Same th ing just happened to me.  Asked for John and when my son gave me the phone I said hello and they hung up.

THEY CALLED ME LAST NIGHT JUST AS I WAS ABOUT TO JUMP IN THE TUB.  BY THE TIME I GOT TO THE PHONE THE ANSWERING MACHINE HAD COME ON AND THEY HAD HUNG UP. I KNEW IT COULD NOT HAVE BEEN TOO IMPORTANT IF THEY COULD NOT LEAVE A MESSAGE. I CHECKED CALLER ID AND IT SAID 651-379-4013/ACCOUNTING.  I THOUGHT I WOULD CHECK IT OUT ONLINE TONIGHT.  I CANNOT GET A DIRECT RESULT WITH REVERSE NUMBER SEARCH AND FINALLY FOUND THIS SITE.  SEEING THAT IT IS THE FEDERATION OF OFFICERS LOOKING FOR DONATIONS, I AM GLAD I DID NOT ANSWER!  I HEARD FROM ANOTHER GAL WHOSE HUSBAND IS AN OFFICER THAT THE MONEY THESE PLACES COLLECT DO NOT GO TO THE OFFICERS AND YOU SHOULD NEVER DONATE TO THEM.

Holy crap. Several calls a day. I didn't know the number so I let the machine get it - always a hangup. After reading all of these I will answer next time and say ungodly things. Ha.

they called me at 8:15 p.m. but when I answered they hung up. Tried calling the number back and it rang and rang no answer.

This phone number has called my house 5 times in the past two days. When I say my husband is not here they act like they personally know him, and they do not. I told them to stop calling my house and told them they have called 5 times in the past two days they say, "Oh, then it wasn't us" and clearly it is. VERY ANNOYED!!! It will be interesting to see if they call tomorrow.

They called me at 8:18 p.m.  They have called several times.  They always hang-up.

651-379-4013  is a phone number from Prior Lake. They called my home and when answered the phone there was no one there. ried calling back but no answer. Will enter the phone number on the donotcall.gov site.

Received numerous hangups from this number over the past week. *69 gave me the number that was calling. Very, very annoying  Never an answer when I say Hello, just hangs up.

This number has called numerous times a day for about a week now and the name reads: PRIVATE. However, there is a number on the caller ID 651-379-4013.  When I answer, there is a long pause, then a click.

I have received several calls from this outfit as well. I played the fellow along and he said he was seeking donations for the Fraternal Order of Police to help local police deal with meth labs.

I didn't tell him this but I am a FOP member and am also the local chief of police. Because of changes in legislation we have only dealt with a few meth labs in the last couple of years and we certainly do not need help in dealing with them from the FOP or from some telemarketer.

I played along and they are sending me a bill (which I do not intend to pay) that I am going to have investigated further.

I also contacted the FOP to get their input.

Remember these are telemarketers and often get 80% of what you donate. As a rule I tell people not to make these donations as I have never seen a dime of donations from outfits that use these services.

Did not answer phone.  2nd time this company has called.

Call on a daily basis as well. Claim to collect money for the local Police. Even after asking them 50 times and more to take the number off their list they keep on calling and harrassing. Tried to find anything about them on the internet but couldn't. Now I will start yelling at them.

Rec'd a call from this outfit on Sunday Jan.6th, 2008 - my daughter answered the phone they asked for me specifically and when she told them I was not available they said ok and hung up.  Tried calling the number back and let it ring like 30 times - no message and they did not pick up - but if I am home I will not be very nice if they call back.

Seen this number off and on...Asking for money for mutiple organization....Beaware...

Got a call from this phone # yesterday afternoon.  Left a very short unintelligible message.  Thought it was a prank.  After reading these comments and listening to it again, maybe it's some guy speaking to his buddy in a foreign language as he was hanging up.  Number comes up as private.

I have had several hang up calls, an now extremey pissed that this # keeps calling me, I have paid fees to look up any info on this # and there is no information available!  Is there a phone company that can be called to have there phone privledges taken away?

Same thing.  I think it is a computer that calls you several times throughout the day to see if you answer the phone.  Once you pick it up, the computer registers the number and time.  Then, you will start recieving phone calls around that time. Hence, why sometimes you answer and no one is there.

I just got one with a hangup, did a search and found this incredibly useful website.  Thanks for the info.
These people are evil beyond imagination.  What can we do to get back at them?  Can we find out where their physical office is?  I  wouldn't want to do anything illegal, but having some fun with them would be very rewarding.

I received a telephone call from this number on Sunday evening 5:55 pm...asked for me directly, when my wife asked who was on the line...he, said, "Dave". Then hung up! I called the 651 379 4013 number back...there was no answer. My wife and I were concerned until I read your emails. Thanks, ron

This number has called numerous times. I picked up today and someone shout "Get a job" and then promptly hung-up.

Also the same happens to us! They call (several times a day) it reads 'private', i answer, long Pause,click, done! I call back... nobody answers! And we are on the "Do-not-call-List"... I wait for the day, they try asking me for something!!!

I have been receiving calls from 651-379-4013 at least 3x's per day. When I answer I can hear people in the back talking then they hang up without saying anything.

Just received a call from this number 651-379-4013 marked PRIVATE at 844pm. I heard background conversation and then they just hung up on me.

We keep getting these calls from Safety Services.  This has been going on multiple times a day, 7 days a week, any hour of the day.  We have asked them not to call.  They claim they don't have a Do Not Call List.  Today I hope I broke their ear drum when I blew the whistle in his ear.  I told them I had asked them not to call.  I would think they would focus on calling new people that would be ignorant enough to donate and not continue to call people who will never donate.  But, the keep calling back and wasting my and their own time.  Maybe they get paid for the number of call they make.  Regardless, I suppose ignorance is bliss.

This has been happening at our house for over a year now.  My husband has taken to calling him my boyfriend because he asks for me by name.  I have asked them to remove my name from their list because only 12 cents of every dollar you dontate is given to the charity, and the rest is profit for their overhead costs...yeah right!  They just keep calling.  My favorite thing to do is whenever I see 651 "Private" (it is always them) is to answer the phone, sit it on the kitchen counter and leave the room for 10 minutes, or answer and immediately hang up.  I worry about not answering, as perhaps this is a theft-ring trying to learn the times when I am not at home.  There has got to me someone that this can be reported to for help!

I too have been receiving calls from this number, they asked for me by name, and additionally knew that I had recently donated to the MN State Patrol essay contest.  Having read through these comments, I am not rather concerned that they knew my donation record.  If they are not a legitimate police organization, how do they get this information?  I also agree with past posting here, that it’s probably a machine the auto-calls, as I’ve gotten hang-up calls repeatedly.  

Is there a way to report this number and have them fined?  There are stiff penalties for call people who are on the Do Not Call list.

I answered a call from this number once and they made me feel so guilty that I gave them a donation. Now they won't leave me alone. They call all the time so I just don't answer the phone anymore. Now after reading what everyone else has to say about them, I wish I had never donated in the first place. Now I just wish they would quit calling and leave me alone.
