I finally got fed up too after 2-3 calls for a few days in a row and googled the DAV...They called back with this number. 877-426-2838 then press 0 and they will direct you to someone who will put you on the do not call list.  Hopefully this will solve our problems.

I located this PHONE NUMBER for American Veterans 651-487-2002.
Call them, Press "0" to get a person and they will take you off the list if you request.
The person I spoke with was really quick and helpful.

I am super happy that I have found this bored because these people are driving me NUTS.  I am super ready to just call a lawyer because this is uncalled for.  I got a call at 6am this morning.  I have called both numbers today and I have not talked to a live person.

This is no longer solicitation, it's harrasement.  I haven't answered the calls the first 784 times, what makes them think I'm going to answer the next one?

this person calls alot day and night, i just got out of the army and i am geting and tired of it, it this keeps going i will pay to look this person up and take action, my uncle is a lawer and this is clearly herasment! if anyone gets a name or voice start recordeing them and i will take them to court,

I got a call from this number too and it showed up as a private name.  You would think that if this is a place of business, they would have the common sense to post number as a listed number.

I just got a call from this number, and of course no one on the line, just dead air then a click.

I received calls from this number many times last week . They evn call late in the evening, however I didn't answer any of their call. They also did not leave any message.
I am annoyed!

If this is the Disabled Vets organization then it is truly unprofessional.
I answered the call, there was silence then the disconnect.

If you call 651-487-2002 you can leave a message with them directly.  Their website is davmn.org, but contains no contact information or email.

This is a skip/trace group, they validate your phone number and then pass the information onto collection agencies.  If they call you, do not answer if at all possible.

I received this call and never pick up because I'm wary that it's most likely a scam.  There is currently an expose going on about a fraudulent charity scam, targeting different areas of the country.  The latest area is in the Twin Cities.  A group calling itself Minnesota Disabled Veterans calls for donations but they are a complete scam and none of the money helps any veterans out.  It was discovered when they called an actual employee of the Minnesota Disabled American Veterans (DAV), a subgroup of the Disabled Veterans of America.

I receive multiple calls every month, sometimes multiple calls in a single day.  Twice yesterday -- left a recorded message at 10:24 AM and called back at 10 PM.  In order to get Verizon to block, it will cost me 4.00 a month for the "usage control" feature.  Like the idea from previous poster to set up "no ring" - I'm on it!

I am on the Do Not Call Registry.  Remove my number from your call list.

Frequent robo calls from this phone number.  I think there is a state requirement that the caller ID number be answered live or with VRU with the option to stop calls.  All I get is a busy signal.

Note, the National Do Not Call list will NOT prevent organizations like this from calling you.  The three exceptions are political organizations, charities, and businesses you already have a relationship with (such as your bank, your car dealer, etc.).

I get four to five calls the same day from DVA telling me their truck will be in my area. I would like these calls to stop.

got a call from 651-789-2293/ They left a msg that they were from the Disabled American Veterans looking for a donation. I didn't pick up.
On the level? Who knows?

You know, I have seen this same thing over and over from this same group with the same number.  I do not think they are a traditional "Disabled Vets" group, I think they are a skip/trace organization.  They are extremely covert, you almost can't find a dang thing about them which seems very strange for a group that survives on donations.  Skip/trace groups just verify information, like phone numbers, and pass the information along to people like collection agencies.  Anyway, here is what I have for this number:

This phone # is from the MN D.A.V - a worthy organization (as I am a disabled veteran) which provides many great services to America's Veterans. HOWEVER...I am annoyed that an apparent "auto-dialer" from (651)789-2293 KEEPS calling my house, when I answer - NOTHING, dead air. Now, I would think that a non-profit organization, such as the D.A.V, would be as concerned with customer service as much as for-profit companies are.
After doing a bit of research, I located this PHONE NUMBER 651-487-2002 where an actual person works. I explained my concern to her and she was very helpful. I suppose, without customer feedback, companies cannot improve customer service. So I asked that they fix the auto-dialer to include a message.

I agree, this borders on harassment. I was once told the Do Not Call List does not apply to non profits, and Disabled Vets appears to be fully aware of that loophole.  This has been going on for years and I never answer when I see their Caller ID. Shame on them. How about a class action suit against them?

This number has been calling me for YEARS.... and I mean years..... almost 8.  When you call it back, it doesn't go through but, if you answer when they call it says that they are calling to notify of pickup for unwanted items in your area for the Disabled Vets..etc, etc.....I've told them numerous times to cease calling as I am on the do not call list.  They continue to call even after I threatend to contact the attorney general for the state of Minnesota and to report them to the U.S. Government's Do Not Call "violators" list.... no use.  I have never donated to these people. They should be stopped!
