Ya...same here.  My girlfriend got the same calls as well.  They say you won a prize and have to go to Woodbridge to pick it up.  We both filled out ballots for prizes at the Toronto sportsman.  Thought they had reputable vendors there.  I guess not!!!!

I just got a call 2 days after going to the Canadian Autoshow and I spoke to Kevin Ortiz and the (supposed) manager Jonathan.  

I agreed to go with my wife to the 8:00pm 90 min presentation only after they assured me that there was no financial obligation involved and that immediately after the presentation I would draw for one of the 5 prizes.

I asked if I was going to leave with the gift or would I just get some kind of voucher, and at first the manager told me that of course I would get some kind of certificate and then later changed his story and said I would definitely leave with a prize.  After I agreed to sit in on a presentation, another guy called me back 20 min later from the "award center" but I just asked him to put me on his "do not call list" and I hung up on him.

These guys are without a doubt pure and simple scammers and would say just about anything to get you to their presentation.  There's a lot of background noise where they call you from so if you ask you a question they just pretend as if they didn't hear you.

I've already filed a complaint with the BBB and if these guys contact you too you should do the same.

I just got a phone call last night also February 23, 2012, but they were not using the same phone number that you guys are talking about. Different name also, but the prizes are all the same. What puzzled me though i never got the email that he promise me that he will be sending right after we spoke. I was looking forward to go there but i accidentally lost the address. While i was googling the address, i accidentally read all your comments. Before that I was reading my Horoscope guess what my horoscope said today February 24, 2012  in Metro News * there's a danger you'll end up partying with the wrong sort of crowd...isn't that coincident. Just be careful who you are dealing with don't trust anyone especially on the phone, and please don't give out any email address...

yes  they  called  from this  # and  another    scam  artist --beware

yeah, same, she told me the exact same prizes as you guys had and asked me to attend a presentation for a draw for the winner, in woodbridge too, somewhere on Highway 7.
Here's the twist, I got out of it because I said I'd be coming along, but she said I should come with my common law partner, coz I told her I'm in common-law. She said they will turn me away if I come alone, wtf to that :)
Anywho, glad that I didn't waste much time, except for 10 minutes on the phone with the person. At least she was sincere, nothing to complain about her manner and professionalism. I sympathize with telemarketers. It's a job, not anything glamourous, but a job, just to put food on the table in this harsh day and age :)

I just spoke to these guys 10mins ago (Kevin Ortiz  and Dimir) about this prize I just won, it just same scenario.  Damn scammer....!

Then he asked me to confirm my address and phone number. As he mentioned that was from a Jazz Festival close to the beach here in Toronto I believed him because I went there and I filled a form to win a car.  Well then he asked me if I were married, I 'm not and I didn't mark that option in the form. He started with a weird story saying that I should go with a girlfriend because the promotion was for couples so I would not win the prizes but I could still participate for other prices that would be for singles. I hanged up the call.

As A. Reilly mentioned probably the entries were sold to some other company. It's strange, they want to get contact information. Be careful.

yes i got a similar call from the same number,claiming i won a raffle draw and would have to go to woodbridge. The caller promise to send more info over email and call back, but did not do so. I'm puzzled by this. Any further info on this?

i receive a similar call from this number claiming i have won a raffle from Taste of Lawrence festival. The caller promise to send me an email and would call back to confirm the email sent/receive. I did not receive an email or a call back to confirm the email was receive. Is this a legit call!!!???

I am scared,feel violated and stupid. I pray that these people get caught by the police. They will have God to deal with later even if in this life they dont get punished.What ever the are going with my e-mail adress I hope it's feeding thier children and not taking food away from mine,I have it hard enough as it is. May God help us all!

I am having the same issue from this number, at least twice a day. On my call display is shows as Device. I did pick up once by accident and they told me I had won a prize from a ballot I had filled out at a show I went to. They lied because I didn't fill out a ballot at the show they are talking about.

I keep receiving calls from this number, but since it's unknown to me, I don't pick up my phone.
It calls at almost the same time everyday, and 2 times too.
Right after it stops, I call the number from another phone, and it's always busy.
How to stop this annoying call???
