these folks called, for some reason my cell did not show the number, only asked me to accept the call or reject it.  thought it was my hubs calling from work, checked my cell phone and had that number on it.

I googled the phone number and thanks folks for letting me know it was a scam.

The representative kept contridicting himself and then finally said that you are a waste of my time so I was glad that he said no. Then like 10 min later someone else contacted me from the same # I told them I am not intrested do not call me again, According to your rep they had been open for 7 years and they never had any complaints well I was like you do now and I you have lost on person. They are scammers trying to phish information from new bussiness and small bussiness owners.

On Thursday, March 24, 2011, I received a phone call from a Victoria at Faith Based Funding. She stated that Faith Based Funding is an organization that helps small businesses get grants and felt that my business would qualify for some of the grants available. I returned her call on Friday, March 25th and she put me in touch with Grant Hiller. I expressed my concerns that they sounded like some kind of scam and he assured me that they are not and referred me to their website, www.faithbasedfunding.org and an ad they have posted on Manta. The Manta ad was new, so I looked up their website domain on www.whois.net. Their website is also new, just created on February 14, 2011 and the information connected to the website is blocked by Domains By Proxy. I could not find anything else on their company so asked about it and never received a reply.

They then took down their website. Thinking I had the website address wrong, I called to ask what it is and there was some whispering, then I was put on hold, and then hung up on. Their # is 702-776-7300 and their toll free # is 1-888-705-5455. If you search the number there is an entire list of people who have recently received calls from them. During their phone interview, they ask a variety of questions, most of which I declined to answer. They want to know your name, date of birth, what bank you have your business accounts with, your address, and how much is in the account.
