Can anyone tell me what companies use Gatestone for their collections?

I kept receiving recorded phone calls from a company identifying themselves as Gatestone Company: http://Gatestoneco.com Tel: 1-760-979?4432. I called back and spoke to a Wesley Woods. He "claims" to be at 1000 Northwest St. Ste. 1200 Wilmington, DE 19801. He claims to have "personal information" and is asking for me to identify myself via my address? Their other phone number is 855?834?6018. I have no outstanding debt, never have and they call two to three times per week. My legal rep says this is a scam or an attempt to steal identity. DO NOT Give them any information, without verifying or validating who they say they are. If it were me, this is what I would do. WITHOUT giving them any personal information, tell them to send you a certified return receipt letter (to the address they claim they have on file) stating exactly what they want. Otherwise DO NOT RESPOND and report them IMMEDIATELY to your local identity theft dept. When enough people get together to do what is right, theses thieves will give up and get a REAL job.

Maybe because they are extremely sketchy when they call.  With the number of scams people get sucked into by phone every day, how can we not feel uncomfortable with a company that starts a conversation by demanding personal information before they have even said who they are?  That pretty much sets the tone for the whole relationship.  And then essentially calling us liars for claiming we have not received anything from them in the mail (which, I STILL haven't, by the way).  

Add all this to the numerous complaints and minimal verifiable information about them online, and you've got yourself a very good reason for people to not want to speak to them.  I would wager that most of the time, they are being mentally dismissed as a scam due to the rather unprofessional way some of the agents have of speaking with people over the phone.  Perhaps they should work on that.

They say I owe TD Visa 4000.00 I have never even had a visa with TD they call me 2-3 times a day and when you do hold for them they hang up

gatestone keeps calling here, will not tell us why they are calling.  finlly asked why , they said it was a debt fo american express card which i never had.  they asked for personal i.d.

Received a call from Gatestone leaving a message requesting I contact them immediately that day in connection with an issue that had came across the caller's desk (John). Very vague but very insistent and sinister suggesting I call to resolve the issue voluntarily. I had never heard of Gatestone so I was curious so called the number that he left. I was unable to connect with John but spoke with a woman who stated that I owed Bell Canada over $300.00 for internet services. When I denied owing Bell anything she insisted that I did then confirmed my phone number and address. When I told her I hadn't used Bell Internet for over 5 years, she asked if I was born on a certain date. The person they were looking for was obviously twenty years younger than I am so she said she would remove my phone number from the list. Very upseting and also makes me upset with Bell although I realize they have no control over how the collection agency operates on their behalf.

They kept calling my brother for the last week, sometimes two or three times a day. Have no idea how they got his number, as he's only had the number for maybe three months and I dropped Bell almost a year ago. Just talked to a guy yesterday at a different number, having called since my brother was fed up with the constant calling and I had no idea who/what it was. The weird thing is, when they called my cell today (which I didn't answer), the number was listed as from the States...

They called and left a message which was incomplete. I called back and they were looking for someone who had used me as a reference.  They would not tell me what the call was about but just asked me to pass on the message.

Don't answer. Nothing but scammers looking for your cash. Come meet me in person and ill give you something!!!

I recently changed my phone number and two numbers have been calling me at least 4 times a day one is 1 866 470-2739 and the other is 1 866 648 6165. They ve been calling all week long. The first one just says to call them back. The agents never answer. They just say videotron. I left a message and i ll see if they do anything. The other one I actually got a hold of someone they were looking for a different name and then he said they would take me off the list....

These people are Debt collectors...they have called me 5 times looking for people that I don't know but have the same last name,a common one..Talk about 'fishing'!!! I called them & complained..they apologized,said they'd make sure my number would not be calling again.
They lied...they started calling looking for a neighbour in my building twice now.I never give out info on anyone that just calls out of the blue.They called again today & I let it rip! So mad...the woman calling just kept saying.."Have a good day mam" while I kept saying "STOP CALLING ME!"
I would love to have these folks charged w/ harassment...not sure if I can but if it keeps up I will be doing something.

There alleged Ontario Collections License Number is 4664824. Calling my home for a commercial debt?? AQ Jason calling. Harassment is when you receive more than 1 call in a 24 hour period? Never heard of Gate Stone and remember, you never have to deal with a collection agency. Ask them to validate the debt!!!!

These guys keep calling and never answer the right questions I ask.  Very annoying.

twice a day they call me threatening my credit!! claiming i owe bell an ever increasing amount of money for services i never got over 2 years ago!! 1 i hav no credit to tarnish with teir claim of a measley 200 bucks!!
and 2 i wanna set these a**les up to receive payment and BUST EM FOR EXSTORTION AND LYING TO RECEIVE FUNDS FROM THE PUBLIC!!

We get calls from this number at least 4 or 5 times a week, claiming my husband owes Bell Canada $900 on an "outstanding" satellite bill!! HELLO! We had our dish de-activated in 2007 because Bell wanted us to pay $75 to have a wire fixed and my husband paid off the bill before we went back to cable-tv with another company. A guy from "Gatestone" just called my house a few minutes ago, wanting my husband to "get in touch with him asap." He owes Bell Canada NOTHING and we know it and I have no intention of having him call the guy back!

I DO pay my bills, and they are calling me , so dont assume everyone who is getting called are not paying bills....talk about "DUMB A**"

they keep calling me everyday leaving me a message and referance number but i just delete them cause i haven t got a clue who they are and who they are looking for,

Best thing to do is Don't answer the phone!!.....

You can actually block the number, depends on the cell
Phone you have.

They have called me severall times, leaving messages for "Zaff...." and I have called back to let them know they have the wrong number, but keep calling!!!

I've gotten 2 messages from a Jennifer asking for Sean. She says this is very important and to call her back at 1-866-648-6165  ext: 3854. I have a nephew with the name Sean. I have no other info on him. I do know he is on Face Book

They are Gatestone Co formerly CollectCorp. I have deal with many collection agencies. They are the ones that have the rudest people working for them. If they want people to pay their debts then they need to hire and train better people. They are all very arrogant and lack compassion.

Collection Agent, I've never not paid a valid bill but have gotten called by bill collectors many times. Maybe you don't notice how many times you firms call the wrong people or try to collect stuff that's already been paid?  And a lot of you guys are jerks, even when not French (for whom, obviously, it's natural to be a jerk).

Had a call from them 3 times today....the second call I received, I explained to the woman that this is my cell and not to contact me on it....she asked for another number I said I don't have one, which is the truth....I told her I know the law and that collection agencies must send a letter first, she said a letter was sent out on Wednesday. She hung up on me when I asked again for her not to call my cell and I will contact them when I receive the letter, she told me that the debt will not go away....I then received another call within 2 minutes from the last...I told that woman the same thing, she told me that she would just continue to call everyday and hung up....this just shows what great work these collection agencies do....don't even know the law and then when you tell them that you know the law they hang up on you.....I called back after being very hung up on twice which on their part is just fantastic customer service, but gosh forbid if you hang up on them....a wonderful gentleman answered the phone and I explained the whole situation and he said I was absolutely right...I told him if I receive another call from them before I contact them, then I would call my lawyer...he assured me that my number was being removed from the list

call on answering machine for a person who does not live here, totally different name , nothing to do with me. Why are they calling me , get your names straight. Total harassment.

These people called gatestone are the rudest peple they dont beleave u  i told i call tge police if they call.me agin all they care about is getting tge commision from rogers i gave them a police files so far so good i made complaint to the police about ther tactics f*** gatestone they can burn in hell
