I also received a call from a Skype number and the caller ID showed ups as 705-727-9951- never does any number come up when calls come from Skype.. always shows 00000000123 or something like that.
This number is a Barrie phone number, and I believe it is a Bell service.

I picked up this time and it was someone named Joseph asking me to speak to the homeowner and if I needed my ducts cleaned.  Told him no and he was polite and said goodbye.  Now I am afraid I will be on another telemarketing list!  AARRGGGHHHH!

i answered this number because i thought it was one of my kids friends but when i answered she said hello mr. "my last name" i too was told that my computer may have viruses. I told her that i don't own a computer and said good bye and hung up. that was 2 weeks ago. today i answered the same number, she said Hello Mr. "my last name" i said that she had the wrong number.... next time I'm gonna say i'm a computer technician (which i am) and my computers don't have any viruses.. i'll play with her for a bit though

+1 (705) 727-9951 called me and the foreign man asked me to go to a computer to learn about his window service.  When I told him that i was in a car he asked what kind of car and street ranting about BMW.  I could hear a bunch of other operators in the background.  I told him I was on the Do Not Call list and he still kept talking so I hung up.

I qwas able through another wbsite findout it is a spam telelmarketer called Victory Healthplan aka fishgate LCC, Pres. Marc sporn, Company not in Florida state business directo9ry as a legal business. Court cases from 1993 ammount to 66 , IRS leins, US Treasury, deray Ford/Lincoln /Mercury litigations . Address is listed as 945 Banyan Drive, Delray beach Florida. Fro mwhat i've been abkle to dig up this is a real scumbag you do not want to do business with!

Got a call today from this # on my cell and didn't know who it was. Just found out that a friend traveling out of the country called me & said I didn't answer...this was the only call that I received all day so it seems as though out of country calls to cell phones in our area are directed through this 727-9951 #. Since the caller called at the same time as when I a call from this #, its the only logical answer.

Nah... area code is 705 - that ain't Florida.  It's a Barrie, Ontario number.  705-727-9915.
Instead of complaining here, why not call the telephone company?  Only THEY can answer how you are getting called from an "out of service" phone number.

Street?"  They then hung up when I said it wasn't

Got a call today from this number. A guy with maybe an Indian accent offering me a Bell phone for free and unlimited service for $30 a month. He asked me what phone I wanted and that it would cost $35 administration fee. I told him I would be interested in a Blackberry and he offered me something different. I then got fed up and hung up

It's a skype dial-out #..  I just got a call from a friend of mine using skype, that # showed up in the CID!

Got a call from this number aroun 4:57pm today - was out they hung up on answering machine - dial tone. Did not Leave message

Have received 3 calls on my cell phone, a number I don't commonly give out, but missed it each time. Tried calling back and the number still isn't in service. How does a call come from an inactive exchange? Hmmm.

I got this call 3 times in one day, on the third time I answered, and the guy speaking wanted me to go on my computer and do something, he told me that someone had called from my household and said the windows program on our computer was malfunctioning I wasnt aware of anything like that happening to any of our computers so I told him the computers were not in the home at the moment and he said he'd call back. Anyone have a similar experience?

just received a call from this number and the person said his name was mike and that my computer was running slow,when i said it was working fine,he hung up.

I also got a call from 705-725-8710 and the lady told me to turn on my PC there were potential threats on it.  I asked where she was from and she said "Online PC support".  I said I had an anti-virus program on my computer that I was confident in.  She told me that wouldn't stop it and that I was not the only person getting this call, all PC users were.  I asked again where she was from and she started yelling at me saying that she already told me then told me my address (which was correct).  I told her to stop yelling at me and to not call me again and I hung up.

Gang, you have to listen (or read in this case! hehehe) what Uth said on September 26th of last year!!  For goodness sake, just stop answering the call.  He/She is correct.  This IS a computer calling to confirm live numbers and every time you answer it or call it back you are giving your number over to shady telemarketing companies who want to harass you.  Welcome to the age of technology!

Now, on the Do Not Call List - DON"T USE IT!!  This list is being sold by our government to any telemarketing company who's willing to pay for it.  Canadian law can only regulate Canadian businesses.  It is companies with call centres NOT located in Canada that are calling and harassing you now.  Any person can easily pretend to be a telemarketer and purchase the DNC list right off the website and download it!  It's ridiculous.  

The list is sold so that telemarketers within Canada can use the list for the purpose it was designed for. However, typical Canada (and I love my country with every fibre of my being) are too naive to realize that there are creeps out there who will find a way around it.  Unfortunately, the government did not put any barriers on the site where the list can be purchased to stop the list from getting into the "wrong" hands.

After watching an expose news piece about this (it was either 5th Estate or that new Global show on Saturday), I went online to see if it was true.  Well, I bought the list and I'm a nobody - I don't even own a company.  

We all just handed over our cell phone, home, fax and every other number to these creeps.  Silly us!

This # was on my phone and when I tried to call it back it said it was out of service.  Just want to know what it was about and who it was from.

I got a call yesterday form this number.
Fraud scam, not sure of the origin but definitely a scam.
Had placed an ad online for some articles.  They call and want to forward money to you, you then forward some money. Then the original cheque/bankers draft bounces and you are out the $$.
Called back and as above out of service

This number has shown up on my home phone 6 times in the last 2 days. When I try to return the call I get a message that says the number is not in service. How is this possible?

UGHHHH!  this drives me crazy nobody there when I answer and they must call 4 times a day from this number or 705-725-8710.  John thanks for the link to remove my number I hope it works.

I have gotten no less than 6 calls a week from this number for the past two months.  Cell, home and work numbers are all being harassed.

I have received 2 calls in the last couple days from this number, tey will not leavae a message or even say who is calling, they make it sound like they know me. When I call it back the number is out of service,

I get calls from this number but I'm never home and there are no messages left.
