I received the same call and was stupid enough to send money. Now I am getting calls from 4 different scammers. Just hang up

I got a call saying they were from the Sacramento PD with the same message. What idiots!

Got a call saying that they are from the lapd and i would b arrested at my home tomorrow. I am in ohio and don't do business in cali. 3 calls in 2 minutes

Just received a call from this number today-August 28, 2012-Guess I'll have to notify the Attorney General's Office here---It was from the Los Angeles Police Department-If there was a warrant for my arrest they would have an office serving me papers at my doorstep-not calling on the phone!

I have been receuveung phone calls as well. I am going to call our AG's office as well.

I received a call from this number claiming to be from the California Attorney General's office.  The man spoke with an accent that sounded possibly middle eastern or south asian.  He claimed that a payday loan company, something like "500 payday cash" or something similar was suing me "with criminal charges" and that a warrant had been issued for my arrest.  I reported this incident to the FTC and to my state attorney general's office.  I'm pretty sure the phone number is spoofed and that the call originated from overseas sweatshop call-center using a VOIP softphone.  I could hear several conversations in a foreign language (not Spanish) in the background.
