Collect call

It is actually not solely clermont. I get calls from Davies county and Fayette county on this number

The calls are not coming from Nevada. They come from all over the US. Do you have a family member or friend in jail or prison somewhere because that's what these calls are. They are NOT collect, they are prepaid. The inmates buy them from commissary. I am in Indiana too and my son calls me with this same number from a jail in Kentucky.

These calls are legit. Sadly my son is in jail and he uses this prepaid card to call me. He is in Ky but the area code for the card is Nevada because it goes through a router of sorts.

It's not a collect call. Someone is trying to reach you from a jail but they are using a phone card. There will be no charge to you.

This is an inmate phone service.  I have a friend in jail and every time they use their calling card to call me I get the same recording warning me it's a call from an inmate and asking me to confirm my permission to connect the call.  It's not a scam, someone in jail just dialed your number.  Now it is possible the person making the call dialed your number in error, but they're paying for the phone cards with their own commissary money, so unless they have no friends, they aren't likely dialing the wrong number on purpose.  This is not a collect call, and you actually have to jump through a bunch of hoops to put money on an inmates commissary for them to purchase more time on their cards.  Honestly I'd rather answer the call and see if someone I know needs my help, or someone I don't know needs to know they're calling the wrong number.

i live in butler county ohio and got a call from this number. the voicemail left a recording asking me to press a number to accept a collect call. thanks for the previous comm to give me a heads up NOT to answer if they call back.

ask if i concent to call being recorded and if i accept charges

I have been getting calls from this # and left on my voice mail for the past 2 days. It shows it come from the Las Vegas area. I do not know nor have I ever known anyone from Nevada. We live in Indiana and I am tired of these calls. There should be somewhere we can register our Ph# to be put on a do not call list without putting our name and personal information out there. I will not put information out there for some crook or inmate to use.

Received call with a recorded message. Asking I were a client or an attorney to press one , from collect . Then press 2 to reject the call. Then press 3 for some other reason. Crazy people.

Got a call from this number and didn't answer. The voicemail starts in the middle of the message telling me that I can not three way record the call and then gives me the three options others have mentioned. How can I stop these calls before they get out  of control?

My voicemail took this call this afternoon.  Automated voice.  Voicemail did not get the beginning or end of the message.  Began with something about the call being recorded, press 1 to accept a collect call, press 2 to refuse...  Various posts claim this call comes from a jail or prison.  Don't know anyone in jail.  Creepy.  

So I got a call from this number. I knew the person calling but I hung up. Before accepting the call. I said if it's important they'll call again. They did a few days later, I accepted the call, but when I did it was an unrecognized person. The guy was like oh you sound find what's your name what you look like then another guy was like we all want to holla at you. I replied " no sir, I don't like jail birds" and hung up. Smh never again

I have had 9 calls from this number in 4 hours, I looked on the sherriff website to see if I reconized any inmates but that wasnt the case, but sometimes if the person just was booked, their information hasnt posted, so you may want to call the sherriffs office if you suspect someone you know may be in jail. Usually the inmate will say their name though. But I do know from experience that this is a clermont county and butler county jail number the reason for the out of state number is for security purposes, most of the time inmates try to guess there family and friends numbers to try to get money for phone cards and commissary, and just guess the wrong number while in booking, and sometimes there are inmates that just call random numbers to get anyone to answer. But THIS IS A CLERMONT COUNTY JAIL NUMBER, My suggestion is to look on the sherriff website and see if there is a inmate you may know first, before accepting the call, this is NOT A SCAM, have no worries.

It is a caller from jail.  The inmate has a prepaid calling account set up, usually paid for by a family member, to make calls from jail.  You can accept or reject the call.  The inmate states his first name at the beginning of the message.  Hope this helps.

this call is like someone is in prison trying to make a collect call.  It asks me to push one to accept or push two to decline.

Something is really wrong with this number. It says it is an inmate trying to call collect but the inmate does not give their name they say, "love you jenny." No Jenny here. The number says it is a prepaid calling card company. If the call is prepaid, why are they calling collect. I have received calls from inmates before and detailed information is given before you accept including price, which is NOT the case here. Nothing about this call adds up. Do not answer this call. I have tried to reject the call using #2 but this only results in more of calls within minutes of each other. Has to be a scam, Again do not answer or respond in any way.

This number is for a company called CPC. They sell prepaid phone cards for inmates. I found their website where you can apparently ask that they not call you anymore. we'll see.

I got a phone call from this number early today. I didn't answer my phone because I didn't recognize the number.. The message said it was from the Butler County Jail of Ohio.. it said that my message was going to be recorded.. They gave me three choices to dial. Number 1 was if I wanted it to be a collect call.. The second option was if i wanted to reject this call dial 2. The last one was if I wanted some information about the call to dial 3. I have only gotten the call once so far, but it's kind of creepy.

This has happened to one of my friends family before. These people will call, tell you that someone is in jail that you know (friends or family) and ask for money for bail. If you get one of these calls just let it go to voice mail!

Also, if it was from a jail from Ohio why would it have a Nevada area code!

Just got a call from this number.  Collect from the local jail.  could not understand the name.

I keep getting calls from this number. It is a Hispanic male inmate from the county jail. I don't know who he is and it makes me a bit uncomfortable.
