People should stop making debts that they dont intend on paying, , That is stealing!, Running  up credit card bills and writing bad checks............and know you are not going to pay ........Then get mad when people call you to pay.  WHAT IS THE WORLD COMING TOO............STEALING ???????????

Threatening arrest over a debt, even a real one, is illegal. Threatening arrest over a non-existent debt is also illegal and it's called extortion. Unfortunately, the criminals who called you probably reside outside the U.S. and are beyond the reach of U.S. law enforcement. All you can do is ignore them. They'll eventually move on and seek other, more naive victims.

File as many complaints as you can against CPU Management and Account Receivables. They are based in Georgia. Mrs. Hilliard and any who call from this company are breaking the law. Report them to the FTC and your local Attorney General's Office immediately.

They are breaking the law with threatening phone calls, making false statements that they are a law office, making harassing phone calls to your place of employment, etc. Fight back and complain. Pass this info on to as many sites as you can. Thank you.

Yes, writing a check, knowing it will bounce, is a crime. Writing a post-dated check, without the funds in the bank to cover the check is known as "kiting". Arguable as a crime to some, but it is. Being called by a foreign criminal, telling you that you will be arrested for check fraud, on a payday loan you never took out, is not a crime. It is however extortion.

Same problem as Mike.  These people call my family and my work saying I need to get ahold of them they are going to have me arrested.  Unsure how to handle this situation.

Called my parents saying severe allegations have been made against me and they needed to speak with my attorney or myself. Sounds like another scam!
