SPAM caller from Pennsylvania, wanting credit card information,
claiming to be a "satelite office" of Ottawa Canada.
Calls up with Silence, waits for answer before speaking.
Number appears to be FRAUD as the number cannot be called.
This number could be cloaked but reeks of FRAUD.

Caller would not identify themselves.

So did I..where are you located..I and in Newfoundland but when I called back the no. recording said it was not in service.

Received a call from this number (709) 700-4722. The guy said he wanted to speak with the person in charge of the credit cards. I asked what he wanted and he hung up

I receive calls from 709-700-2694 but I don't answer. The area code 709 is from Newfoundland, but with today's technolgy they can call from anywhere.

Got a call saying I won a trip so I said said you managed to get my phone number - now get my adress and mail it to me and hung up ~~ THE CALL TYPE WAS BULL-S*** ~~ put that in your list !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is a way.:) you just call your phone provider and they'll tell you how much they charge for that function. I know they have it in eastern Canada because I pay to have it. I forget what they call the function itself because its not an intuitive name.:/ If the name was simple to remember I'd share that info with you too!

This number called me and now that you and the others posted here I KNOW I want to block it!:)

Hope this info helps someone out there, sad one has to PAY not to be harrased on a phone # we already pay to use!! But that's a whole 'nother topic.

It is an automated voice telling you that you won a trip and to press 1 for more info, then a real person comes on the line and asks for your credit card info, when you tell them you don't have a credit card they then tell you that you don't qualify...lol

Lol!! I just had the same situation!! Annoying!

Got a phone call from a women saying that I just won a trip to Daytona Beach. She just kept on talking about the resort for an eternity and for whatever reason I listen to that bull.... It wasn't long before she ask for my credit card # to pay for some fees. After I told her I was not giving her my # on the phone, she started to get very pushy ,to the point of being mean: "your # starts with a 5, now what's the rest of it!" "what's the expire date?", "come on, I have your adress and your name, so what are the last # on your credit card after the 5?".  I hung up on her and I hope never to hear about her and her "company" ever again!

received a call from this phone number and didn't answer. I wish there was a way to block my phone number from being used by fraudulent callers.

This number called me at 9:58pm and I have no idea who it is.Would like to know who is calling at this time of night.

Just came through didn't bother to answer it.

Got a phonecall in the middle of class from them saying I have a trip to Mexico and I have to press 1 to receive it. Hung up on them.

Said someone in my household had recently either filled in something online in the last two weeks entering a contest to win $1600 towards a vacation for 4 to a beautiful Mayan resort - computerized message. To go on press 1 for yes - so I did. Then an actual person - Congratulations you have won $1600 towards a beautiful Mayan vacation but  two qualifications: 1) had to be over 28 and 2)needed a major credit card for check in at the resort. I said that is funny I just got back from Mayan two weeks ago (which is true) and didn't need a credit card at all. Paid cash for the trip and was never asked for card at the beautiful resort we stayed at. At which point she said "oh I am sorry you don't qualify" - I laughed and she hung up.

Called my cell phone and hung up when I answered.
