they called at 9:10pm pacific standard time and have called almost every night for the past 2-3 weeks....

I've been getting hang-up calls from this number for the last week or so - 2 or 3 a night (and late).  Wish it would stop!

They call and hang up. They get on your last nerve so you look it up. You get to file a complaint. You get Reverse Phone Detective and other scammers and they have the information for you but you have to pay them. That is the scam. They call and hang up and you pay them to find out who is doing it. Scam Scam Scam.

I am sure anyone reading this has experienced the annoyance of hang up calls
at all hours. Some show the number on caller id and some are hidden. I don't
have caller id and occasionally use *69 to get the number of the caller. I have
felt for quite awhile now that it is possibly just a scam perpetrated by
communications companies to get people to use tracing services or even to
subscribe to caller id. I even feel like a sucker using *69. When I called the
number immediately after I used *69, I got a recorded message saying "this number is no longer in service or has been disconnected" If it's been disconnected, how can it be calling me? Sounds like a scam to me. Anyone for
a class action lawsuit? Keep good record of such calls and their origin, and
try to avoid paying for tracing services if you can.

I just found out that 701-456-3702 comes from Consolidated Communications Networks, Inc. A number that can be used to call them for answers about their
bogus hang up calls is 701-483-4000. I believe such calls to be incredibly
rude and inconsiderate and if repetitive, borderline harassment! I too would
like some answers and an end to this nonsense.

Just started getting called by that number yesterday--already missed 3 calls. What do you do to get rid of them?

sign up for the do not call registry, and report them. this is the only way to stop these annoying telemarketing scum.

I keep getting calls from this number, 1 701-456-3702, there is no one at the other end. when you call the number it says it has been disconnected. This is harresment I am sick of it.

They have been calling every night at 8:15pm for the last 4 days, but never say anything.  I called the number back and got the message that the number was disconnected.

Received two evening hang-up calls from this North Dakota number..........

This person keeps calling our house but nobody will say anything.

These people have been calling my house for the past week.  On day one they told me to listen to them because I could save money on cable.  Day two, they said they were from comcast.  Day three I accidentally told them I have verizon.  Day four they pretended to be from verizon and argued with my husband who is not even named on the utility about changing service.  Day five, called and asked how many tvs we have.  We joked and said none.  He said DirectTV could fix that, but then asked why we were even speaking to them and hung up on us.  All men were indian trying to pull off an american accent - the "texan" guy was my favorite!  I reported to the FTC.  You must have the caller ID# and some details about the call in order to file a complaint.  Will anything happen?? Who knows.

Received a call yesterday again so we're back on their list of calls.
I will let the call go to our fax machine from now on because this  usually stops these unwanted calls.  The noise of a Fax machine is so annoying.  I called them back but just received the recording that the number had been changed or disconnected.  

Too bad these folks cannot spend their energy in more positive ways.  
Sad really.

The next time you're called after 9pm, answer and say-" Congratulations, you just broke federal law and I have your number!"
Another trick is to break in(if you get a warm body, that is!) and say-" This call is being recorded. One copy is going to my state AG and one copy is going to the state AG where you're calling from." Works for me.
I used to get calls from Atlanta NE(north east) that were actually traced to Buffalo, NY. I pulled that scam on them and they haven't called back in over a month! If they get brave enough to try again, I'll pull my reverse scam again!

Called twice...late at night...hung up when I answered.

I too, got a call late in the evening from 701-456-3702, after doing
some minor research, found out that it originated from Consolidated
Communications Networks, INC and they are in Dickinson, ND
A number you may be able to call and harass them at is 701-483-4000
I tried the number and due to being late hours on a weekend, had to leave
a message, but I requested that they stop calling me. Good luck to you.

Oh and the number on the Caller ID was 701-456-3702

They called around 6pm tonite and then at 9:40pm.  I answered the latter and a guy said, "May I speak to the lady of the house?" I said, "You are calling a little late, aren't you, and I'm on the No Call Registry." There was an eternal silence so I hung up.

They called after 9 and when I answered it hung up.  Two more calls 10 min apart came up and both said no ID available.  When I answered them it clicked twice and disconnected.  No sounds just clicking.

They called here 9:39 PM central I answered and it hung up.  I tried to call the number back and it said disconnected.

They call hang up. get on your nerves. You look up the number Reverse Phone Detective and other services come up. They know the info about who is calling you But you have to pay them. They are the ones making the calls. Its a scam. they call you pay them for info

It is a scam to get you to pay for their services such as Reverse Phone Detectives. They say they have all the information for the #701-456-3702 but then you have to pay for it. What a perfect scam. They call you pay.
