My sentiments exactly.  I know they are legitimate, and are working for United Healthcare helping me to get assistance from Medicare to remove my Part A premiums.

Got a call from this number 1-866-865-3851 several times and was told to call back and talk to a Alex. I never got a hold of Alex and he never returned my calls. I left several voice messages and told him two different numbers to call me back on.  I called back today and they said it was to late for my 90 year old mother and that the window had already closed for this insurance. I was very upset and told Noel that I had been calling back Alex and leaving voice mail messages on his phone and even sent a faxed letter and could prove it. Noel then said OK we can open the window again for your mother. He ask me all kinds of personal questions about my mother and then ask me how much her social security checks were? I then thought this was very strange and I began to ask him questions and he said it was Part B of United health care. Noel then said unless you have the amount of money amount that your mother is getting from social security I can't help you. If this is anything to do with AARP or United Health care they sure act very suspicious and I doubted this company 100%. How do you know who to believe and not believe anymore? I never heard anyone treat anyone like this company does!

Got a call from this number today. I am in the process of helping a sister qualify for different programs. The caller had a thick accent and did not pronounce my sister's last name properly which is not all that difficult.  I called the number that was left on my voice mail 866-865-3851 and was told to ask for "her" assistant Jasmine ext 4036. I called the number and my call was intercepted by someone who was offering a $100 Wal Mart Card and a $25 gift card to my favorite restaurant.  It did not matter to him whether it was for me or my sister. He did not say he was with AARP, Social Services Coordinators or United Health Care. I got a little concerned about his persistence and I started questioning what company he is with he said FUNVANTAG and was irritated at me for asking. He wanted me to give him my credit or debit card number so he could charge me $1.00 for shipping the cards to me. When I told him I wanted to decline and to please transfer me to the person I was calling for, he told me to call 800-555-1212.  I don't know who to believe. I  think Social Service Coordinators is legitimate, however, somehow this other company is getting the information somehow to call, and trying to profit on someone else's need for assistance.

My mother and I have received calls from this group for five years.  I spoke to a supervisor eventually and then they sent the required paperwork.  What I find interesting is if they are, in fact, with Secure Horizons, United Healthcare or AARP, why wouldn't they have most of this information already?  She has frequent claims and pays no premium already due to her low income.  We had to qualify for that long ago so why ask for more information.  And when no response is received, why do they keep calling....for years.  I'd like this to stop permanently.  Any ideas?

You are right!  They can help low income people.  They have already signed me up with a different plan from United Healthcare with no co-payments at the doctor's office, very low cost prescriptions ($2.60) and the opportunity to have my Part B cost paid for by the state instead of taking $104.95 out of my social security check each month!!!  That last part is taking several months to start but I did send them 3 months of bank statements, ss#, all the other information they needed.  It's legit!

I have received numerous calls from Social Services Coordinators.  Due to numerous scams, I have ignored them until now.  I found this site in an effort to verify that they are who they say they are.  However, I still find it questionable for such a large company to conduct such personal business over the phone without any other  prior notice to Medicare recipients who would be receiving these calls.  I will be phoning the company (AARP United Healthcare/Secure Horizons) today.  This site has been helpful.

These people are legitimate and really can help you save on your monthly United Healthcare/Secure Horizons Medicare supplemental payment and/or possibly reduce your Plan B payment to zero. I called AARP United Healthcare/Secure Horizons @ 1-800-950-9355 to verify their claim of representation and ability to help save on monthly premiums and sure enough the representative did in fact say the Social Service Coordinator program is associated with AARP United Healthcare/Secure Horizons and that they do what the say "help you save". So for all those who say this is a scam ......they are completely wrong in saying so. Unfortunately in my case my monthly SSDI payment was too high for me to qualify for their services/help.

1-866-865-3851 is a legitimate number that belongs to a legitimate company that goes by the name of Social Service Coordinators Inc. who do represent AARP United Healthcare/Secure Horizons. If you still don't believe then I suggest you call the number on the back of your insurance card and verify my claims for yourself. All it takes in one easy call.

Someone named Bridget called me and asked questions about how much money I had and did I have an annuity.  Her number is 866-565-3851 Ext 4041. When I called it back I was just on hold for a long time and I had to leave a message. A man also called me and said they would be sending me a letter in about 5 days.  They say they work for AARP and they are Social Services Coordinators. They said they would help me with benefits.  Sounds a little off to me. Do not give these people any information.

The "Secure Horizons" caller left a message, " This is Secure Horizons, Jeremy speaking at 866-865-3851 and I have an important message for you regarding your insurance. Please call back at this number, extension 4327." This is NOT Secure Horizon's number anywhere in the US>

These people are simply calling themselves social services. They are asking birth dates, and address. I checked them out through Secure Horizons and found out they are legitimate. If you are in an certain income limit and belong to AARP, Secure Horizions medical insurance, they will likely call you. They will simply tell you if you are able to get medicare supplements and other government benefits in addition to medicare.

These people are simply calling themselves social services. They are asking things like SS numbers, birth dates, etc. I have tried all day today trying to verify who they are. The State of Tennessee doesn't know who they are they come up as Social Services on caller ID. I would highly advise that no one give personal information to them until we find out who they are for certain.

My mother received a call from Social Service Coordinators, Inc. (SSC, Inc.). This organization contracts with AARP Medicare Complete/Secure Horizons to assist their clients in receiving all the government benefits to which they are entitled. My mother benefitted tremendously! Yes, you have to give them all sorts of personal information, but if you or your relative is struggling financially, it is worth every minute of your time. I have found that most government programs that provide assistance to low/fixed income people overwhelm them with paperwork and forms too difficult for most people to understand. If you're still in doubt, call or "Google" AARP Medicare Complete. They can explain it to you.

I thought it was quite ridiculous that a company would have you send copies of everything under the sun if they might assist you with your medicare payments.  The number to call if she had any questions was 866-865-3851 ext 4575 - Susana Rivera Outreach Coordinator for Social Services Coordinators, Inc.
