I have been called on my cell, 12 times in the last two weeks. Each time they ask for a different person and none of the callers are native English speakers, most can barely communicate in English at all.

When I try to get more information about who they are and why they keep calling me, I get gibberish and they hang up.

This person has called my home number twice and said nothing both times. The first call was in the middle of the night, around 2am. It is completely ridiculous.

this women called just now and said i won a trip to anywhere in the usa and a 1000.00 grocery voucher.wow what a day i won something all free nothing to pay. all inclusive trip for 2 to anywhere in usa. nothing to pay and all of a sudden all we need from you is to pay the $3.95 P&H well you would think if they can afford to give away a trip to anywhere in the usa and a $1000.00 worth of groceries then you would think they can kick out another 3.95 for postage and handeling. i told her 3 times you not getting my credit card over the phone and 3 times she kept sdaying i dont need it just 3.95 and finally i told her loudly enough she hung up on me.

My parents' phone lists my number as this.  I am not sure why the error.

This number calls my desk number at work several times a day.  If I pick up nobody is there until I say hello several times.  It was an asian man and I couldn't understand what he was saying because of his accent, I asked them to stop calling me at work but they still call.

This company called us on 3/3/09 to sell a Dish Network promotional package.  We ignored it the first time because it said unknown number.  The second time it had the 704-208-5410 number, reported as Charlotte, NC so we answered.  Apparently they got our info via the phone number requested to see if their service is available in your area on their website, www.dishpronto.com.  I told him to email me the offer so I can think about it.  He tried to get my credit card information over the phone to secure the TV package which "was only available through tomorrow".  He said he'll call back in 30 minutes.  I told him not to - I would call if I was interested.  The email he sent did not have a phone number, and the name at the bottom of the email was not his.  He called again the same night 4 times in a row until we answered.  We told him not to call us back; if we were interested after taking time to digest the offer, we would call.  On 3/4/09 he called at 5pm and left a message that he would call again.  He called at 6pm and did not leave a message.  He called again at 8:15pm, so we answered.  We told him not to call back, but he insisted on trying to figure out when he could call to sign us up.  We said we are definitely not interested because of the harrassing phone calls and the fact that their website and Dish commercials advertise a much better deal than he was trying to offer over the phone.  The man (who had a thick foreign accent) stated that the calls were continuous and random because of their automatic dialing machine that dials until we pick up.  All of the calls either stated unknown name/number or this Charlotte number on the phone.  The TV caller ID would rotate between the two as if it was trying to retreive a number being blocked. We called the phone company, and they told us to call the police.  The police said they don't handle telemarketers.  He went ahead and called the reported number anyway, and it reports as an invalid phone number.  The DishPronto.com website says their number is 1-800-315-0788.  Apparently they are a New York company.

I have been several calls from this number at my home phone and no one speaks.When i call back it says unable to complete.I called 311 and filed a police claim. Let's see what happens

Hi,i've read your message about this number and I'm getting it to. I don't think its really a charlotte number. I think this maybe a scam from over seas international. How they get peoples numbers is beyond me. If it keeps happening i'm going to the police dept.

10 times a day now two weeks. Never anyone on the other end, and always busy when trying to call the number back.

This is the most annoying s*** we've ever had happen. We're trying to run a business and this damn number will call up to 10 times a day for the past two weeks. Never anyone on the other end and busy when we try to call it back. They best hope I never find out where the hell they are in Charlotte. That's only 40 minutes up the road to kick someones a**.

The caller left a message and just kept saying: "hello, hello, hello" then hung up.  Sounded like an oriental voice.  I know because we have an international student, so I thought that it may have something to do with him.  I tried to call the number and it just rang & rang with no answer or machine.
When I did a reverse phone look up on this number the information given was:

this number left a pre-recorded message on my answering machine trying to get me to file for a free government grant - they will give me all the details & do the paperwork for me & i can have thousands of dollars for free...

I have been called over 20 time a day for 4 days by this number.  If I pick up it is completely silent and no hang up no matter how long I stay on the line.  I stopped picking up but not it just leaves dozens of 5 second silent messages in my voice mail.

I jus got a call from this phone, and tried to call it back and no one answers. wut is it?

The line was "temporary busy".  Who knows.

This guy did not say anything at first after I said, "Hello ... hello ... hello." Then he told me that he was trying to call Africa. I told him that he was calling a number in South Carolina (United States).

This number calls my phone a bit and never leaves a message. I too have tried the number back and no one answers! What's the point of calling when they don't even say anything! It's quite annoying!

Caller stated a name but I couldn't understand it.  He left a message to call back on another number.  A 704 area code number that shows up as Intl. Number sound a bit fishy to me.  If caller can't state reason for calling I'm sure not going to call back.

Looking for my wife; the caller said she was from Bank of America. Told her to call back on "sunday" and she said ok.  When I hung up I decided to call back and found no one answered the telephone.  SCAM?!
