numerous calls

please stop calling unless you leave a message I will not answer

We just received a call from the 651-256-6181 and the Caller IS said Local News.  I did not answer the phone.

I live in upstate NY. Keep getting this number on my phone. When I call it back, I get nothing. After reading the comments, I have never had a newspaper from Minn. In fact, nothing from Minn. What a scam! If they call back, I will let girlfriend get it, this will be fun!!

I had recently recieved a call from this number, and missed the call so I took it upon myself to call back, and got the answering machine, and got the following message: Thank you for calling AM marketing resource we are a vender for Newspapers, Cable Companies, and Utility Companies if you missed a call from us please leave your name and phone number, and an agent will call you back at a later time... Don't give them anything because your only asking for it in the future when they sell your information to other marketing companies...and dont even answer the phone either..

AR Research nationwide newspaper subscription  called me three times but does not leave a msg  called the phone back left a msg to remove my phone # from their listing

Annoying. Kept calling the whole day when I didnt pick up the unfamiliar number. Asked them to remove me 3 times now.

Numerous calls with no messages.  Upon call back, I'm prompted to leave a name and number for a return call.

I got calls from this number on my cell phone, so I put the phone on the do not call list, and they are still calling. I am thinking of filing a complaint.

This # has called at least once or twice everyday for the past 3 weeks.  Never leaves a voice mail message.  The last couple days I've actually been home & answered the phone just to see who it is & ask to be put on their "do not call list", but every time I answer the phone they hang up.  I called back & got a message to leave my name & number (which I did along with the request to remove my number).  They then called 3 more times last night & hung up every time I answered!!  Very, very annoying!  Who does one call to file a complaint??

This number has called me almost everyday for three months.... i tell them every time i do not want a newspaper and they still keep calling.... next i am reporting them.

called me at around 9 o'clock at night. i picked up and it was the pioneer press
and well i just hung up! urgh..they call everyday..so annoying..

They called me today at 8:07 AM & kept asking for "Joe"
& I said he has the wrong number, but he said: "No, I have
the right number but I just dont know the name" &
he asked for my name, & started asking for our address, & Im
SOOO EFFIN' STUPID because i have it to him.. >:|
- DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT HE/THEM WILL NEED OUR ADDRESS FOR?

Same story, multiple calls daily.  They hang up when we answer.  Called AT&T to see if I can block it and they  say I have to pay them 4.99 a month to do it.  Very annoying.

Just received two calls today from 651-256-6181. "You can get PP on line for $6.95/yr". It's free moron on line plus I subscribe to the daily newspaper. Threatened to turn them in , we are on a DNC list. Sent an e-mail to PP also. Will see.....

They're not breaking any law, why would you call the police? Dont be so hard on them, everyone needs a job. Do you think they enjoy bothering you? They're trying to put food on the table for their families.

I got a call from the 1 651-256-6181 and googled it and i see it's a scam number

Got call from this number at 2:45 P.M. 25 Feb. 2009.  Wanted me to renew a newspaper subscription.  The call came from a "Call Center" in St. Paul, Minnesota, and they wanted to give me an extended subscription deal.  Sain No Thanks.

they have been calling me for months, sometimes they hang up.  i've asked them to take me off their calling list.  today i filed a complaint with the FCC.

The calls are from the Express News.  Customer Service Department at (210) 250-2000, (800) 456-7411.  I called to have my phone number removed from their call list.  Said it would take 24 hours.  Told them I have a pay as you go phone and wanted to bill them for the 18 cents a minute I pay for the call.  They said they have no procedure for that.  Asked for who is in charge.  Told their Marketing Director, Paul Kutzik is responsible and will have him give me a call.  His direct number is 210-250-2144.  If people want to stop these calls they should call Paul.

I live in Santa Barbara, CA and was just called by 651-256-6181.  They've probably called 10 over the past week and this is the first time I took the call (they never leave the message).  It was from the Santa Barbara News-Press, which used to be a fine local newspaper.  Recently, the owner (the billionaire divorcee Wendy McCaw) has absolutely ruined it.

They called and asked for my father. Said he wasn't home and they hung up on me before I could ask who they were.

Received a call from a dude named Sean, identifying me by first name; a negative to me when being first approached by an unknown business entity.  He confirmed my local newspaper subscription... and asked for a donation for "education".  I told him no, and asked to not be called again. My number is unpublished... or so I thought; sheesh!

The dude was polite enough... but was obviously reading from a script.  I called my newspaper to report the incident... and they mentioned that these calls were usually made to first time subscribers.  I take that to mean my local paper sold my data.  Not cool!  It is important that you tell these guys to please loose your number and not call again.  Be sure and document in case they dismiss your request, and file an official complaint with the FCC; you just may get a buck or two (up to $500+ legal costs.)

I've gotten 4 calls from this number, the last one just yesterday.  They didn't leave any message any time.

this company is A Marketing Research (at least thats what their answering service says) and they have called me 4 times since Jan 1st. i don't let them finish after i hear they are calling about a newspaper that i don't care about. i have told them every time to remove my number because its a business line and on the do not call list. they just keep calling back like they don't have to abide by the law.

This number calls at least three times each week.
