had a missed call from this number tried to call it back and it said it was disconnected.

Caller stated they needed to speak to the owner of this (my) number. I asked who it was. No response to my inquiry, just another question: How many computers do I own. Everytime I spoke, all I could hear was myself (like an echo) indicating that the call was being recorded. At this point I informed the caller that it is unlawful to record a telephone conversation without informing the other party of such recording. He hung up.

got a call this morning and when i picked it up it weas some one askng to talk to a family member i didnt recognize the number and when asked to leave a message they wouldnt and when i tried to call the number back it says is a disconnected number and no longer in service beware of the number and call your state fraud department

It's a phantom cover number for CTI Collections. They can use a special dialing program that makes it appear they are calling from that number. Often will come up with "Unknown" or "601-429-9003". Don't bite.

Keep getting calls from this number- always a fax machine tone. When I call the number back it says it is no longer in service or has been disconnected.
