I have tried several times to connect with this Active Periodicals to tell them to quit taking money out of my account every month, this has been going on for at least 6 months, 19.95 every wack. I ask my bank if they could put a block on it, they say the only way to take care of it is to closed the account and open a new one. Think of the people that I would have to contact that are actual accounts that I pay every month. These people are real jerks and deserve to have action taken against them.

I'd be interested in filing after calling me for weeks on end i ended up signing up with them, they told me i could cancel anytime yet when i call to cancel they tell me it will be a $500 fee to cancel, i told them i wasn't paying for something they coaxed me into and i sure as hell wasn't paying $500 for something i didn't want and wouldnt get, they should pay me for the $122 they took out of my account and for the harassment and the embarrassment of telling my bank that i got scammed so they had to switch all of my accounts, now i screen their calls and am sick of them calling my fiancee looking for me.

I just got called today from Active Periodicals. I dont know how they got my number, claimed i ordered mags from them. I dont get their mags, said they were gonna bill me, i asked to what card on file? When they told me the first 4 numbers i told them that wasnt my card number, they must have the wrong person, even tho they had my address, i told them to cancel me and the guy said, "ill cancel you! ill cancel you right now!!" and then slammed the phone down and hung up on me. What is this company and how can  i make sure im not on their billing list somehow?! i dont get mags from them at all. i dont know what he was talking about?!

I am interested in filing a class action lawsuit against active periodicals.  I need others to sign up with me.  We need to put this business out of commission.  They are ripping people off.

These guys are associated with Identity Theft, do not call them back.  file a fraud alert with the three credit reporting agancies.  They are mining data on you because they already have some of the pieces of your information.  They tried to charge my credit card, after I cancelled it.

I dont know who this is but I have a sudden rash of calls and this one is one of many but they called me 7 times today. I did not answer it but tried to call it back and got a busy signal......They started at 7:30 this morning. =(

They called my cell phone Saturday morning with an automated message that said
the call was for "Telemarketing purposes only"  What does that mean?
I am on the Do Not Call list.  I'm going to call their Customer Service every chance I get.

These a**holes call at least once a day.  How can they do this with my phone on do not call list?
I called this number and told them to take my number off their call list and in 24 hours (supposedly) it will be removed.

You keep calling and do not have the mind to answer when I answer your call.  
If your call is legit, why don't you say something.  This is very annoying and sick.  I pray that God will stop you since no one else can.  There is enough evil in this world.  Now your company has to get in on it.  What a shame for business people to act like this.

I've never answered the call, but they've called my cell phone everyday (12/22/08-12/27/08) at least once a pay, sometimes starting at 8:00am. (954-671-6946). Since I've never answered it, I don't know who it is, but I found this webpage. Now how do I get them to stop without wasting time and energy?

Active Periodicals calls my cellphone several times a week. Once,they called me,saying that I had won a shopping spree. I said I wasn't interested. Since I was at work,I hung up. They called back,and some creepy middle-aged guy said "B**H."

Now they call,but don't leave messages,or hang up as soon as I answer.

I am already on the DO NOT CALL list,but they still call.

They say that if you leave your name and number,they'll stop. Guess what? They don't.

So,I've left voice messages that are performance art pieces consisting of random screaming and cussing. Saying the F word several times in a high-pitched shriek would put anyone off. Think of Wolfman Jack and Yoko Ono's love child. Maybe they'll quit when they notice they notice they don't hear so well as they used to.

I am on Alltel and I got a call that hung up befor eI could even answer it. I called it back and got elevator music.

I just called Patec and they were very polite and told me that they would call Active Periodicals and have me placed on the do-not-call list. The representative told me that it would take three to four days. We'll see if it works. However, I would advocate being polite and friendly to the rep (the initial rep seemed surprised I was pleasant) because the representatives will be more inclined to help someone who is nice to them.

However, should this not work, I will be calling the FTC's complaint line at 1-877-382-4357 (http://www.ftc.gov/ftc/contact.shtm).
