The carpet cleaning scammers are back!  These are devil worshipping, low life animals robo-calling on a tie-line, using a phony computer-generated number.  I think their main intention is to get into your house so they can assess if there is anything worth stealing.  They also peddle other schemes, as part of an ever-changing menu of frauds and scams.  A pox on them.  In the recent past, they have also used other numbers, which come out as non-working or out of service as well, due to not being issued by a legitimate, licensed common carrier (i.e., a real FCC-licensed telephone company).  More calls grouped into the totality of nuisance, fraud, scam calls.  It is assumed that all improperly or incompletely identified numbers are from the increasing number of scams, frauds, tie-lines, etc. This is why everyone must contact their elected reps in DC to demand that they significantly strengthen the DNC laws, providing extremely severe dollar and prison sentences for violators, and give more strength to the FTC.  This is an opportunity for Congress to actually do something useful for the country, not just pass gas and throw spitballs at each other.  Any business must be properly identified with their legal name on Caller Id, not hide behind Not Available, Private, Unavailable, etc.  It is time to ban any kind of solicitation call, whether telemarketer, charitable, political, survey, opinion poll or whatever, plus outlaw any use of tie lines, robo-callers or use of numbers not issued by a legitimate, FCC licensed common carrier (telephone company).  You can be assured that funds donated or authorized over the phone will mostly go into the pockets of the organizers, not to the charity or political campaign, or intended purpose, along with a $10 donation showing up as $100s in charges.  Never give a credit card number or any personal data to anyone over the phone. There must be a new scam and fraud being generated every second out there.  We need call control, not gun control!

A bunch of Middle East scum ball thieves, after sending a 160 dB noise tone through the ear of the caller, I sent the number to Homeland Security. Knock knock!

I just got a call from these bozos as soon as my answering machine beeped the message stopped . . . I was unable to hear the details of the message over my outgoing message when I screened it but I did clearly hear the words carpet cleaning.

This was a carpet cleaning company which has spam called me before.

Received call at 8:30am. I don't know anyone that lives in Virginia so I didn't pick up. From the previous comments made here, I'm glad I didn't.

Received a message regarding carpet cleaning.  The message said, as a past customer, we wanted to know if you needed our service again. We have never used a carpet cleaning service.  They gave an option to have me removed from their contact list.  After speaking with the FTC, I understand this is the wrong thing to do.  It only confirms for the caller that they have an active telephone number.  I'm sure it's some sort of scam.

Called today.  Name not available.  No message. I don't answer calls where the caller is not identified and/or I am not familiar with the number.  And as this caller has called several times and left no message the number is now blocked, especially given the comments from other posts.

I didn't answer ~ registered the # on the https://www.donotcall.gov/  LIST!

Yep, it's some sort of carpet-cleaning company, or so they say.  Long message left about how I'd done business with them before.  Not only have I never done business with them before, but I don't even have carpeting here.  Any pitch that begins with a lie can't be trusted.

They keep calling my federal government cell phone. The number is not published or posted anywhere online. Not sure where they got the number. Asked to remove in the past but they have failed to comply.

I've received calls from this phone number several times! The last time they called I asked them to remove me from their calling list, they said they were, they didn't!  The funny thing about this situation is that whenever these people call me, I fell I'm being gang stalked. This are government, private companies, even police and other agencies following people like myself to make the lives of individuals miserable.

I received a call from this number on my cell phone this morning. At the time I was on my landline waiting in vain to speak with someone from my new health insurance carrier. I refused the cell call. Judging from the comments, it was a good decision.
