Peel Police again.

I have been getting calls from these assclowns on a nightly basis at around 7.30pm.  My vm just picks them up, which is how I get the number-- usually it's just a hangup or confusion at my whimsical outgoing recording (they must not be Corner Gas fans).  But last night was a minute or two of hearing this one guy clown around with a colleague at his call centre before he hung up... the next 2 calls were also telemarketing recordings.  Unbelievable.

I have recive my first call and it was very aggressive. I am thinking to go to the Police Station and ask if this is legal, and if I can take any legal accion  against this people because  they are not only AGGRESIVE they are also SCARY.

They're extremely aggressive, rude and vile people. We get these calls at my place of work once a year around this time EVERY year. But I can't do anything about it because they always change their number.

If they call you, the best thing you can do is tell them calmly never to call again and then to hang up before they can get a word on (and if they do, they're RUDE and AGGRESSIVE and the scum of the earth). My experience is that they don't call back (within the year).

The Toronto Police should be alerted to how BOGUS this is!!!!!!

these call me every year around this time and they are relentless. i tell them EVERY year to stop calling, take me off the list, they still haven't done it.

this is Toronto Police Amateur Athletic Association, asking to sponsors their gaming events... if u tell them that u are not able to sponsors their gaming...

their package are 1000$ $850, $450 $150 etc.... if u tell them big no, they still keep telling u some stories n try to get money back from u....

I told him to call me back after few hours so i can talk to my partner...(to just excuse this person because he was just behind me to get the money ) he kept calling me back for 2 days, 10-15 calls per day, today i end up yelling on them after reading all these comments...  i hope he doesn't call back now !!!

what a person, if u can't sponsors them, you can't, period !!!!!  anyway !!!

These guys from the Toronto Police are pests. They have your number from some list of company's. I got the call on my business line. They have the company name and address. The kicker is that the cops will deliver the goods during their shift... Makes you wonder where David Miller can cut back....

They are not technically the police -they are a charity run by cops called Toronto Police Amateur Athletic Association.  Indeed they are very annoying -have received 15 calls from them but I usually don't pick up.

They have called 9 times in the past 2 weeks. I keep trying to block their number but they just come back with a number that is one digit different. Very aggressive.

they're frauds. toronto police my a**. i actually went and searched up toronto police amateur association. it does exist. but their tel # is completely diff.
omg if they ever call again, i'm gona prank them so bad they will def. hang up and never call again.

have received calls from this number on numerous occasions

I've had several calls from this number recently that were picked up
by my answering machine; no message left.

Today I picked one up.  The caller asked for me, i.e. was using a list with names
attached.  I asked who was calling; he said the Toronto Police Association.  (Which
is, I believe, actually the name of the police union.)  I said we're not interested,
please remove us from your list, he said OK, sir, and we ended the call civilly.

It remains to be seen whether the calls will really stop.

I don't think the Do Not Call List works very well.  I already put my no. on the list yet still receive calls.

Do not give money to this group - they will keep calling you and it is impossible to get them to stop.  Better yet -don't answer the phone. :)

These  scumbags  will  no  longer  be  able  to  call  us    anymore  soon.......A  new  Federal  law   will  stop  them  IF  you  put  your  phone  number  on  their  Do  not  call  list......coming  in  September

today i received  a call from this number 647-722-5916 and male very seriose tone told me that there will be an event by the police Toronto Forces at CNE on OCT 4/2008 and HE WANTED ME TO BY A TICKETS. when i asked him his name and which company he is represents he would not say any specific info just said its a privet organisation. then i new something wrong. went on google to see if there is any events in toronto on that day and of cours did not find it.  
10 min later received call from female 416-360-1083 asking for the donation, when i told her i will call you back letter she sad there is no one will be avail. to answer it .
sounds like partner of the first caller.
i woul be cerfull with this type of calls!!!

get these calls almost every day for past couple of weeks. when i answer there is no response; if i don't answer they never leave a message.

I got a call at 10:20am but of course as usual no one answers when you say hello!

i got a call from this number 647-722-5916 and this lady told me that there will be an event by the police Toronto Forces at Rogers Centre on Sept 22 and there will be k-9 show and swat team and this event is for the orphan. Donation will be going for the orphan and it will be $30.00 for two tickets and i told her i am not interested and she keeps on insisting saying if i am not interested to go at least i can make any donation when i ask her i will check her website she said it is a secure events so they dont have website.
