They keep calling my work number.

I think these guys have been calling me in the past few years, but only recently I was able to see a phone number on the caller ID : 702-723-3084 from Jean, Nevada. They called me last month, and again today. There are various site where one can post alerts about these numbers, so make sure you write on all of them. This is the only way these people will stop. I do not think they are genuine.

They say they are taking donations for the Fraternal Order of Police.

I have been receiving calls from the ?The Fraternal Order of Police? for a few years now.  I always ask them to remove me from their list, but obviously they do not.  A few years ago, I had the honor of working as a volunteer with the Washoe County Sherriff and Sparks Police Chief.  I asked both of them if this group was legit, they both said no.  Law Enforcement Officers in Northern Nevada are not allowed to ask for donations.  This is a scam!  Beware!

Just received a call from 702-723-3084, caller ID said unknown name so I didn't answer. They didn't leave a message, but I have dealt with them before; too pushy for a donation if you ask me.  MAN I LOVE THIS SITE!

This group The Fraternal Order of Police has been calling me for a few years now.  
Every time I have asked specific questions or asked if there is a way that I can verify their group the person on the other end of the cannot offer a direct answer.

I believe that this is a scam and I will no longer answer the calls when I see 702 723 3084 appear on my caller id.

If these people call you, just hang up the phone.

I got called by this today, 11/1/2010, and it was from something called The Fraternal Order of Police, out of Jean NV, which does the calling for the Las Vegas chapter of this organization, or so I suppose.

Seems somewhat legit, as they have an official website and all that, but they did ask for a donation and the behavior of the guy that called was very strange.

He asked for the Lady of the House, and when I asked who was calling, he got shifty, saying he 'couldn't hear me well' even though I could hear him great and I was talking quite loudly. Fair enough, though, so I repeat the question, and he bowled me over with a new question about donating to his cause, and then when I asked him what the Fraternal Order of Police are, he flat ignored me and told me to have a great day and ended the call while I was like, 'wait up a sec!' so I could figure out who these people are.

Not the best approach to take for donations...


Shifty at best, so up to you to send these dudes money.
