This call came from Georgia, with the name CARE in the caller ID.  They asked for my wife by name.  When I asked, "Who's calling?" they hung up without so much as a goodbye.  I assume it's a scam of some sort.

It is CARE and they have called our house 2 days in a row before 9am and just hung up.

I, too, have been receiving repeated hang-up calls from this number.  With the information provided on your site, I looked up CARE.org and found contact information through the Better Business Bureau link.  I spoke to a lady named Carolyn who said she would remove me from the phone lists and who said she would follow up on the problems with this number.  I hope it works, as the calls are annoying.

we have been receiving  phone calls from CARE 678-820-8923 for about 2-3 weeks in the morning and evening. This morning I decided to answer the call, they asked for someone that does not live at my address and then they refused to tell me who they are, I asked again "what is CARE?" and the lady on the other end of the phone stated "Mr. _____ knows who we are." and then they hung up the phone.  They're probably scammers and no I will not be answering my phone again.

I have gotten calls from CARE for at least three days in a row now. No one answers on the other end and the phone just goes dead immediately when I pick up, like a high school prank. Very annoying!!
