This number called me. I missed it.

Receiving calls from this number: 709-208-5966. Bogus number. Related to attempted fraud scheme via Craigslist using the email account donaldben1@gmail.com

Local police department and FBI notified. Complaint filed with attorney general in my state and also with the FTC.

Caller IS NOT from this country.

I almost got bitten on Craigslist when I offered football tickets.  I got the same canned response in an email.  I would not have given the information he requested anyway but it was nice to know my instincts were right!  Thanks!!

Kindly delete the posting as i am definitely buying it from you and it
would be sad for me to have the payment in the mail only to be
informed of it's sold. I will also wait for the check to clear before
i have my mover come for the pick up. Best regards

That is a Newfoundland and Labrador area code (my province). The exchange (208)seems odd, I have never seen that before. Also, the number is not registered...

My potential scam is almost idential to yours with the exception of different name.  I have filed an official complaint with the FBI, called the bank the check was drawn on - the routing number for bank was good, talked to VP she advised the account is bogus - filed notification with my local bank VP and she has record of it  and now that I received another email from he/she threatening me, I added threat to the complaint - Wondering where else I can go to file. So glad I found your message on line - thank you

Ok so he just emailed me on the 15th of jan 2009 and sent me the exact message that was sent to everyone else. I was stupid not to look for this first i gave him the info he wanted. What am i suppose to be especting please let me know asap thanks lol

I posted 2x ads to sell two items, my old phone and my GPS system on Craigslist NYC. I got two replies from 'worllow buying and selling' (worllow@gmail.com) the next day that  both read:

Looked like a scam to me so did a search them came across your posting.
