This is a collector for debt and not mine ...Do I need to get a legal rep......

I also called 705-999-8190 and the man who answered the phone was rude, condescending and slightly threatening. When I asked for the name and type of company herepeatedly  replied "we handle personal matters". I asked point blank are you a collection agency and his response, " why do you need to worry about type of thing?" He repeatedly tried to get my phone number which I had blocked. I finally asked to speak to a supervisor and got voicemail--I hung up.
So I googled, found this site and called the 1-877-337-3836 and was informed this is Global Credit. I don't owe money but they were looking for my ex-husband of 12 years ago! Anyway matter cleared, I hope up but that 705 company is rude and should be reported. Thank you nobodynowhere

so i called the number back it is a collection agency i spoke to a rep RIGHT away after only one ring... and well they removed my number from their list.

Just rcvd  a call from this  # 7059998190 and they just repeated please press 1. I waited online for someone, the call finally just disconnected after I waited, not pressing anything. So dumb. Obv a scammer of some sort. Tried to call the number back and got a " this number is not in service msg"

This number calls me weekly and wakes up my family.  I'm very angry.  I also find the voice asking me to "please push one" very creepy.  I called them back and they are looking for someone who I have never heard of before.  They told me they will take me off their list, but that it takes24 hours.  I'll see if I get called again next week.  Next time I'll be following up with a call to the police.  This is harrassment.

I just received a call from this number as well. Last year I was getting similar calls and it ended up being creditors and I finally decided to call back because it was getting ridiculous. Finally after talking to someone for a while they realized they were trying to reach someone I've never heard of who must have had my cell number before I did.

Received a call from this number...waited on the line for representative. It was a call of a business nature and wanted me to confirm my postal code. Asked for them to provide more information as to who they were and they couldn't...without me giving them my code of course...go figure. They hung up.

KEEPS CALLING ASKING THAT I PLEASE PRESS 1.  WHAT KIND OF A CALL IS THIS ?  IS THIS SOMEONE LOOKING FOR A MANDATORY SENTENCE ?

i have got the same one today and they wont say who they r and if it keeps up i am going to call the police..

I get this number calling me about once a week and let it go to the message service. They don't identify who they are but want me to call them back. The number they give to call them back is different than the number that calls. Today I called the number back (not the one they gave me to call) and it immediately went to a recording asking me to stay on the line to talk to a "representative", but still it didn't identify who it was.

Same here. Just ignore them or report them to the police.

Just got the call.  Didn't answer, but googled the number to end up at this forum.  I owe NO ONE to the point of collections.  What I do is the following, for annoying scammers or whatever you would like to call them.  I have created a contact in my Blackberry, called "Do Not Answer", with a ringer of "Silent". So when they call my phone it rings to a SILENT ring toned. Music to my ears...LOL!  I only know they called whenever I look at my phone and notice a missed call. Which I will never return! Hope others who read my post have the capabilities with there cell phone to do this. Best thing is if you have other numbers that call and meet this criteria, you can added them to the "Do Not Answer" contact card.  All the best....Cheers Barb

I get this call about every two weeks.
The "do not call list" is B.S. these scammers change their numbers so often that they don't even bother to look at lists.

Got a call, I live in toronto.

This number calls my company cell phone ---- I am 100% sure that I don't owe anyone anything. A few months ago they called almost daily for about 2 weeks. Then I put my number on the Do Not Call list and that seemed to fix it but today they called again! I'm extremely frustrated.

Same message for me too, but a different phone number, used to get it from an 800 number! Gah!

caller doesn't say who they are but the pre-recorded message says they have tried to contact us multiple times, do not ignore this call, it is not telemarketing, call 1-877-337-3836

Am logging this to report a complaint to the Ministry for Collections Agencies in Ontario since I believe it's coming from a collection agency - we don't owe anybody anything but the previous owner of our now private line was a real jerk.
