my mother would have fell for this in a second without her credit card and paid without hesitation and I'm sure they have gotten a lot of people to pay up

Got a call from this number 678-394-3315

I got a call and did a reverse number lookup and it came back from a company called Bitguard, Inc. in Cleveland Oh. I did not call them back. I was told that I had two fraudulent cases against me and I needed to call back right away or they would have me served with court papers and there would be nothing I could do. They also called my sister leaving a message for me saying the same thing. I am glad I looked this up.

Got a call this afternoon from a guy- same story. Wanted my SSN; said he was calling about a fraud case against me; and that he was trying trying to help me resolve the case before I was prosecuted. I told him that I would give no information without seeing papers about this "fraud case". He advised me that if I gave him my email address that he could send me a "Conditional Release Letter"; but not mail anything to me. I hung up on him. Got another call from the same guy within minutes; from a (216) number...

I have had these same messages as well and I've asked several times for validation of debt.  I have not had this sent to me.

Debra - tell them that you cannot receive these kinds of calls at work.  If they threaten to go up the "chain of command" have a frank talk with your supervisor to let him/her know what's going on.
If you tell them you cannot take these kinds of calls at work, they are not allowed to call you at work.

They stated calling me last year and trick me up by calling one day when I was really busy and didnt look at the number. Well they started talking about sending the cops to come and get me if I didnt pay. Crazy me at the time didnt even ask what it was in regards to. So I set up payment arragements with them. Well I closed the account that was set up, so now they are calling and calling like 4 times aday from different numbers and I want answer so then they started calling my parents house, but would not tell them what they were calling for. Now that I have read these post they will not get another dime out of me. They can not send you to jail for a bill, and they try to scare people with that. Well I'm done at this point. I hope they can use the funds that I did pay them for the four months tha I paid.

Received a call at my place of employment on February 1, 2012 from G&A Services in Douglasville, GA stating that a lawsuit was pending for an online cash loan that I had obtained and failed to pay back in 2007.  The caller Charlene Dowdell stated that I could avoid the lawsuit if I just settled with them.  The woman said that the original loan amount was for $600, but since I ignored and refused to pay them, the fee went up to $2,044.18, but they would settle for $871.00.  I told her to send me the original documentation proving that I took this loan out.  What was emailed to me was a "Conditional Release" letter, with no proof of the actual loan.  Today (February 2nd), I have received a total of 3 phone calls between 12:02 p.m. with the last call at 1:52 p.m. from two different phone numbers, which are: the first comes up on caller ID as Los Angeles CA (213) 995-6213 and the second number comes up as Bitguard, Inc. (678) 394-4286.  I was only left one message from Ms. Dowdell, which was the first call of the day.  I know this is a scam and after reading all these posts, I am absolutely certain that they are trying to scam me.  I have done my research on this and they will never get one dime off of me.  These scam artists need to be caught and punished for harassing hard working people.

Same thing here.  Ive had the same phone number for several years and suddenly i'm getting all of these phone calls about a debt ive supposedly had for four years.  Hmmm.

CALLED MY HUSBAND CELL TELL THEM I WROTE A BAD CK IN 2007 FOR 500.00 .  MY HUSBAND WENT OFF ONTHEM THEN THEY CALLED ME SAYING IM IN  FRAUD STATE.  AND I HAVE  A CASE AGAINST ME FOR I LOVE JEANS. DIDNT MAKE ANY SENSE.. THEY LEFT A CASE NUMBER AND THIS IS MS FERMIN. OH WELL Y DID IT TAKE THEM 5 YRS TO FIND ME. IM LISTED AND HAVENT MOVED OUT OF THE COUNTRY.. WHATEVER CANT GO TO JAIL FOR IT.. PROVIDE ME WITH SOME TRUE FACTS AND MAYBE WE CAN TALK.. WHO KNOWS MAYBE I DID HAVE AN ISSUE BUT WOW FIVE YRS LATER..UMMMM DOESNT SOUND RIGHT....

Called asking for my son who is an adult that does not live with me. said he could be arrested etc. told them to stop calling. they don't now other numbers calling saying Fraud Department. Said I would be in trouble also.

This is a version of the you-have-commited-a-crime extortion scam and you are being...
1. charged with fraud or passing bad checks or embezzlement or
2. served with a court summons or arrest warrant or bench warrant or whatever or
3. located in preparation to being served or for a lawsuit or to be arrested or
4. whatever stupid crap reasons they will think up next.

And you have to...
1. call back with your case number or
2. confirm your address or SSN or whatever so you can be served or your papers can be processed or
3. pay $895 now to avoid paying $5,000 in court or
4. whatever stupid crap reasons they will think up next.

Never do what they tell you to do but report them to the Internet Crime Complaint Center http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/default.aspx , the Federal Communications Commission http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm , the Federal Trade Commission https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ and your state AG, as appropriate.

I don't know this company is but a Mr. Price is the one leaving  the message.  He is calling me at work.
