i just recieved a text from this number

Received call from this number at 1415 hrs. PSD on 11-20-2012. Claimed he could get me lower auto insurance. I asked him if this was a cold call ? and he said "Yes" . I told him I was on the do not call list. He stated he did not know that I was on the list. I told him never call again and hung up on him without waiting for a response. Will turn this number in to the FEDS.

just received another call from them today!   I put them on my blocked numbers, as well as called them  back dirrectly and listed my telephone number with them to not call again according to their pre-recording.  Hope this will  eventually get rid of these nuisance callers.

Been getting hangup calls constantly for the past few days...*69 says it's from 703 574 4450.

These calls are generated by Republican think tanks and disguised as Democrat nuisance calls.

We have received multiple calls per week for more than a year from 703-574-4450.  Reverse phone look up reports a business in Sterling Virginia.  Frequently have more than one per day. Never leaves a message.  When answered (we have done that twice in the past year, the second time by accident) we simply hear some one breathing who does not answer our words.  Last Saturday had 6.  Have had at least 13 in the last 6 days.  Have had this number blocked on our phone for at least three months (rings once, caller ID is recognized by our phone and phone hangs up automatically).   Call volume has increased significantly since then. Others have identified the true source as Meyer Teleservices at 1-800-676-9233.  We called that number and asked that our name be placed on its do-not-call list.  I suspect my request will be honored. Apparently the company's business plan is to make as many calls as fast as possible - blocking your number simply makes it faster for the operator to make a technically complete call (it was answered, since there was a hang-up, rather than busy, so the operator does not have to wait or hang up himself).  If the phone is answered, the operator stays silent so the person called will hang up quicker.   I suspect that this company's business plan is to market its services, at a very low rate per call, to relatively unsophisticated political and non-profit organizations who do not realize that they are being taken for a ride. If the calls are for political and non-profit campaigns, the company is not subject to the heavy financial penalties for ignoring the do-not-call list.  Some writers think that this is a political fund-raiser, since there have been a few political pitches; I suspect that those operators were true political enthusiasts who chose to ignore the Meyer Co. policy, not realizing that saying anything that identified the sponsor to the person answering would subject the call's sponsor (the charity or politician) to complaints that would lead them to cut off funding to Meyer.  Because our phone volume does not change when elections are over, I do not believe that this is limited to political campaigns.  Using a local phone number under a different name makes their true identity harder to trace.  By promptly honoring our direct requests to be removed from their list, they are not in direct violation of the do-not-call law, which demands that even non-commercial callers must maintain and honor such a list..  This is fraud committed against its sponsors.  I wonder if RICO applies.  In any case, I think the do-not-call list law needs to be changed to forbid any systematic attempt to hide the identity of the caller by hiding the name on the caller id and then not answering with a true identity when the person answering asks "who is this?"  I will give them 48 hours from 11AM on Jan 18, 2010. Then I hope they call me again. I will nail them with a violation of the law.

i keep getting calls from this number.

Today alone starting at 8:30am we have received 5 calls - this is ridiculous.  We have new phones where I can set a call for call block and they have called 3 times this afternoon alone, but it only rings once and they are supposed to receive a busy signal - thank goodness for that.

At least twice a day or more.  I have used the "do not call" option at the Meyer website but they insisted on getting an email address -- what, so they can hassle me via email?  Ha!

It's a call from the Democratic party of Virginia...they're calling to solicit $$ for Senator Bambi among others.

Multiple calls per day for several weeks now from 703-574-4450.  Always hangs up. In Google as Meyers Associates.

We've also received multiple calls from this number - Meyer and Associates - who call "on behalf" of political and n/p organizations.  We hate these calls and if anything because they are so frequent they ensure our voting for the opposition or striking this charity from our list.

Maybe talking to 7 on your side or some local tv network could solve this. There must be some law/legislation that can stop the constant calls so many times a day.

Got a call from an Obama supporter wanting to know if I got my ballot in the mail.  I played along and told him that I did not.  He then proceeded to give the number to the Hillsboro County supervisor and told me to call them if I do not receive my ballot in the next few days.  He also gave me the contact number for the Obama get out the vote organization 1-877-FLOBAMA.

This is all very odd because I reside in VIRGINIA!!

I will be reporting the suspicious case to the local election authorities.

We have received this number on our   line for several days, each time no message.  We have notified "callmeyer.com"  and used the "contactus"  with  "DO NOT CALL"  in the space they provide.  We will notify "whocallsme" if the calls cease.  --

I get these calls also.  Never anyone on the other end when I pick up.  So I called it back using an anonymous VoIP connection and it is a consultant for political candidates.

Annoying caller, no info on caller i.d., just this #.  Sometimes call 2 or 3 times a day.  Don't know who it is.  Tired of this!!!

If that is their plan answering the phone and leaving it off the hook on your end will cost them money.  do that three or four times for a few minutes with a radio or tv on in the background should do the trick.

I got a call from this number, but there was no one on the line.  I found this Web site, and someone had a link to be removed from the mailing list, so I went to the link.  I didn't see anything about removal, so I sent an e-mail to the address they had listed for their Webmaster, but it bounced.  Please get me removed from the list.  Thanks.
