Whatever you do, do NOT, subscribe to the Pioneer Press. We subscribed in August through a special offer. After 3 weeks of not receiving a paper, I called customer service. They claimed our papers had been delivered. The next day we got a paper...the first. From then until now we have not ever received another paper despite two more calls to customer service. Today I called again to say that we had not received the service we paid for and to demand a refund. They refused the refund because, as they said: "If we had not been receiving our paper, why did we only contact them three times in recent weeks." ?????? Also, because we paid for the original subscription by debit card, my fear is that they will debit the card again for future papers that I will not receive. I have told them to remove my card from their files. I have NO trust in the Pioneer Press and will never read another copy of their paper.

This number 651-288-2875 calls me once every day but at different times, sometimes morning, sometimes noon and sometimes at night. When I answer I hear nothing and get disconnected. Once somebody with a strange voice asked for someone like "Shari". I explained that he had the wrong number and they hung up. This has been going on for weeks. Only thing I could trace is St. Paul, Minnesota. How do I stop this tragic soul?

these callers are contracted with pioneer press,  they are not scammers,  they are only trying
to make a living,  they are just trying to make a sale.  They have no way of seeing your credit info
the once they submit your order.  if they scam you they lose there job.  i have never been scammed by
any of them, you can also ask them to bill you.  if you want them to stop calling ask the rep to put you on
the do not list and that comp they are calling from won't call.  they have no control over the other
companies that call.  telemarketers are not bad people they are just making a living.  My sister use to
be one and she made good money sometimes and did not scam credit cards

they are not allowed to leave messages,  They can't make a sale on a voice mail.  they are just trying to
make a living.  they it's an automatic dailer.  they may have a good deal for you.  i have ordered from them and they are not scammers,  they are not trying to annoy you they just doing there job and trying to
support there selves

This company has been calling here for the past week, several times a day.  Just found your info and called, hopefully they will not call back again.  Thank you for the info.

I called the 652 222-1111 number and spoke with a man named Michael - he has no idea how they got my number (I'm in New Jersey) and assures me I will be removed from their list - we'll see.

Worked like a charm. I just said that I tried calling that number, somehow got sent to Ed Spagnola's number with AMR, and then ultimately got led to this number (number given above), and I wanted my number off the list immediately. He said okay, took my number, and that was that. I just did this on 5/24/2011.

Thats funny how iam getting the calls but it is real funny that my name is dmv..

Everyone, thanks for the site so we have a chance to talk about all these crazy phone calls. The best solution now I got is to block all of these guys away and have a good night sleep, good dinner, good family time...How ?

1. Buy a new Pansonic Phone DECT 6.0 Plus which has silent mode, call display and call block function mine is KX-TGA652B/C  (the best) and also KX-TGA402C. It costs some money but it gives you peace. Details here in Panasonic official site

2. Go for the IP phone (internet phone) around $ 10 per month and it will have call display and everything. Cheap for long distance too.

I have received many calls from this number as well. I have also called back and asked them to remove my name/number from their list all to no avail.  I am on the national Do Not Call registry and have reported this to them for their investigation.  You may report these nuisance calls on line by just typing in Do Not Call Registry.

My next move is to call my state attorney general on these people. I dont even live in Minnesota why would I possibly want their newspaper.

Average 2-4 calls from 651-288-2875 on a daily basis.
Never have answered.
I have sent them an e-mail under my untraceable Yahoo Account asking to remove my cell number.
No change as of yet.

I too got a phone call from these jerks, I missed it but was curious to know who it was from. The call came at 8:20 AM....I know now not to answer.  I think the best advice was from a previous posting and I will put this number under DO NOT ANSWER.
It is sad that none of us can make these unwanted phone calls stop.

I get calls sometimes several times a day from this number (651-288-2875). My caller ID says: LOCAL NEWS. I never answer outside area codes most of the time anyway, and this one is especially annoying! I let my answering machine pick up, but no one ever leaves a message. I've never tried calling the number back for fear of 'encouraging' the caller! I understand from others that sometimes you get a message saying the number is out of service (and as I write this, they are trying to call me AGAIN within about 2 minutes!) Some say this number is attached to newspaper subscriptions. I don't need that either! It is getting really annoying, whoever it is!

Excellent Advice!  The fella who answered seemed clueless how I'd get this number to remove me, but after referenceing Ed Spagnola, I gave him my number: problem solved.

Leave a message, to cease and desist, then file a complaint with both the Federal Trade Commission and the Federal Communications Commission.  You can take this person to small claims court for each infraction.  You have to be on the National do-not-call registry.  Enjoy raking in some money from these jerks !!

they have been calling me several times a day for days now. now i see the post that theyre a newspaper in mn and i live inn fl so why are they calling me. now im reporting them to the do not call registry and the fl state atty genl

I also receive calls from this number...I actually get calls from several numbers from Minnesota. I don't usually answer them, but this last time I did. No one was on the other end but I could tell we were connected, so if they weren't going to speak I was....I told them if they don't stop harassing me I was going to report them to the government "do not call" list, the Attorney General, the Better Business Bureau and whoever else I could think of. What a surprise I received another call the very next day. Now tell me why do I need the Pioneer Press from Minnesota when I don't live anywhere near Minnesota?

I got a call from them for the 1st time today. I called back based on the compaints here. I got to the Voicemail and it says that if you missed their call, a rep will get back to you at a later time. Gives me something to look forward to huh?

Anyways, it says it's a marketing resource, a vendor for news papers, cable and utilities throughout the country.  I did not renew my newspaper subscription and I just cancelled comcast and got Verizon Fios. So I don't know if they are calling for the paper or cable but I do know that I don't like it when people call and call and call.
