Just want to know who this is calling me and why???

Called regarding fraud alert. They said that they were from honda.

Just received a call from this number, This guy is crazy, do not respond..... He is in North Carolina but sounds like a COP calling from New Jersey. He called me this morning a 8:15 AM...

It's Honda Finance, my friend just got a new car from Honda and used me as a reference.

I just got a new number two weeks ago and 704-442-3000 almost immediately. They ask for someone not known to me and refuse to believe that they are dialing the wrong number. Must be a bill collector calling for the previous owner of the number.

As a four-time Honda owner I find this shameful if true. It's no better than the old Capitol One trick of delaying the posting of on-time payments for the sole purpose of causing default. Maybe something in Uniform Commercial Code or a deceptive practice law in your state can help you. If you reside in a debtor-friendly state like California or Texas, you can start disputing this debt long before it's passed to outside collections.

Im posting this message to reveal what I believe is a tactic to make more money for Honda Finance at it's customers direct expense. I purchased a New Honda and paid all payments on time for 4 years like I do with all my credit accounts. However, with 12 payments left, Honda Finance held my check and did not submit it to the bank for payment (which I verified with my bank) and started charging me late fees and negatively affecting my credit. Customer service was no help and really lied to me saying they tried to send the payment to the bank. I don't believe my bank would lie to me because they have nothing to gain. If this has happened to you post it here. If a honda representative would like to explain, Please, entertain us!

Just got a call from them.  Never owned a Honda.

Weird.  I'll just chalk it up as a wrong number.

But we have never had a loan with them...I keep telling them the person they are looking for does not have this number--we have had it for 3 yrs.

They keep calling  our number either this number or it  comes frm an 866 number.  I am sure they are looking for the people that had my number 3 yrs ago.  We get collector calls for them all the time.  This is harrassment--how do we make it stop?

p.s...during the event with andre I asked to speak to a manager about five times, he repeatedly said NO!

andre is the most rude honda rep ever.  I have never been late on a payment in over 5 years, i got behind because of a heart attack, he said if i didn't make a payment today they are going to reposess my honda
how crude and rude is that....I like honda's I was even going to buy another one next year... but after this I may reconsider... It's Honda Financial Services...Three reasons they're calling you... YOU DID NOT PAY YOUR BILL! You shouldn't have dead beat friends... ask your friends and family if they used you as a reference. Otherwise, it's a wrong #.

This number just called my cell phone. The man was very rude. I asked him why they were calling me. I dont have a loan with Honda. He asked for my social. I told him there was no way in hell I was going to give it to him. Then he told me he couldnt help me if I wouldnt give him my information, so I hung up.

This company has repeatedly phoned me even though the person that they are looking for does not live at my home.  I even changed my answering message to make it very clear that she does not live at my home and the calls have continued for months.

Indeed is American Honda Finance's collcetion area but they asked me for my SSN when I called back.  I don't have anything with American Honda Finance.  When I asked to be put on their do not call list they said they can't do that.  Suggested that I answer my phone when they call.

They call me even when my payment isn't late.  Last month's payment was paid 10 days late and this month's isn't due until the 17th (today is the 12th).  They have my information on file, but have called my parents' house without ever trying to reach me.  They have also called some of my clients' houses and left messages on their home phone numbers.  I am an early childhood development specialist and I work in these people's homes, but it is contractual.  They are always cryptic and make it sound way worse than it ever is when they leave a message.  I'll never finance through Honda again.  I could understand their tactics if I was several months behind but as of now I have only been late three times in the 4 years I've been paying on this car and I am current.  

They have also lost my contact information after a move and I have had to talk to several people to get the calls and letters about needing my updated info to stop.

This is American Honda Finance. If you own a Honda and haven't made a payment in a while, you're going to get a call...

CALLED MY PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT AND ASKED FOR ONE OF OUR EMPLOYEES.  SAID HIS NAME WAS RYAN.  WHEN I ASKED WHAT COMPANY HE WAS WITH, HE HUNG UP.  DIALED *69, AND IT SHOWED THE NUMBER CALLING WAS 704-442-3000

None - didn't answer - left no message.

Collection agency. Would not say it's name.
