Auto call asking to hit i to connect to a warranty sevice person and 2 to be removed from list. This is of course illegal if you're on the do not cal list. Actd as if I was interested pressing 1 because I've pressed #2 at east three times in the past. Was connected to a Sr. Warranty Advisor. She quoted me a ridiculous price 385 down and then 151 per month for 18 months. She said the company is Tech Choice under EFG which is owned by Pepsi.

Same as most of the others.  A call just about every week telling me that this is my last chance to receive extended auto warranty- I only wish that were true!  I played along this time and I was told that they were National Warranty Service Center in Orlando Florida selling EFG USA warranties.  I hope that I have enough info to report them to the DNC group if anyone know how to contact the DNC group please let me know.

Got a call from this company this evening telling me that my warranty is about to expire and to please verify the make of the vehicle for security purposes. I told the caller "Michael" to tell me the make of the vehicle and he would not. I decided to play along and told him a fake make and model of vehicle which I do not own. His response? "Yes sir that is the vehicle we are referring to" to which I replied "guess what, I never owned that vehicle". The caller promply hung up on me. When I called the number back I got a recording telling me that the number is disconnected. Hmmmm

I know they say they are "Warranty Services Division" but after much effort I have determined that they are actually Pacific Guard Warranty, and this is their website http://myprogressivewarranty.com/

They seem legit (they really wanted to sell me a warranty, they knew about cars, etc), but they have _terrible_ marketing practices.  They've called my cell phone dozens of times, despite repeatedly claiming to have removed me from their list.  They've also called my home phone over and over, and my co-workers' cell phones...it's ridiculous.

I just received the same call today.  I have received this call numerous times.  When I pressed one, a lady came on the phone.  When she completed her pitch, I asked her what company she was with.  After she replied I asked her how she knew if my warranty was up or not.  What kind of car do I drive.  She hung up on me.  I called back the number on my caller ID but it was continuously busy.  I looked them up online and found this forum.  I called the 800 number and some jerk again hung up on me.  I called back again and a lady answered.  I acted REAL friendly and then asked her why everyone there keeps hanging up on me.  She said she didn't know, what was it that I needed?  LOL  I asked her if I could speak to someone about removing my phone number from their call list.  Her tune changed, but she didn't HANG UP on me!  She said she had my number on caller ID and that she would give it to her supervisor and it would be removed from the list.  We'll see!

We have been receiving calls from this organization for about 3 weeks now.  We get about 30 calls a day in the office on multiple lines.  We have pushed every button possible and have spoken to several people and get hung up on each time.  We have been given about a half dozen different names of the company.  This cannot and should not be legal.  I have employees who are spending time answering the phone for these idiots and becoming more and more frustrated.  At a total loss as to what to do.

I got this call tonight for the first time (as far as I know) and when I got to talk to a human being, and she wanted me to verify the make and model of my car, I said, "No, I didn't hear your name. Will you tell it to me again, please?" She hung up on me. The call was a recording, which I understand is illegal, and it did not identify who the company was, also illegal, and I am on the National DNC list, so there were 3 illegal things happening here. Very interesting. I wonder how many scam calls I was getting to this phone number when I wasn't home most of the time like I am now?

Just received a call on my cell phone from Warranty Services Division regarding the expiration of the warranty on my vehicle occuring soon.  The number came up on caller ID as "Unknown" so I am unsure that it was from 702-520-1049, but the name of the business calling is the same as most everyone elses.  Warranty Services Division told me that they would be removing me from their database.

Needless to say, I called my car dealership and relayed the phone call and hoped that they did not "sell" this information.  Ironically, my saleman had justed called me last week on my cell phone to discuss the pending termination of my lease in December (it was June when he called) and told me that if I received a call from a company regarding my vehicle to just ignore them.  I am just putting 1 and 1 together and assuming that my number has been sold.

This is only the second time I have received an unsolicited call on my cell phone, the last was from President Bill Clinton (evidently a recorded message) encouraging me to support my congressperson on pending legislation.

Technology is great, but scarey at the same time.

Got a machine recording telling me my warranty was expired on my car, false as I don't own a car, but pressed "1" to speak with a representative.

After doing so I asked for the company name: "Warranty Services Division"

and how they got my number. They said something along the lines of "from a database of people who have expired warranties."

They confirmed my phone number and said it would be removed from the list. This was my first call and we'll see if that happens.

But the most annoying thing was that this call was to my cellphone which in the years that I've had it has not received a telemarketing call. I'm quite disappointed.

Just received the 10th-ish call from this company (not sure if the company name has been consistent, but it's the same automated message about vehicle warranty expiration).  This is the second time I've requested to be removed from their call list.  Upon multiple requests for the parent company's identity (with no luck, of course), I opted to give up.  Next time, I suppose I'll try being more forceful, now that I know I'm not alone and that this is not some administrative error.

"Called wanting to sell extended warranties for vehicles.  They have been calling for the past couple months and hang up if you ask any questions they don't like.  After searching here I've found they seem to jump from number to number selling auto warranties or your credit card is overdue or if we want auto insurance.  If you try to call back any of the numbers they are always disconnected.  Being on the DNC list makes no difference with them apparently.  This is what I have found out so far.  All of this information is unverified by myself.

They go by several names:
1) Extended Auto Warranty
2) Dealer Services
3) Automotive Warranty Protection Services
4) The Choice Warranty Company
5) Auto Warranty Specialists
6) Account Services
7) Warranty Service Center
8) Automotive Warranty Solutions

They have gone through numerous name changes over the past few years.

Most seem to feel the originating company is:

Automotive Warranty Solutions
6501 Congress Ave Ste. 140
Boca Raton, FL 33487
or
3344 Mid Rivers Mall Dr.
St Peters, MO 63376

I've found severall numbers but they all are very close

"As much as I believe many consumers overreact to situations, this is a true example of attempted identity theft.  Thank you to the people above who have posted information regarding this scam.  I too have received several phone calls from this number, and some which have been labeled unknown but stated they were from the same company.

Important Information:

A new name:  "National Auto Warranty Services"

A new location:  St. Louis, Missouri

In addition to the information posted above, please be aware of these details as well.

(I have heard them identify themselves as the other 8 names listed in the other posts on this site, and can also verify that information.)

Please report incidents that occur to local and federal authorities.  If this fraud is to cease, the authorities will be the only ones who may bring about proper justice.

These phone calls are identity theft.  I am concerned for individuals who actually give these people such information.  If you have given these people your information, I would personally recommend changing any accounts, contacting local authorities, and specifically and most importantly reporting these events to the Federal Trade Commission.  The number for the Federal Trade Commission Identity Theft Hotline is 1-877-382-4357.

Federal Trade Commission Identity Theft Hotline:
877-382-4357

For those not aware, the FTC is a federal agency which does a very important and serious job at protecting consumers throughout the country.  They will legitimately investigate complaints and work hard to stop and possibly bring action against fraudulent companies.

If something has happened to you, please report it.

Just called (561) 994-3997, talked to a woman named Tanya at the office of the extended insurance company contracting the telespamming.  She actually gave me 5 min or so to argue with her about how they do business, and it was rather amusing.  Her response was basically "Yeah, we know this is annoying but we're not the only company in town who does this."  I said yeah, and I'm not the only drug dealer in town, so must make it right.

Anyway, like the parent poster I encourage you to call them and tell them what you think of their business practices.

I continue to receive calls from this same organization.  I receive at least a call a week.  I've been hung up on repeatedly and give multiple company names, to include National Auto Warranty and Warranty Services Division.  The numbers come up as unknown, private or various numbers from area code 702.  All listed numbers do not accept incoming calls.  And, of course, they say that they will remove my number, even telling me that they took my name off of their computer, and, I never gave them my name...

I have gotten this call from some Auto Warranty Division several times at my home.  The recorded message was to press one for a rep. or press two to have your number removed.  I pressed two the frist 5 times they called then started pressing one spoke to someone and told them my car is brand new (2 weeks) they said they would remove my name.  Again they called pressed one and asked to speak to a supervisor and was hung up on.  Then they started calling my cell phone agian I pressed one and was hung up on again.  This is crazy.  WTF.

I keep getting calls from these people... it tells me my vehicle warrenty is going to expire and to press 1 for a representative.  I press one and have at least 4 times asked to be removed from their list and they say they have done so...

I asked for a supervisor the time before this last time and was hung up on... today i asked what company this was and he told me and hung up the phone...

Is this legal?  It is ridiculous, I do know that!

Just got my second call from them. They contacted me on my cell phone, as well, about a month ago. At that time I told them 1) I do not OWN a vehicle and 2) To remove my cell phone number from their call list.

With today's call, I asked for a company name and the name of the caller: The company name received: Warranty Services Division
The contact name given: Dante

My tone during the call gave Dante the impression that I was not interested in their services and he attempted to politely end the call without giving further details.

Again, I asked them to remove the number from their call list. Dante pressed me to confirm my number. I responded, it was confirmed last time.

Yet another "car warranty expiring" call from National Warranty Services Division.  Pressed 1 to talk, representative immediately wanted make and model of car.  Asked company name, above was given.  Told her this call was to a cell phone - no response.  Told her that auto-dialer calls to cell phones is against FCC regulations, and that in addition I am on the DNC registry.  She said "We comply with all federal regulations, and if you'll give me the number called, I'll remove it from the autodialer."  I did.  We'll see if they do.
