I received 3 calls from 704-325-9110.  The first one was at 10:20 at night mountain time when I was in bed, did not answer, the second one was 9:15pm the next night and again did not answer.  On the third night they called at 8:20.  A guy with an Indian accent gave the story about him being from windows and needed to talk to us about our computer.  I said to him I did not believe him because this number had called me after hours they should be allowed to call and I would not talk to anyone that would call a house at 10:20 at night to tell them about a "problem" with their computer.  We will see if he calls back

I have been receiving calls from a phone number in Newton, NC, The man said he was from an MSN tech support and said he needs to help us with our computer or my computer could crash any minute. He was so rude and keep interrupting me. I tried to explain to him that he was mistaken, and asked for his name. He told me that he worked for Windows. I'm like aha got you!
I hung on him and blocked the number and now these idiots are calling me from an out-of-area number and burning up my voicemail with this crap!

This guy Martin David calls me every night about 6:45. Same message as all of you got.....have to shut off my internet service after I let him into my computer to help me get rid of all the virus, etc that was going to crash my computer. I laughed at him and said there is no way I am going to disconnect my internet and let him into my computer.  Telephone #704-325-9111. Had him give me number to call him back and verify who he was. Of course message on call back number said push certain button for Martin David. He called back tonight and I told him not to call me anymore and he tried talking over me telling me how important it was to let him help me. He would not shut up so I screamed in his ear and hung up. He called right back and had same message for me.....crucial to let him help me. Isn't there someway to hire a hitman to get rid of these people! Leave me alone!!!

I do not see why this number is still in service if it is a hacker calling for your information. Why doesn't the phone company cut them off?

:)  Love this story!  I had a guy Kevin calling about doing every service in the world, carpet cleaning, smoke damage, floor refinish, you name it he did it...so I called one day and a woman answered and I said I just opened a new business and would like to know how they robo call people bc I thought it would be great for my business, and the ditz said you really shouldn't bc it is illegal.  So I gave her a piece of my mind on why was she knowingly doing domething illegal.  Then the next time I called back and said I was looking to have my hardwood floors redone and I gave them the phone number to my state's attorney general who told me there was no way to catch this guy (who they had hundreds of calls on- which was not true bc there were reports of this guy going out to people's houses etc- turns out he is an ex con- and rips people off  Strangely enough that was the last time I ever heard from Kevin.  I guess the Attorney General's office could do something after he annoyed them as much as he annoyed me!

called saying their central server was sending many messages from my computer that showed many problems.   Said he was Nick Jones (with a heavy Indian accent) from NC.  Asked me to run the events list and see how many warning signs and red x's.  I asked who he was and from what entity.  I had to go, and he said he would call back in 30 min.  Did not call back.

Black from the Windows Operating Department called.

I said 'really' and he hung up.

Interesting since we're a Mac household and on the Do Not Call list.

All the same info as the above messages. I know a lot of elderly people who would probably end up giving him their credit card numbers to save them from the malicious virus that their system allegedly reported! Hope someone can stop them.

Got this call this evening and the guy must think I am an idiot because he told me that my computer was having errors and that I ended to throw it in the trash. He told me it had a nuclear bomb in it and it was going to go off soon. Seriously?!? I guess because I told him he was looking for my dad, he thought I was young and dumb! I Regularly screen their calls when over for dinner with my kids, I am 36 not 12!

Received 4 calls 2 on 1-30 & 2 on 31 -2014.  Wasn't connected to internet last 4 days (by choice) so I played along.  They spoke with heavy India accents (1 handed me off to "supervisor") - They said they were from Mircosoft Security and that for the last three days (see my note above) my computer has been sending a bunch error messages to the central servers at Microsoft.  Knowing this to be false (being off line), and because I know... Microsoft doesn't do cold calls of this type - return calls yes - but they do not call -you- 1st.  As noted, I played along for a while.  They had me open the command line and do a few look up items, and then filter/review the error and warnings and wanted count results.  The fun part came when they said "Jesus Christ that total shouldn't be more than 4 or 5"  and "As you can see with your own naked eye that you have a problem"  blah blah  from the command line go to website and let us help you fix problem.  DON"T DO IT!!  - per the MS website this is typical scam tactic.  Translation -  you just gave away control of you computer to someone that is not interested in protecting you.

704-325-9111 called on my land line about 8:10 PM local time.  Guy said he was with "Windows Support" (heavy Indian or P*** accent).  I called him a liar!  I asked if he was a Microsoft employee (3 times) he finally said yes.  I asked where he was calling from (3 or 4 times) and he finally said Carolina.  I said North or South?  He said North.

I told him there was nothing wrong with my PC, and besides, there is no way he could tell if there was something wrong with it or not.  I then called him a scam artist and a thief and he hung up!  I just filed an FCC complaint at

He said he was calling from windows and that there was a big problem with my computer.  I told him the big problem was I was going to call the police if he called me again and I hung up. Does anybody really fall for this old scam any more?

The satellite at Windows has detected a problem with my computer, blah, blah, blah.
Wasting his time was easy with, "Hold on, while I go turn on my computer."  He lasted a little over 4 minutes before hanging up.

Oh, they just called back.  "Hold on while I go get the other guy."

1:31PM ET Caller ID said it was from 704-325-9111 Newton, NC

Heavily accented (Indian subcontinent) male claiming his name was "Michael" calling about my computer. I started laughing at that - I'm a tech support director, so I figure this will be fun. My response to him: "Which one, I have three?"  <pause>  "Your Windows 7 computer."  Me: "What company are you with? Because I don't have one of those."

This guy with a heavy accent called a few months ago.  He said he was from some tech support, and that my computer was infected with viruses and malware.  I asked him how he knew that I even had a computer, and he hung up.  The same guy calls today, months later, with the same spiel.  I tell him I don't own a computer, but he stays on the line, so this time I hung up on him.

After some research, I found this out:  What they do is try to get you to visit a certain website and download a program, with the promise of getting rid of your virus or malware.  If you download and install this program at their direction, it allows them to take over your computer remotely.  Presumably they can then look for credit card information, bank accounts, passwords, and other sensitive information.  And worse still, they can delete data, programs, and system files that can render your PC inoperative.

Bottom line: This is an outright scam.  After all, how do they know whether you even own a computer or not?  Do not, ever, follow any instructions given out by these crooks.  They should be put in jail at best.  Try asking them for a callback phone number and tell them you will call them back on a different line to confirm that they are who they say they are.  Of course you won't get it, and they will hopefully hang up.

Same Story as others - Indian accent sounding like it was in a call center and I had a virus that was affecting my computer. I've been around computers for a while and run pretty tight AV software & firewall rules. I played him for a while and when he asked me to open a command prompt, I called his bluff. I should have played him some more to see what command he wanted me to run.

he had an Indian accent & told me that there has been some problem messages from my computer, i told him I had 4 computers on line here , he said it was coming from this IP address and from a windows computer at that point I interjected that reduced it to two computers as the others where Ubuntu, now he asked to be at the keyboard & screen and told me to find the Control key saying it was at the lower left hand corner, I said ok I know where it is as I'm a computer tech, then he hung up. My caller ID recorded it as "Newton NC 704-325-9111"

I got the same info, as all of you did, all from this phone number.  I yelled at him, after numerous calls from them, and told him to take me off their list, that they were nothing but scam artists, or I was going to contact our attorney general and file a complaint!  We'll see what happens, so far no more calls, but I'm not holding my breath.
