I received a call. I am going to contact the Mecklenburg County Tax Office to make them aware and then contact local news media. This is a scam.

Rec?d call on delinquent Meck County, NC taxes from 704-336-6610. Always busy when tried to call. We live in SC, Not NC and have nothing there for property, auto, etc.

My parents in Atlanta just got this phone call, thinking it had to do with me since I had lived in Charlotte previously. However, I know that I am not tax delinquent, and when we tried to call the number back it was always busy.

The caller said there was a tax delenquency and that I needed to ASAP. When I called, several times, their line was always busy. The Attorney General of North Carolina should be contacted. These people need to be stopped.
