Called me.  It was USAA roadside assistance confiming the time to expect the towing service to arrive.

It isn't a scam ppl, it is ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE, how I know...BECAUSE I WORK THERE. By the way, Agero changed it's name from Cross Country, as they acquired Agero through a merger, & Agero IS NOT A CANADIAN COMPANY, the FAMILY THAT OWNS THE COMPANY is AMERICAN, only ONE call center for Agero in Canada, & it IS located in Sault Ste. Marie, most of the call centers ARE AMERICAN.

This is good that you posted this because I thought that craigslist scammed me once I typed in this number and saw all of the comments on a scamming from this number. I even wrote a post advocating about not being deceived! lol which is true. I believe what you say because I called for road side assistance today. Thanks again.

Two nights ago, I submitted an application via Craigslist for a FOOD HELPER position at the local High School. I thought that this was a great opportunity and seemed to be legit. On Monday morning however i called the school and they said that they never posted such a page. One hour later I receive a call from this number. What scammers and those who try to take advantage over others. Dont they know that God does not like ugly- I pray for their repentance. Deception and lies are come to us every day but will we see? This was a wake up call to me and for me to be more discerning of who I send my information out too.  Just as my husband tells me, "whatever happened to getting up and going straight down to a company or organization to speak face to face? All of this internet business is a set up to be deceived!" Amen to that brother.

This is road side assistance calling to make sure the provider arrived. It is not a scam. They just want to verify your service has arrived and was completed. IF you don't respond, they do keep calling until it is out of there system. I know this because I used my Farmers Insurance road side assistance yesterday.

It is Roadside Assistance validating that you have been taken care of by the tow company.

Call was roadside assistance confirming a tow truck was enroute.

This is ridiculous.  The number is Roadside Assistance calling to confirm towing service has arrived.  They left an appropriate message when I didn't answer and it is NOT in any way a scam.  Please check your information again.

I live in Pennsylvania. Roadside assistance should not call you from Canada, and certainly should not show up as an international charge on your bill. This is a scam.

Wish this site would display the newest posts first! Most of the posts on the first page displayed were wrong. The newest posts have it right. Calling to confirm/take a survey on my Mazda Roadside Assistance. Looks like a lot of different car companies must use this service. They sure were relentless! They called three times in a row! Got it on the third.

I have no idea why anyone said this is a scam. Do people just get bored and make stuff up!? Haha.

Called 3 time a few min. apart.  Said it was a Toyoto dealer and they had a call that I needed a tow.  Call back and give them my vin number and info so they could set up a tow.

Not a scam. I called for a tow truck from State Farm.  They were doing a QA check. Got 3 calls from that number.  Get a life.

I received a call and my car had just been towed so that's probably what it was. I was driving and didn't answer.

I had a tow through USAA, How much more do we need for a majority vote.

This call came in twice back to back, with no message left, but as luck would have it I was sitting at the computer and did a quick phone search before answering.  So Matthew's information gave me the knowledge I needed and i will block the number now.

We got two calls from this number, with no voicemails left, an hour after calling Inifiniti Roadside Assistance for our car. Based on other responses, my guess is that it was them following up to make sure the tow company came out to assist. I highly doubt it's a triangle scam, people.

I had road side assistance today and just received a call from this number...a recorded message was on my voicemail and it was roadside assistance checking to see I received the service I needed.

This number showed up on my cell phone as a call from my cell phone, and I did not make this call. I was charged .49 for it.  Fortunately, the T-Mobile billing took it off of my bill.   Interesting to know that I have been scammed..........scary.

I got a call from this number today.  I didn't recognize it, so normally I wouldn't answer.  Unfortunately, I was right in the middle of sending a text message, so my finger hit the answer button, but I didn't bother to speak to anyone to hear who it was.  Sounds like it is a roadside assistance call, although I got a call this weekend from a roadside assistance confirmation number that was a 781 number, so I don't know if they're the same.

Sounds like they received a wrong number (which happened to be yours). Possibly, the best thing would be to answer it and, if there's an option, let them know that (don't know if there is an option to talk to someone, or leave a message).

i don't have roadside assistance and was at work (no reason to need it even if I did have it) and received  4 calls from this number within 25 minutes.  

Beware!!

705 946 8280 belongs to Agero which is a Canadian company. They apparently subcontract out to many auto insurance companies to act as their point of contact to handle road side assistance.
