We sent Comcast USPS tracking info and delivery confirmation 8 times confirming return of equipment along with photos of us packing up the equipment to send to them and they still harass us with calls. Unbelievable. We've talked to "escalations" 10 times; they are just the clueless "good cop" ("equipment recovery" is the bad cop). These people (Comcast) are CRAZY and STUPID. The Future of Awesome. Hilarious!

I got a call stating that I was going to jail if I didn't pay $1,000 and then I called Comcast to ask about this and they stated that I owed $200 or to return the equipment.  They knew nothing of this call or company.

These people have been harrassing me about returning my Comcast equipment for days. When I canceled my service, Comcast told me I have 30 days to return the equipment. These idiots told me I have 5 days and I'm going to be charged with fraud. I have called Comcast serveral times about these people and they give no regard to the harrassment. THANK GOD I don't have Comcast anymore.

I got a phone call from this phone number today, also about the comcast equipment stuff ...

I have called comcast billing department, all I can say that this phone number is a spam. It is not coming from Comcast.

I got a call from Comcast equipment recovery. They said I still owed them a modem. In fact I brought back both the modem and cable box when I discontinued my service. Right now I have ATT cable and internet service. Good luck, Comcast, getting me back as a customer in the future. Oh, by the way one of their customer service reps hung up on me when I called them back. I guess they can call me any time they want but if they don't want to talk to me then there's nothing I can do about that.

This company has been calling my number for the past year for the previous owner 've had my number for 2 years now , everytime i'm able to answer the phone i tell them they have the wrong number they claim they will remove it but then call again i've called them and they will claim it's not on their list well explain why your company keeps calling me then

It seems to come from Comcast. I have cancelled the internet 10 months ago, and returned the equipment then. I now received the phone call and informed me that Comcast to send off a technician to my home to do a research. And I will be finned $25.00 if I missed the appointment.

Send them a cease and desist letter ala certified us mail and one that demands they acknowledge it in writing that they will stop..

Then start reporting them and filing complaints if it continues..

FYI for others here also:

When ever you send something back via the mail to them, always get at least a tracking number so they can't say "we didn't get it"..

I assume its comcast, I have been getting calls from another number recently and when I call back the automated message says its about promo offer from comcast. Last month I canceled all my comcast servies and returned all my equipment.

These people call me at least 4 times a week, I usually ignore the call but today I answered.  Some GHETTO lady asked to speak to me, I told her she had the wrong number and she hung up.  They never leave a message and when you try to call them back, it says they can't accpet calls at this time.  I don't even have their equiptment!

If you're like me and don't have any Comcast equipment, they say they'll add you to a do not call list that will take effect in 2-3 days.  If you continue getting calls past this time, most US phone companies will allow you to block their number for up to 90 days for free.

I moved in January.  Was told to take the equipment with us, we did.  We were billed $340 for unreturned equipment, and no we did not pay it.  WE installed the equipment at our new place, and are STILL BEING BILLED FOR THE EQUIPMENT ON THE APRIL BILL.  I have gone round and round with Comcast and this place calling for the equipment.  I have been told numerous times the charges will be removed, the calls will stop.

Yeah.  Right.  Today I had to call AGAIN and was HUNG UP ON when I asked to speak to a supervisor.  I called back, was told a supervisor would call me back within two hours.  Here we are 3+ hours later and guess what ?  No return call.

Harassed Caller from October 2012.. thank you for posting those links.  Call that number. Lets see if THEY get the calls to stop.

Comcast is a JOKE of a company.  They have the WORST customer service and are ignorant as effing crap.

COMCAST calls twice a day everyday for equipment recovery.  They immediately apologize for calling when they realize I OWN my equipment...per their records.  This is an automated call number...meaning, your number is in Comcast's system and if you have disconnected service, it automatically calls you and an operator picks up.  I was told by Comcast that I was removed from the call list...wrong.  I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told she was busy and would call me back...never called.

You may get the recording "stand by for an important business call."  I have a list a mile long why I will never do business with them again...this just adds to it.

Comcast actually sent a rep to my job to pick up the equipment since I am not home during the day, which I thought was pretty nice. I received a receipt that I returned the equipment and now I am getting calls that it needs returned. I love how one hand doesn't know what the other is doing.

I am just going to start calling them and harassing them every day asking if they received the equipment back, even after they acknowledge that they have. Give them a taste of their own medicine.

Same thing on this end the woman apparently didnt hit her mute button on the phone and I heard an entire converstion about how someone had called the police on one of the comcast techs that had gone out to another ex customers house
