Prank Call
I got the same message from Robbie (?) Miller on April 1st.  Same script.  Same heavy accent. Threats of legal action against me.  Between the heavy accent and the strong message ending with "Have a blessed day" I told my husband it had to be a fake.  It doesn't make me happy to know I'm not the only one who got an annoying call.  It makes me angry that any of us have had to spend ANY time on this.  Don't people have better things to do with their time?  Grow up, people!

Thanks to all of you for taking the time to post your experiences.

I recieved a call from this company saying -well I'm not sure what they said. The caller had an accent so thick that the message was very unclear. Something about my name and SS# being out there. And if I didn't call them back-well good luck to me. Was from a call center judging by the background noise.

There were messages on my answering machine back-to-back, within a minute from each one on April 2nd from a heavy accented man calling himself Robin Miller (he sounded East-Indian) and said that he was calling from Snyder's Law Firm and mentioned my ex-husband's name who has not lived in the home for about 14 years and mentioned that his name and SS# was being investigated and this was a serious matter and he needs to call or have his attorney call back, if not, he would face legal consequences and at the end, he says "Have a Blessed Day".  Definitely did not sound like a legitimate call!  I wish I was home and had answered the call, so I could have given him a piece of my mind....these people are so irritating because they try to take advantage of people who don't know any better and would willingly give them any information they request, only to have their identity or life savings taken away.

One more thing...I am sure the phone callers were NOT from Snyders Law Firm, but that is the name they used.

Prank Call
April 2, 2014: Received 2 back to back phone calls, within a minute of each, from 703-544-9211. I did not answer the first call, no msg. left, but they called right back.
Call was from Jack Hoffman, heavy accent, couldn?t make out the company.

He left msg., said this was serious business; there is a legal file against my name and SS#. At that point I figured I?d pick up the phone and tell him where to go. I immediately asked what company he was representing, he asked if I was (and used my real first and last name), I agreed, then asked who he is representing, again, he told me this was serious business, and asked for my account number, (hmmm, what acct number?), anyway, I told him he would get no acct. number from me and that I would be reporting his phone number?I then hung up.

I waited 5 minutes, and called the phone#, to see what, if any, info I could gather, a young lady, easy to understand, answered. I asked the name of the company she worked for; she told me it was Snyder?s Law Firm. I told her about Jack Hoffman?s call, and let her know I would be reporting them. She knew my name, told me this was serious business and that I would need a lawyer, said I was in violation of: Federal Tax Regulation, an Internal Revenue Code ? Section 6331.1. Said they tried to contact me in Dec 2013 but I wouldn?t take the call and that today?s call was my last chance. I kept pressing for more info, she then said according to auditors of the last 10 years there was a problem with Earned Income Credit. Ya right, I?ve never  filed for EIC, I told her that. She asked who pays me, where does my paycheck come from, I told her I am retired, file jointly with husband, who is retired as well. As soon as she heard that she asked if I could be placed on hold?I agreed and she never came back. BTW, just because, 5 minutes later I called the 703 phone# give them !@!@#$%^ but I could no longer get through.

ATTENTION: 5 HOURS LATER ? Called 1-703-544-2011, just because. TADA, this same phone number is owned by Fairfax Animal Hospital in VA. The recording directed me to call: 703-752-9100, I talked to a receptionist there, informed her of ?their phone number? being used (somehow). Sounds like the ph# is being intercepted they have not been informed of this until now.

I received a call from the same number (703-544-2011) on April 1, 2014 and a second one on April 2, 2014.  A female Sophia Spinaza (?) with a difficult accent claiming that a case had been filed against me.  My lawyer or I needs to call them immediately before they take legal action against me.  If we fail to return the call, she "can not be the one responsible for anything happens".  Both times the background noise was that of a typical call center.

This is as much of the message as I could understand. It sounded like it was coming from a call center, and the caller had an accent that sounded West Indian to me:

The hotline to my division is 703-544-2011. I'll repeat 703-544-2011. Now if you don't call me back you might be have to face a legal consequences. Thank you and have a bless day.
