I recieved several calls from this number. I do not answer calls from unknone numbers, so did not cause me any problem.

This is AACC, a collection agency.  They are spoofing the caller ID.  This is not the NRA nor is it the ID Fraternal Order of Police.  These are two names they use to try and get you to answer instead of blocking their calls.

This number calls AT LEAST 3 - 5 times a day !!!
It comes up on the phone as National Rifle Association. We do not answer it.

I called the number, got a recording that it was the NAtional Strategic Fundraising and it did give me the option to have my number taken off the list. I did....let's wait and see.

Same thing. If they really want my stuff I suppose they know enough to just come get it . . or have enough guns? Heard Canada is nice this time of year . .

yeah its a fundraising company, i think its for the NRA.

I've been getting several calls a day from this number.  My message on the ans machine specifically states my number is on the no-call list, but these idiots keep calling.  At this point, if the caller was selling the only oxygen on the planet, I wouldn't buy it.

I have received multiple calls a day from this number over the past week. Every time I answer they are never there. I finally called them back and got a machine for a Strategic Fund Raising company.

I'm sick of getting this call several times a day from 703-656-9865 n.r.a. wish we could all call them and say nothing for several days or months in a row stop them or put on notice with FCC

We have received at least 2 calls a day for the past 6 days from this number.

I have received phone calls from several phone #s in VA.  If those are NRA, I am not a member, not made any contributions to them.  I like the 2nd Amendment also but please leave me alone.  What really gets me is, if my answering machine picks up just before they hang up on the other end, I get the dial tone and the recording telling me to "hang up the phone" on my answering machine until my machine runs out of space.

Just inform the NRA that you hate the killing of animals w/guns.
Guns are for killing people, defending yourself against the govt.
They will still give you the cheap rate.
(And that its true doesnt hurt, lol)

Got a call last night at 8:30pm and a man asked for my son, who hasn't lived at home in more than 15 years.

Im with you there  on the gun issue. I have never knew a gun to get up and kill something then go back in its safe holding place.

I get calls often that stop ringing before my answering machine picks up.  I suspect many are from FAKE caller IDs.  Before I got caller ID, I received MANY calls for an Alvin Johnson.  I was the lucky one that got Alvin's old number more than TWO years ago.  I always told them that I did not know Alvin or where he was.  I told them to stop calling me.  They keep calling anyway.
If the answering machine does pick up, all I hear are "boiler room" sounds.
Did I mention that they may be using FAKED caller IDs?  The numbers do not ever seem to go to a legitimate business when using Google to search.

as a gun collector, this is such a interesting way to learn history, i buy a rifle, pistol, artafact's and learn the history about what was happening around that gun, country, people, etc
you have a greater chance of dieing just walking to the store than getting shot in the United States of America.
but as for the caller they refuse to leave a message. i refuse to answer the call. i am not a member of the nra cause of tactics like this. my phone is for MY needs not some for profit company. this is a great reason to avoid them.

Calling several times a day, I don't answer and they don't leave a message. Going on for weeks now...I'm going to attempt to call them and tell them to eff off.

We have gotten calls from this number 10 times since 7:24pm on May 20th. This is insane!!! I even have a message that states "If you have gotten this far on the call you will need to leave a message because we don't answer calls from numbers we don't recognize."  Still they don't leave a message or stop!

I get 4 to 6 calls from this number a day.  National Rifle Association.  When I do answer it there is no one there, I wait until it sounds like the line has cleared.  VERY annoying.

I am assuming the Do Not Call Registry does NOT pertain to the NRA. They called several times and finally my husband told them he was not interested and hung up. Thus far, no calls back. I personally believe some one was trying to get a credit card number since they were wanting money to "support having guns" and it being our American right to do such. Blah, blah, blah.

If you call this # back they will give you an option to be placed on their do not call list. It appears to be a non profit fund raising company.

I have been getting calls from (703) 656-9865 day after day after day now.  No name shows up on caller ID and cannot locate name for this number on my MSN Reverse Directory Search.  If it is the NRA and they read this post, I hope they quit calling my cell phone all hours of the day and night.  And if they do call, the ONLY WAY I will answer my phone and talk to anybody is if they first leave me a voicemail message.  I do not return calls to people who do not even have the courtesy to leave a message when I pay good money for the service.  Besides that, I do not believe common citizens should own guns.  Only the police and military should own guns.  Common citizens are not mature enough, obviously, with all the killings in schools and murders everywhere to own guns.  I believe everyone should lose that right until such time as people get smart and become mature enough to use them ONLY for HUNTING PURPOSES and for NOTHING ELSE.  I could go on, but I will not.

I believe in the second ammendment and support it. But when you join the NRA they keep nagging for more money. I didn't give them my telephone number, it's unlisted and I'm on the on-call list. I've asked them not to call me, but they still do!  WTF???? I regret joining.

Called several times over the last several days w/o leaving a message. We no longer give to NRA. Gun Owners of America are far better advocates for our second amendment rights.

Getting hang up calls EVERY DAY from this #, Reported # to N.R.A. And it belongs to them.They are collecting $ and more members.

it's not the NRA - they are phishing for credit card numbers - identity thieves - arch criminal scammers.

I can't believe you could do this for us!  The good guys come in all shapes and sizes and you guys must have at least small halos! My business is to  help parents with parenting issues, coaching them over the phone. These guys buzz in and I don't know who it was. Makes me crazy!  You are on my list of favorites starting right now!
