Is it legit to reach out to cell phones, unsolicited, when we're not current or past members and our numbers are on the NDC list?

I would guess not, but please clarify.

I'm a member of the NRA, too.  But I started getting renewal notices just 3 months after I signed on.  Now I keep getting these calls, too.  Guess what, NO FRICKEN RENEWAL FROM ME!

Can't wait for the new DNC law to take affect where companies as yours must get a SIGNED RELEASE by the customer to call them.  Will the NRA follow that law like the one you tout about not leaving messages?

This number calls Almost every day befor 9:00 AM,     I am retired and I dont get up befor 9:00 AM.
My phone will Never be Answered befor 9:00 AM. If they leave a message I will return their call.  
I subscribed to NRA on the Internet.   I will NEVER NEVER NEVER conduct any business on the Internet again.  since I subscribed to NRA,  My phone has not stopped ringing for more than  
2 hours. I am changing my number and Never again will I give out personal info on the internet. I have 77 numbers on my block list and I add new ones almost every day.  Don't these companies realize the more people they p****off, the less business they will get? Are the people these companies hire idiots? Are the people that own these companies Idiots.

I WISH these people would stop calling.  If they want to take the time to call, why the HECK can't they AT LEAST HAVE THE COURTESY of leaving a message?  Who has time for this crap?

i work for a NRA calling center:

1. we aren't allowed to leave messages it's a FFC rule. So don't bi*** about us not leaving message we aren't allowed. Some of us would love to be we aren't allowed.

2. both me and my dad are life time members and we still get membership renew papers.

3. at the most one call center can call you from 1-3 times a day. Now if you get more than 3 calls from us there can many reasons from the agent didn't mark the call right, they set a call back for you  cause you said you would be home, or you was rude to us and we called you back just to piss you off again.

so next time your on a call with someone from the NRA be nice they are people just like you. we call all over america and we have to deal with a***oles, old people who can't hear, people who don't speak english. be nice to us and we will be nice to you.

The call just came here for the first time but I didn't answer it.  They can't leave a message since my machine is set to announce only where it plays the SIT and then says the number cannot be completed as dialed.  So far this is working to cut down on repeat calls, and it seems not as many new calls, too.  

Thanks for the posts of those that do answer or have additional information about the idiots on the other side of the line!

They call me 3 to 5 times a day and never leave a message.

Not the NRA! is some sort of Credit Card offer for low interest.  Calling me at home and my Wife's cell.  If we don't answer they leave a message if we answer they hang up probably because we are on a no call list.

Between NRA and ASPCA I've starting to think I will never donate again.  It sounds mean and uncaring but my phone is for my personal use.  I belong to both organizations but I think that may stop.

Calls anywhere from 1-3 times a day. Never leaves a message. Stop calling me!

With the money they spend on mailers, wanting me to renew right after I sign up and all the phone calls I cannot believe the waste!

Why does this number keep calling me from 703-596-0833?

Calls no less than 4 times a day for the last 3 weeks.  Leave a message and then lose my number!

They just wanted me to renew..I was planning on doing it anyways...

This is a telamarkater using The name of NRA hang up don't give them anything.

This number keeps calling my home, no-one leaves a message and this time I answered the phone, but no-one spoke back....I just want them to STOP calling me.

keeps calling never leaves message.  i have no idea who this is.

they called 3 times today august 20th

I have had it with the NRA.  Although I support most of their casues, their unrelenting appeals for donations have gone too far.  NRA, call someone else.  My membership is in the balance.

The never leave a message, but they call and call and call.

I receive calls from this number at least 3 times a day EVERY DAY!! I never pick up since I don';t know who they are.

Received a call at 6:46 PM, 6-16-11 from this number, left no message.  Before this call received a call at 5:24 PM, 6-16-11 from 704-869-1800 also left no message.  Area codes 703 and 704 within general area of each other, have no idea who these persons are.

Everyone is hurting for money. Do not give here! Give to Gun Owners of America!
