Like others "a recorded message that said, "Don't Hang Up! Chronic Pain Association and the National Center for Chronic Pain Management has issued the following prescription pain pill alert! In an attempt to stop the use of ... (sales pitch for a 'pain relief cream') ... Press 1 now to arrange delivery. Press 5 to notify your insurance company that you have refused delivery."
Being on DNC lists don't matter to these law breakers so you don't have to guess what they are selling, probably something that will kill you.

ST called here, too. I didn't answer and thye left no message. What I'm trying to figure out is the option to dial 5 if you want to inform your insurance carrier that you don't want this cream of theirs. I hope no one's been so careless as to dial 5, but I do wonder what the scam artists are getting out of it if someone does.

Dear Bobby05,
Glad to read you got a call blocker. However, put the blame where it really lay's, with the criminals and illegal telemarketers.
The DNC works just fine. It is for telemarketers only and honest business does indeed abide by it. It is the criminals (which includes illegal telemarketers), frauds and scammers that do not. The fact remains that the DNC are not automatic call blockers though and can not protect you from the calls that are criminal, illegal or fraudulent.

Another annoying spam call to blacklist......
To fight these scum you have to take action yourself.....the do not call list is a joke (the FCC and congress have proven to be lapdogs for big business telemarketers and is now moving to give them and big media priority fast lane access to the internet.....the FCC chairman is (surprise) a former telecom lobbyist. Get yourself a call blocker, and just plug it in to your phone line.....it will be the best money you ever spent.....lots of them out there, check Google and Fleabay. I got a device called Pro Call Blocker last year and it only costs around $50. It stores up to 1500 or so numbers and uses caller ID. When a spam call comes in, all you have to do is hit the blacklist button and presto, no more calls from this number (you can also manually enter numbers to block, entire area codes or all out of area numbers). It logs all calls in or out. If you get this one, be sure to get the latest version (last I looked it was 2.2). There is also another similar device called T-lock blocker which looks similar and came out late last year.

I just got a call from this number. Caller ID only said ST. Knowing it was some sort of scam, I picked up the phone but siad nothing, not even 'hello'. After about 20 seconds the caller hung up. I plan to do this with every call I get if I do not recognize the number or see something like 'Member Card Services', etc. on Caller ID. They don't know if they got a working number or not. Hehehe.

Seemed like same recorded voice as call from 6502772610 two hours ago. Selling a "new experimental pain relief compound cream." Partial transcript: "This compound cream is directly applied to the pain related areas. It is non-narcotic and extremely effective." "Press 1 now to verify your address and delivery date." "Press 5 now to notify your health care provider that you have refused this shipment."
Obviously a scam.

This number rang in while I was out of the house and left no message. Thanks to other responders, I now have this number blacklisted on my computer. I use CallClerk answering machine software on a laptop computer (it worked fine on my old XP laptop that finally died and is great on my new Win8.1 laptop with an external modem). CallClerk includes a very nice call blocker that can use either blacklist or whitelist. I am thinking of going to the whitelist meaning that only callers you designate can get through. All others will be blocked. No I am not the author, programmer or dealer for CallClerk. Just a satisfied customer of this VERY versatile software. Google it!

Received a call from this number this morning.
Caller ID just said, "ST"
I let it go to my voice-mail, and the caller was a recorded message that said, "Don't Hang Up!
What a crock! - I'd buy a case of it if rubbing it on my phone would make these scam operators stop calling me!
