I just got this call today and someone by the name Valerie was trying to get me to verify my SS# and threaten to report me to the IRS. This is a scam of  some sort and these people need to be stopped. Do not respond to these people 704-753-7807.

They are calling my Mother's house for me. I haven't lived there since 1990 and when I tried to call and get information regarding the call it was some rude guy, Andrew Long, demanding that I provide him with personal information without identifying himself or his organization.  I hung up and will tell my mother to do the same as well as order him to stop calling her house.Caller ID: 704-753-7807

Some junk debt buyers will file 1099-c with the IRS for debts they bought for pennies but cannot legally collect. (usually too old,  discharged in bankruptcy, already paid)  They cannot validate the debt and have no right to collect it.

Threats like this are also illegal..

When their harrassing calls do not work and since they cannot sue you they file bogus 1099-c and the IRS comes after you.

the same people have called my number. a man told me that i had an overdue visa account and that they were gonna report me to the IRS. i have an idea that they found my location through the Loopt application on my phone. the loopt is a gps locator program that is running 24hrs on your phone. the people called my friends house phone which is a listed number which means that they knew my location. i have a uncle who is in the federal IT security who is tracking the where abouts of the people who are commiting this fraud. PEOPLE DELETE THE LOOPT APPLICATION OFF YOUR PHONE!!!!!!!!!

VERY RUDE PEOPLE MY NAME IS TIFFANIE AND WAS CALLING FOR MY HUSBAND LUPE WHEN HE CALLED THEY SAID NO I NEEDED TO CALL SO THEN I CALL AND TRY TO FIND OUT INFORMATION AND THEY ARGUED WITH ME THAT ITS NOT ME..........OH SO FRUSTRATING ME.

The person was calling for a female relative ... how they obtained or felt my mobile number was connected to her is beyond me.  Anyways, a rather nervous sounding guy left a message stating that he was from Dallas County and that she would need to call and make statement at 1-877-289-4690 ext. 400642.  I returned the call but to the 704-753-7807 number and it was for a Ms. Webb.  I left a detail message advising her not to call my mobile again and also when I speak with my relative I would advise her to file a report with the Dallas County DA's office to alert them that a representative of Richard Scott's office is portraying themselves as a member of law enforcement.

he said he is a police and tell me a bunch of "investigation #" .
and when i said he got the wrong number, he said he doesn't have time to play with me.
