They called again 12/11/07 at 12:33pm. This time it was Linda from Bay Bank, with the same line about reducing my mortgage interest rate, blah blah blah. The call went pretty much as it did before. I tell them they are a scam and they have no arguement for that. I also did some research on the fact that when you call the number back you get a recording that the number has been "disconnected". I know that the number is not really disconnected because they keep calling from it, I just want to know how they are doing it, perhaps forwarding the calls to a disconnected number. Anyhow this is what I found out, a person can buy a device that can connect to their phone jack. It does not do anything to their outgoing calls but their incoming calls get the "disconnected" message. Also they are not even aware that they are receiving a call, which I assume is fine for a business like this. I also found that if a person buys this device they have to use it within the guide lines of the FCC.

Calls recieved on 11/27 and 11/28/07. One showed as unknown name, the other showed as Virginia.
Obviously this number isnt actually disconnected as the "recordings" have stated to others.

They have called me 4 times, they say they are from Bay Bank and the last guy said his name was Jason White, they have all spoke in a heavy acsent. They say that my name was picked to reduce my mortgage interest rate and then ask what time the next day (morning, afternoon, or evening) would be best for the specialist to call for a no obligation appointment. I have told them repeatedly to stop calling and that I was not going to give them any personal info, I have also told them that I thought that they where a scam, and when I try to call the number back it is disconnected. They have no response except are you sure it was our company. I am sure, it is on my flipping caller ID. I beleive they are a scam, do not give out personal info. If anyone has further information how to stop the calls or how they can be calling from a disconnected number please respond.

She called and we answered. She has been calling before but we never picked it up. Waiting for her to call again.
