Been receiving calls from 702-505-4308 at my work number since May of this year.  They call so frequently, I just pick up the receive, place them on hold, and go about my business.  This seems to have diminished the calls.  At one point they called my supervisor and asked for my personal information.  She wouldn't give it but left her with a call back number, a file number and yes, the infamous "Neil" was the contact person.  Since the calls from this number diminished, I received a call from 310-359-8203.  The recorded message said it was Gibralter Law firm calling.  I did a Google search, no such law firm.  Did a reverse number lookup and found it was a T-Mobile cell number from Malibu, California.  Most recently I am now getting calls from a 703 area code - one of the Carolina states.  All a scam.  If anyone has a legitimate debt against you, they will contact you by mail.  You have 30 days from the date of the letter to dispute the debt and to demand proof of the debt.  If they can't provide that information within 30 days, the so-called debt remains disputed and they can't attempt collection until they prove the debt.  This means they need to provide proof that it was you who actually are responsible for the debt and proof must be in the form of an agreement or contract.  Be careful not to accept proof of debt from a re-aged account.  May third-party collectors say that the debt is collectable because they re-aged it as of the date they got it from the original debtor.  Re-aged accounts are against both state and federal law.  Research the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and look for standard form letters to dispute your debt.  They can be found free online.  Be proactive with these types of collectors.  They are sneaky, will get a court judgment against you and try to collect for the original debt and accrued interest that is likely 3 - 4 times the amount of the original debt.

I have been getting calls from this 702-505-4308 at first it was a recording saying that i owed them something from my bank today it was a live person saying to call him back and gave this number as his call back said his name was neil bard he sounded like a usa citzen i am sick and tired of these calls

Called me today from 702-505-4100....for the past couple of months it was 702-505-4105 and was a recorded message. Today, it was a live voice saying he was from Gibraltar and Associates and has a returned item from my bank??? Absolute scam!! In the past, it was Young, Zimmerman, and Associates, ESP and Associates(yeah right!!) and Mullins and Kane......getting very frustrating.......message is left and I just erase it because I know they're full of it. How do we get rid of them?

THIS IS A SCAM. THEY WILL CALL YOU REPEATEDLY AND TRY TO GET YOUR INFORMATION FROM YOU. THEY WILL TRY TO SCARE YOU AND MAKE YOU BELIEVE YOU OWE THEM SOME KIND OF DEBT. EVERY TIME THEY CALL IT IS ANOTHER STORY. THE FIRST TIME IT WAS THAT I OWED MONEY ON A "LOAN" I TOOK OUT FROM A CONSTRUCTION COMPANY ACROSS THE COUNTRY. OK, RIGHT. SECOND TIME THEY CALLED THEY TRY TO SAY MY IDENTITY WAS STOLEN AND THEY WERE CALLING TO HELP ME. THEY WILL TRY OVER AND OVER TO GET INFORMATION OUT OF YOU. THEY CLAIM THEY ARE CALLING FROM A PLACE CALLED "NORTHEAST CREDIT SOLUTIONS." IT DOES NOT EXIST, THEY ARE SCAMMERS. THEY HAVE TRIED TO GET MY MIDDLE NAME OUT OF ME, TRIED TO GET MY ADDRESS. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION. THEY GO BY VARIOUS NAMES SUCH AS INVESTIGATOR BUNDY, NEIL, WALTER JOHNSON. IT IS ALL MADE UP. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY OF YOUR INFORMATION. THEY ALSO CALL FROM 702-505-4100. DO NOT GIVE THEM INFORMATION. I HAVE ALREADY REPORTED THEM TO THE FTC AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO AS THEY CONTINUE TO CALL ME AT MY WORKPLACE.
