They are now calling from 678-392-3899. They switch phone numbers and addresses frequently.

It seems they call on fraudulent debts, bogus debts, debts outside the statute of limitations etc but they just never quit. If you are worried that they have something, insist on a written claim but DO NOT give your address! If their claim is valid, they have it! Also insist on a physical street address for them, they won't give it.

Don't screw around with these people and DO NOT give them any information. With what they're willing to do, I wouldn't assume that they'd be above identity theft as well!

The disturbing thing is that they call friends and relatives and tell their lies.

Can't believe they're still operating

My wife is still getting calls from Wallace & Associates for an account that was resolved 11 years ago. They call relatives, make threats etc etc but they are nothing but a scam organization. We attempted to do the proper thing and send a written dispute.... guess what? The certified mail came back undeliverable!

SCAM!!! SCAM!!!! SCAM!!!!!

PS. Pursued it further and have a letter in hand from the Attorney General also declaring them a scam.

I have been receiving calls from these people saying that it is urgent that I contact them.  They have contacted my family members and told them that they were going to contact the state police where I live.  I am so glad I read this.  I am working for an attorney now and will have him handle this situation.  I am also going to contact the Attorney General's office regarding these people.  When they contact friends, family, etc... they are NOT to mention that they are collecting a debt.  They gave my family some case number and told them that I was going to be taken to court for fraud!  These people need to be dealt with.  The guy who called me sounded like he was reading from a script.

The first call I received from Wallace & Assoc. was around the 1st of August 2012 and it was at my place of employment.  I asked the gentleman that called as to what the call was regarding and he was very evasive.  I then requested something to be mailed to my home address proving the legitimacy of the matter and further stated do NOT call my place of employment again.  Today I received another call at work - a William Johnson called this time.  I did not have time to take the call so a co-worker gave me the message.  The ph. number given is 877-376-2426 ext. 1005.

As a result of the phone call this morning, I have filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission.

Call from Wallace and Associates...left a message asking for someone I've never heard of and gave me a name and case number of which I recorded. I seems as though the information age is the age of information fraud. Wallace and Associates may be a respectable business for all I know, but I think it would be fair to say that they should be investigated thouroughly. I am going to see what I can do to make this happen. If they are legit...they will have nothing to worry about.

Wallace and Associates has a number not listed on this forum 678-608-3229. I have read the posts on this forum and thanks to everyone for equipping me with the necessary information to take them on.  I have the necessary information to use on them legally even though they fraudently represent themselves as "attorneys" I believe the $1 plan will work just fine.

That scam company contact a friend of a friend and as a federal debt collector I skip trace this company info,, they r breaking all types of laws this company buys ghost debts and try to collect for there personal gain . I'm glad that they have messed with the right person I will meet with  my states attorney general and will explain to him what us going on . If you do receive calls from them informed that you are recording there call, in the call ask for the letter that says you are responsible for the debt that they claim you owe, also ask for there license number in which they had to file one in the state that they do business in , write down all the names first and last of the people that get on the phone with you, in writing request that they stop calling, get the letter notarized and  send a copy to their company. The only loans that can be collected on after the 7 year period are federal loans .

Same experience as everyone else.  Scavenger collection agency with illegal practices.  Put me on hold and gave me to one of their "Sr Partners" when I asked the "paralegal" who the original creditor was.  After a few minutes a lady came on the phone with a long disertation about a lawsuit, malicious intent to defraud, bla, bla, bla.  I told her to get to the point and tell me who the original creditor is.  She listed an account that just keeps getting passed around from scavenger to scavenger even though it was discharged in a Bankruptcy.  She told me to fax my Bankruptcy papers to her and I told her no, not unless I receive something in writing and that she could file whatever suit she wanted, I will just pass it on to my attorney if she really wanted to drag this back through court.  She said "fine, if you don't want to do this the right way, I'll just sign off on this".  I'll be shaking in my shoes waiting for a summons to show up and pass it on to my attorney.  But, I'm sure I'll never hear from them again until they sell the account to the next scavenger.

I'm calling BS on the raise in the credit score.  I have paid off a substantial amount of old collections with in the last 6 to 12 months and have not incurred any new collections believing that it would greatly improve my credit score and it DID NOT improve it at all.

The only things that DID improved my credit score was my car loan and 2 secured credit cards whose balances I keep at 0.  So BS Mr. White.

Oh and I'm SURE that back in August that was the SECOND time I paid it off, but I didn't have any documentation for that and wasn't 100% sure so I paid it again. Since I've been working on taking care of all this old stuff you can bet your butt that I am documenting EVERY SINGLE conversation, so I won't get ripped off again.

These folks called me today.  Spoke first to Kim Bradley, then spoke with Wayne Johnson.

The gist - they were calling because they just received my file concerning a Payday loan from 2007 and they gave me the name of the place.  It would have been plausible but the more she talked the more it was sounding very similar to a phone call I got in August and I paid THAT company double the original loan amount. (in researching that company today I  shouldn't have paid them either however they only deducted what was agreed upon and I have had no suspect activity on my account).  Of course she had to put Mr. Johnson on the phone and I explained that I needed 24 hrs to get my paper work together and I would be calling them back.

Lots of fast talking, lots of double talk when I called him back.  When I asked who they got my case from, I was put on hold for a minute or 2, when he came back on the line there was more fast talking and I stopped him and restated what he had just told me about getting a SRL - Statement of Release Letter which is what they were wanting me to fax to them in order to stop this matter from going forward.   He had just finished telling me that companies don't have to send that letter when you have satisfied your debt.  I called him on it and asked again who they got my case from, after being put on hold again, He told me Nevada Trading. (??).  He apologized and said that I would not be getting any more calls from them, BUT he can't guarantee that I wouldn't get called from somebody else regarding this matter.

So Shady and they should not be allowed to state that they are "investigators"  would have freaked my mom out if they would have called her.  These people know how it sounds and most people would believe that it was some type of law enforcement person.

Don't let them get in your head and stand your ground, I am sure it's some type of scam.

Spending the last 19 years as a working single mom who did not receive child support I, unfortunately, have had years of experience dealing with these types of folks and long gone are the days of their scare tactics working on me.  I give it right back to 'em and I tell them they gotta stand in line as I am working on getting all these old things resolved.

So a Legitimate Law firm sits on this message thread calling people deadbeats and answering posts to further their cause?

Do you hire stay at home moms? and buy these accounts for pennies on the dollar and try and make money off of accounts that are years and years old?

Some people may have ran into personal problems or health issues or any number of things that went wrong, and seeing how you are the bottom of the food chain , you are trying to attach yourself to something unimportant and appear to be legitimate so you misrepresent yourself as a law firm and a legitimate debt collector and you wonder why people are typing these complaints about you?

I received a call and tried to explain this was not my debt it was an ex of mine that i did not authorize to use my name as a reference and knew nothing about it and i was called basically a liar. So i say you are scam collector bullying and harassing without legitimate facts and legitimate credentials, and encourage all to report the practice and the verbal harassing.

Dear Worthless Deadbeats,

I used to count myself in your number. Yes, I racked up debts and refused to repay them, refused to answer the phone, even refused to open my mailbox, which eventually collapsed under the weight of all my debt-related correspondence killing three innocent passers-by. Then I was contacted by Wallace & Associates, a law firm without peer, a firm so imbued with greatness and goodness that it would be sacrilege to ask for their credentials. They patiently explained to me the error my debt-dodging ways, that it was my patriotic duty to my country and our shared economy to pay my bills and live within my means. After drying my tears of shame and patting me on the back, they worked out an installment plan with me so I could resolve the undocumented $452,121.33 payday loan that I did not remember taking out, but as they explained, if it wasn't mine then why were they calling? They remained courteous, professional, and helpful throughout the process, even going so far as to have one of their female associates call me to talk nasty when I was feeling particularly lonely one evening.

So in conclusion, I plead with you to open your hearts and your bank accounts to Wallace & Associates. Believe in yourself. Believe in America. Believe in Wallace & Associates. After all, they believe in you.

Thank you for listening to this unpaid and unprovoked testimonial.

this company has left several messages on my cell phone and now has started harassing me at work, i told them i have not received any paperwork form them as to why they are calling me, they proceeded to tell me they are collecting for EZ Corp on some loan for 300.00 however they are wanting 952.00,  A Dwayne Johnson then got on the phone after i spoke to a lady that calls herself investigator Nash, he was offering me a settlement and was asking me for my salary and my bills and so on. A client was in front of my desk so this was embarrassing, I told him i could not talk so he suppose to call me back and harass me again.

I got a call from Wallace & assocates phone number (678-729-0088) and actually believed them and gave them my debit card information before I did a check on them. The lady I talked to sounded very'
convincing and I know I did have a olded payday loan out there, so I made payment arrangements with them but after reading this fourm - because I kept feeling uneasy about giving my information so
easily I call my bank and had my card cancelled right away and will call my own attorney to have them checked out which I should have done at first anyway. We all just have to watch our selves in this day and age where scams very, very, very good.

Get calls everyday for my son who is grown and controls his own money. When I ask if they are collecting for an online payday lender they clam up. When I tell them the Attorney General has shut down the Payday Lenders they get mad and say they are going to file papers in our Local County Courts. I tell them to go ahead and we will deal with it when it gets that far. It sounds like scum dealing with scum to me.

I recieved a call from Wallace & Associates at number 678-729-0088.  I told them not to hammer me about some bogus old debt, that they may have dredged up.  This investigator imediately came up with  a name, that I've never heard of and told me I was listed as a faimly member.  Needless to say i told her i didn't know said person, but as I tried to quiz her about this person, just to see if it sparked a memory, she lost interest and hung up.  I honestly don't know if she was really looking for this person or trying to get my information.
