I called it back and it says "thanks for calling the number that appeared on your caller ID.  If you would like to lower your credit card bills...."   then I hung up.  Obviously, I did not miss an important call. ;)

THIS NUMBER CALLED MY CELL LATE MONDAY EVENING, IT SCARED ME, TRACED BACK, SAID IT WAS FROM CENTER, ND.  STUPID COMPANIES- THEIR TRICKS DON'T GET THEM SALES, THEY FRIGHTEN PEOPLE. ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU HAVE FAMILY IN THE MILITARY, THEY SUCK, THEY ARE EVIL

Many attempted calls to my cell phone for two days. No messages.

Been calling on and off for a month or so.  Today though I've had 4 calls in the last 12 hours.  I called it back and it says "you may be eligible to lower your credit card intrest rates to as low as 5%" ... i hung up.  What a waste of time!  I'm not behind on anything or been late on anything... just a random obnoxious sales call.

I HAVE RECEIVED SOME CALLS FROM THEM. I DON'T ANSWER AND THEY DON'T LEAVE A MESSAGE. IF IT IS A LOWER YOUR DEBT DEAL THEN THEY SURE HAVEN'T DONE THEIR HOMEWORK TO SEE THAT I OWE NO ONE ON CREDIT CARDS.

I'm glad I can Block this number from calling. If I don't answer after two rings they stop the call and don't leave any message. Very annoying.

They didn't actually say WHO they were but that I was being contacted because I had visited Free Credit Report .com (I DID NOT and I NEVER give out my cell # except to family and close friends) They left a call back number for a SURVEY and promised coupons or gift certificates if I called and completed the survey.

Hung up on my answering machine.

I want to know HOW this company got my number!  I want to know what legitimate company I'm dealing with SOLD my number to this company so that I can discontinue my relationship with them.

You may be interested in reading a news release this office issued in May 2010, warning about scam telephone calls using spoofed North Dakota (701 area code) telephone numbers, at http://www.ag.nd.gov/NewsReleases/2010/05-25-10A.pdf. Since then, we have received reports from across the country of other scams using spoofed ND phone numbers.

Unfortunately, scam artists ignore state and federal laws, which is why the Do Not Call registry is not preventing these calls.

Here's a thing I like to do.  When someone calls who I know to be a telemarketer, etc., I just pick up the phone, put it to my ear, don't say anything, and wait to see what happens.  Many of them don't expect that, nor do they know how to deal with it.  :)

I am so tired of this, how do they get our cell numbers?

KEEPS ON CALLING EVERYDAY AND NIGHT.  I DONT ANSWER.  WANT TO KNOW WHO THIS PERSON IS SO TO BOTHER THIS PERSON AT HOME.

I received a call from 701-920-9962 that was automated and was a scam.  I called back and instead of just adding my number to the do-not-call list, I pushed 1 to speak with an associate.  The dirtbag who picked up clearly hated his job and has to deal with angry people all day, and had nothing else to say other than "I'll put you on the do-not-call list".  He eventually hung up on me after I asked him questions like "where did you get my information" and "does your company comply with the national do-not-call list?"...so I called back.  The next scum sucker who answered gave me to his "supervisor" and I got the same story.  This "supervisor" named Abraham states the company name was "Card Member Services" out of Largo, FL.  He claimed they are compliant with the national do-not-call list and if I got called it must have been a mistake (laughable).  I asked if he was aware that the company not only made a mistake, but is in violation of the law, and he had nothing else to say.  He did, however, give me the following number:
