Called, hung up when answered.  Have seen on other sites this is a spoofed number - I'm on do not call list.

Kept calling & hanging up when answered.  When I called back privately to find out who it was, a "Mr. Brooks" answered.  He said he was with PRS, but wouldn't say why he had been calling.  He DID keep asking what # he had called that I was asking about, saying "Time is money, and you're just wasting my time, so are you going to give me your number?"  So I hung up on him.

Have a new phone number for 6 weeks, we are on do not call.  Get calls from this number, a Mr. Stevens.  No message other than to call.  No clue who they are, will not return any call these days that doesn't leave a message and they don't say who they are calling for!  Cannot block this call for some reason.  Says the number is not available for blocking service.

This number is Professional Recovery Services.

They have every right to call you, they are a collection agency.

They do have access to non-public information, as well as unlisted numbers.

The Do-Not-Call list does not apply to people like this.

If you don't owe people money, then TALK to them, once they are sure you are not the person they are looking for they will quit wasting their time and yours.

This seems to be a Collection Agency trying to collect money.  Do not give them any information.  They should send you a letter within 5 days after contacting you.  Do not talk to them.  Debt Collectors lie and always get people mixed up.  Ron you need to shut up, you must work for a debt collector.

Mr Perry from this number has called me repeatedly. I have talked to him, he is confusing me with a Chinese name. Have talked to him twice. Told him he got the numbers mixed up, he apologized and said he would take my number off the list but calls keep on coming. They keep calling me during work hours. I am now thinking about taking legal action against them for this persistent harrassment

Getting continual calls from them asking for identifying information like birthday, phone number, and last four of social security number (can we say -identity theft? That's what really peeved me and first tipped me off to more than just a debt collector). They have yet to read me the "this call is from a debt collector and any information obtained will be used...." riot act that every true debt collector is required to read by law when contacting debtees. That right there tells me something is not koshure with them. And PUSHY??? My garsh but they got pushy with my wife and she finally hung up on them just to maintain her sanity - that torqued me sideways too. I mean, I've dealt with lots of debt collectors before, and am making good on all of my debts, and had good relationships with most of them, but these guys do NOT fit the debt collector mold and make me think something is VERY fishy with them. Am strongly considering filing a complaint with the FBI (on grounds of interstate fraud and telephone harrasment).

I did a little research, and according to http://www.manta.com/c/mmzfvv6/professional-recovery-services, they are in Las Vegas (mob capital, USA) and have a declared staff of ONE - so why tell all the different names to different people on the phone?

fed up collector.
Why should we do anything if we do not owe anyone any money.?
Why do you idiots think you can call someone and harrass them?
These jerks don't even have the RIGHT name, idiot boy.
If I met one face to face, which you jerks are afraid of doing, you might find your stupid a** on the ground, bleeding from gun shot wounds, and casterated.

You, sir are as stupid as you presumably look.
We DO NOT have to put up with your crap, and your dumbass can be sued for making threats and for phone harrassment.
ESPECIALLY when I have no debt other than my mortgage, and never have and never intend to.

The jerks you collect for, send you a credit card at 9% (or less) and over time, you idiots raise it to 30% and more, just like the mafia does. You should be jailed and executed just like the mafia.

If you don't rights, then go back to the stupid country you came from and  f**k your sister, like we all did and try to make some more inbred idiots like yourself.

We have our rights, and oif you violate them ,we come after you.

Here's your sign "STUPID!!!"

Debt Collector
Some evasive debt collector wouldn't tell me the purpose of the call, so I had some fun.

I like to change the subject immediately.  In this case, I asked them if they know Big Tommy in Clark County (in Nevada).  Upon denial, I refused to believe them because they he talks exactly like all the gay porn actors Tommy pays for sex and start ranting about how the caller is not going to turn you gay.  (Nothing wrong with being gay IMHO, but it tends to offend folks when you insist that they are.) and on and on.

Another time went like:  "Your name is what?!!!  I remember you back in high school.  Man you should never have tried to masturbate the principal's dog all those times.  Look how screwed up you life is now!!  I mean a debt collector?  JESUS your life has gone down the toilet."  Etc. Etc.etc.

Never let them get a word in and take control of the conversation immediately.

I promise it's a LOT of fun and gives you a sense of satisfaction if you can get them all upset.

Same goes for ALL telemarketers, of course.

You guys are addressing this the wrong way!

When A$$hole collectors call you, HAVE FUN with it.  Change the subject immediately.  As an example, ask them if they know Big Tommy in Clark County (or wherever).  Upon denial, say you don't believe them because they talk exactly like all the gay porn actors Tommy brings home and start ranting about how the caller is not going to turn you gay.  (Nothing wrong with being gay IMHO, but it tends to offend folks when you insist that they are.) and on and on.

Or perhaps  "Your name is what?!!!  I remember you back in high school.  Man you should never have tried to masturbate the principal's dog.  Look how screwed up you life is now!!  I mean a debt collector?  JESUS your life has gone down the toilet."  Etc. Etc.etc. and so on.

I tried to tell them that i did not owe them anything but they do not believe me.  they continue to call, call, call.  diod u ever think that the number is incorrectly given, or may have been changed due to a transposition error.  Yor position is that u as collector are correct and we as "OWE NO DEBT VICTIMS" are in the wrong.  and by the way IFu are fed up THEN GET A REAL JOB

You mabe the victim of a deadbeat like I was.  In my case someone lied on the loan application when they took out a car loan.  They gave my phone number instead of their own, then stopped making payments.  I had to confront them to get rid of them.

These people are third party debt collectors which means they are the scum sucking, bottom feeders of the world. They have purchased the loan you probably defaulted on for next to nothing and now are trying to make a profit on it. And guess what. Yhey CAN legally do so. Probably people who have no life and just cant get a job anywhere else.

Do you think it is appropriate that when asked about the alleged debt owed that they use profane language while trying to get information from you and then, without providing me the information, bi*** some more and then hang up?

This company is an identity theft scam.  Do not provide any info to the callers.  I have reported this company to the FBI.  Document any threats and inform police or FBI if you receive a call from this number.

This seems to happen every day or so. Just a recorded message saying "This is Mr Stevens from PRS. Please call me at 8xx-xxx-xxxx." I didn't take down the number because I was afraid it would turn out to be one of those numbers that end up charging you for your connect time. My caller ID showed the calling number to be 702-489-3900. Checking the web, this appears to be either a collection agency (I owe no one) or a complete fraud.

Upon receiving multiple calls from this number on my new cell phone, someone indicated a terrorist attack will occur unless I pay a bill for someone whom I do not know.  It appears this is a fraud operation, attempting to gain information for identity theft.  I have reported this number to the FBI and encourage all others to do so as well.
