The same heavy Indian accent with the name Mack, contacted me today.   I kept saying I could not understand him and if he was from MicroSoft or a company to support then let me speak to a Supervisor or someone who could at least speak english or spanish.    I did not give him any information and asked for a call back number and an employee ID.    He provided me with this number but the call came thru as Private Caller.

It's hard to believe this scam artist has been using his own phone number for so long and getting away with this pathetic scam. Isn't there some way to put this guy behind bars where he belongs? I got a call at my work number from a man (with thick Indian accent) who identified himself as Mack (later Mack Martin) from Microsoft Corp. He told me that my computer had been compromised and my personal data was being leaked onto the Internet. He then proceeded to tell me he would be able to repair my computer by remote access... with my help. I asked him to verify he was from Microsoft, and he proceeded to "prove" he was authentic by reading me my computer ID by phone -- 32 characters of nonsense. I told him I would work with him only if he gave me a callback number. He did, I looked up his number online and found this site. I then proceeded to call him back. When he answered (as a Microsoft technician) I suggested he get a job and stop scamming people. No response! Stay away from this pretentious thief. I hope he gets caught and prosecuted some day.

Same scam as reported by others.  These guys are smooth.  I was almost taken  by this, even though I've worked as a computer sysadmin for years.  They said they were calling from Windows Health and Support Center, and then claimed it was Microsoft when I asked. Had me pull up event viewer on my Window computers, and showed me error messages, and claimed that my info was leaking from my computer onto the internet due to the Heartland Bug.   Definitely calling from what sounded like a calling center, spoke to 3 different people all with thick Indian accents including the "senior tech" Sam Walton.  I got suspicious when they wanted to put remote software on my computer, and charge $180  to fix my computer.  He gave me this number to call back on, and said it was Nevada.  Very shady characters.  I hope someone is investigating them.

This is the second time I've received a call from these people.  They say they are the Help and Support Center for Windows and that my computer has been leaking personal information, I have corrupt files and a lot of junk files that are slowing down my computer.  They say they are provided with all the information from Windows when you registered your software.  When I kept pressuring him about giving me the phone number to the company he said "What's the big deal?"   I answered by saying "That's how you speak to your clients?"  He gave me his number, which by the way does not show up on caller ID, and I googled it.  I'm glad I found this website!  The phone number comes from Nevada, I'm from New Jersey.

I received a call from a man saying he was with Microsoft Help and support.  He said my microsoft account was being used illegally - microsoft servers were receiving illegal pings, viruses, etc. and if I did not download Teamviewer.com I could be facing legal charges,.

I did not download it.  I said I did not know who he was.

He said he was Senior Operating ... with Microsoft Help and Support and to call 702-583-5515  to confirm who he was and to ask for him - Sam Wilson.  I did not call.  This is the second call I have received about this.

He says our account was hacked by heartbleed.

He was rude ... loud ... almost yelling.  I did not believe he was with MS,

I too have received several calls from these people, I told them I was away from computer and they want a specific time I would be on my computer.  I played their game.   They called me an hour before I told them too.  They were from a call center - I heard in the background. He said he was from Microsoft-he said he had my IP address too.   He was Indian, pushy as well.  I told him I am not turning my computer over to him.  He said I had serious computer problems - that people had my bank account name and number (ID thief).  I told him to give the name of his company and phone number.  He said (just like you), Optonpccare.net  (702) 533-5515 and ask for FRANK when I call back.  SCAM SCAM SCAM

just received a call from 704-583-5515. I was told my computer was leaking my facebook and emails when i browse the internet. The mans name was Daniel from Las Vegas,Nevada. I asked what country he was from because of a very heavy Indian(sounding) accent. He knew the owners' name on my computer and told me he had my id# also. He claimed to work for Windows Operating Center. I kept asking questions which seemed to really annoy him. He insisted on calling back to speak with my husband after i told him i was on google researching his number. By the way, I don't have a facebook account!!!!!

Got a call on 4-2 from a man with heavy accent claiming to be with Windows 7 something or other.  Very difficult to understand but he was promising to fix my computer problem.
What made it plausible was that only an hour before I had been on the phone with Microsoft trying to resolve a problem with Internet Explorer.  Had not yet resolved the problem when I got this call so at first I thought perhaps MS had passed my problem on.  I described my problem--as best I could understand it would be a free fix for a minor problem or tech would charge for something more complicated (sounds suspicious right there).  I allowed as we might look into it but I had an errand to run and lacked the time.  In any event he gave me to someone who spoke decent English and I said I lacked the time at the moment, would he give me a phone number so I could call back when I had more time.  He gave me 702-583-5515.  I asked if I should give whoever answered my call back my Microsoft Case Number.  He just said to ask for John Matthews.
The combination of someone I could barely understand and the clue (to me) that they had no clue about a case number caused me to google the number and now I see my suspicions are confirmed.  But it sure was coincidental (?) they called an hour after I was on the phone with Microsoft tech...

I was called and told if I did not allow the Microsoft technician access to my PC the "errors" (which were allowing hackers to retrieve my personal info daily) would cause identity theft and ultimately my computer to crash.  I usually hang up on these type of calls but was taken in, to the tune of $263.00.  The Indian man that I spoke with had the ID# of my computer and told me he worked with Microsoft and was authorized by Microsoft to repair the errors.  He identified himself as Rob Williams.

I received a call tonight pretty much the same as the others. The man with an Indian accent said he was calling about my windows computer.... Haha anyway he kind of had me thinking because we did call tech support for hp and Microsoft account but the reason he was calling for was strange. He said that my computer was sending error messages when I was shopping and sending emails.... Haha I mean when I see unknown on the caller I'd I automatically assume its a scam or telemarketer so they have to prove that they aren't and no one has yet. I told him I didn't have my computer and he asked if he could call back and I said sure but I still won't have my computer why don't I take your name and number and I'll call you back. He said his name was Eric Von or bond so I asked him to spell it he didn't understand so a asked him if it was v o n or  b o n d he said it was bond haha with that accent... Anyway I hung up and searched the number and here it is.;) wow what a dummy.....:-/

I love messing with these guys. I run Mac so I knew immediately it was a scam. Apparently it's a "family" including Mark, Daniel and Harry Wilson and their unnamed "sister" who all work for "Windows Computer".
Harry was apparently reading from a script because he got very frustrated when I asked questions. At least they are smart enough to give a real phone number knowing we can easily track them.

I just got a call from these folks.  The man on the phone said that he was from the Windows help desk.  He had a thick Indian accent and was difficult to understand.  He asked me some personal information which I avoided giving him by turning the questions on him. He also wanted me to get on my computer so he could give me instructions on how to fix a supposed problem with my computer.  This sounded really fishy to me so I asked him for his phone number.  He gave me 702.583.5515.  I asked him where he was calling from and he said Las Vegas.  I was afraid that the 702 number was from a foreign country so I looked it up on google and found this website.  I'm so glad that I didn't go along with him!!!

Ditto all of the above - received call today 1/29/2014.  Again, heavily accented Indian person called "Danial Jackson".   Told him I wasn't in front of my computer and he wanted me to give him a specific time when I would!   He was obviously reading from a script.   Told him I didn't know when I would be at my computer (even though I was at it when he called!).    I put them phone down on them and he even called me back!   He had my full name, home phone # and zip code so I suspect they're going through the phone book

Received the call on a Saturday afternoon.  Heavy Indian accent - Male.  Said his company contracts with Microsoft to catch malware, etc. and that my home computer was letting out personal information onto the web for scammers, et al. to use.  When I started to get impatient, and decided to terminate the call, asked got a  little exercised and and said: "Why. I cannot do anything to your computer if you are not on the internet - just sit down at it and I will walk you through it."  When I finally said ' 'goodbye ... I don't have time for this' he gave me this number to call and instructed me to ask for Jason Wilson.

Robert just called me. Said he was with Help and Support Center for Windows Computers. Same story as above. They were alerted by my computer that my computer has been sending out my personal information and that if I could just go to my computer they would tell what to look at and I could see it for myself. I told him that now was not a good time but I would call back. I got the callback number from him and then I asked him "So this is Microsoft Windows?". He seemed irritated and said that it was Windows Computers. It seemed very odd to me and we didn't have a good connection. Plus very heavy Indian accent. Even after I told him that I would call back, he wanted to know when a good time for him to call be back would be.
So I did a reverse lookup and found this site about this number. Crazy!

Got the 1st call last night. Same story, Indian guy called saying he work with Microsoft and that he rec'd reports that my computer was at risk. I was suspicious so I asked the company name & phone # and told him I was busy & that my husband would call him back. He told me Opton Telecomm LTD and gave me 702-583-5515. I googled the name and it listed as a company in England....but I didn't see any mention of fraud.

Tonight they called again (caller ID V21205282800009 1-000-000-0000). Again, same story. I questioned him & told him I didn't have time. He was insistent that I hit the windows button & the letter R so he could prove to me that I was at risk. I did that but decided not to continue when he said I needed to enter the letters: eventvwr. Told him I was busy with my son & couldn't continue. I told him I would call them back as soon as I could verify with Microsoft that they were affiliated. I asked him for the Co. name again and this guy said Opton UST Group. Afterwards, I decided to google the phone # and that's where I saw all the scam notices. I feel really bad for the people who think they are legitimate.

The only persons who should be touching your computer is you, your manufacturer, Real Windows support that you have called and/or maybe a real live tech you see face to face!

Just received the call from "Robert" after I asked for the name and phone number.  Caller was Robert despite the fact it was a woman with an accent.  She kept saying over and over again she needed my Microsoft Windows license number as my computer has been infected.  She told me she was calling from Las Vegas and repeated the same story over and over.  I said if my computer has problems and you are calling me why do I have to provide you the information?  I asked her what information she can provide me with that verifies my computer has problems.  She was getting irritated and kept saying over and over again she was with Microsoft Windows technical department.  I kept telling her this does not make sense and this does not seem right. I then asked her what my email was and my name and she could not even tell me that information.  I hung up and sure enough she called back two seconds later.  Pathetic.

they got me too. A 2-hour call last Friday. The first one claiming to be from Comcast after which they turn be over to the paid fix site. Hundred fifty dollars later they said they fixed It.  today, Wednesday, I got another call from the same people using the above number trying to get me to let them log on to my computer. When I did the reverse check up on this number I found all of these complaints. Sorry to be long to this club but we have all learned something.

They just called me and gave me the same story, when I pressed him for more information about himself, he balked.  He even threatened me with revoking my Window's Lisence if I did not cooperate with him.  I demanded a number to call him back with and he finally gave it, Julius Rosen at 702-583-5515.  I am glad to see all your comments here.  I will report him as well.

unknown person called and said he was with Help Support Center for Windows Computer Users.  He said my computer was sending info to the international routing survey, which said something was wrong with my computer.  Something about downloading technical faults.  He told me how to look these faults up and then wanted me to go online so they could access my computer to fix the problem.  I was doubtful.  He gave me a number to call, which was this number.  When I googled this number, I found all these negative posts.  I hung up on him.  He was very convincing

I got the same type of call.. claimed his name was Mark.  I asked for his number, and at first he didnt want to give it to me, but I told him i needed it in case we got disconnected. He finally gave it me, and I played 'concerned computer owner' while I googled the number on my phone.  Saw that it is a scam, so I told him I better call Microsoft from my other phone... then I got the hang up click.  He messed with wrong person!  I blocked my number, called back and blew my whistle very loudly directly into the phone... I think his ears will be ringing for a long time!!!
