I got the same message only it said that susan had sen't it? any clue how they mite have gotten our numbers?

I received this message...

Both my phone and my husband's phone got the same message but with different originating phone numbers. We deleted it without opening.

My message came from Michelle. I do not have a data plan on my phone- txt & sms blocked. I will be majorly ticked if I get charged for this.

I received a text from 702-279-8035 to my cell phone telling me to go to http://ow.ly/g5J3F

I received a text from this number saying Tina said to forward this to you http://tinyurl.com/augzmo5.  Seeing that I'm not the only one who received this type of strange text, I think it's safe to assume it is either a virus or a spammer.

OOps....The call  came from 702-279-8035 to my cell phone. (Only my family has this number)

"Mary told me to send you this"  Bahaha......Who the H is Mary?  Some people must think the general public is stupid.  What next?

Got this text just now and did the same as everyone else and googled it..thought it could be real cause my moms name is Mary and grandpa lives in NV (which is 702 area code) Glad I didnt fall for that.

something about mary wanting meto have some link.  I just finished a hospital inspection and the Surveyor was called Mary. So I opend the link (assuming it was tomorrows survey agenda) ...it was a stupid ad for costco (or some virus no doubt)!

got this phone number tonight with a link saying" jennifer said to send this to you." im getting sick of these stupid spammers!!!!

I got a text from this number saying:

"Jennifer said to send this to you http://is.gd/5KJ8ux"

Both, they want your computer/phone to get a virus as well as phish info outta you.

I got the same text message. "Jennifer said to send this to you  http://bit.ly/TV4BhS. I didn't look it up. when I googled it, I got this web site. Not sure what is up, but I've heard alot about fishing and this possilbly sounds like someone fishing for information or wanting to get me with a virus.

Just received the same text... and my Mother's name is Jennifer. I opened it on an iPhone. Shut the phone off immediately. Need more information about the spam... assuming the distributor doesn't lack purpose for sending it.

Same thing, text said "Jennifer asked me to send this to you."  Good thing I don't know any Jennifers that actually go by their whole name.

Received a message that said "Jennifer asked me to send this to you" . . . sent me to a COSTCO eGift Card. DID NOT open it up - looked like a spammers delight to send B.S. to my email address!!

I got the same text and it said "heather told me to send this to you" and then the link I didn't open it.

What does this txt message means

I just got a text from this number, saying "Michele told me to send this to you" and a link atached. I didnt open it and looked up the number. So I would say dont fall for  it and delete the message.

I got a message from this number.

It's a fake ad for costco gift card.  I only clicked the link on my adroid phone so I was less worried about this spam message.  I didn't proceed because I am sure that's when it could have gotten nasty (virus wise) although I do have antivirus on my android just in case...

Forgot to mention I went to the address and it was some kind of ad for Costco
