Thank you guys for the post. A fake account with this same number friended me on FB asking me to text her. Will be reporting her immediately....

Some fake account for a girl named Nicole Kurtz tried this same crap on me.

Just report the account to FB and for the love of whoever you believe in, don't text the number.

For what it is worth, you can also make a report to http://www.ic3.gov . I am assuming that since you are paying the bill, your son is underage, which makes this a crime, as it is a front for an adult dating website.

got phone bill for sons phone, he friended girl on FB, texted back and clicked link, the he was billed for 200 text messages to US from Canada at .40 cents a pop in half an hour, $85.00 phone bill.  Not a happy father nor phone company customer.

It's a scam !!! "Jessica" is trying to hustle us.

SCAMARAMA! Probably a cam girl, trolling for people to add her and pay to subscribe to her site. I knew it wasn't because she "liked my picture," lol

Yeah, I got this yesterday... someone called "Lisa Hilzer". She had 2 mutual friends, but I didn't see the picture count. Once she gave me the number, I figured something was up. Thanks guys!

This girl must be up to something so lets all be carefull as well....... I got a message from her to but i dont trust it thats why i happen to check on net... She has a strange name JESSICA & the surname is begining with B

Her name was Ashley Clemmon when she sent me the friend request. She had only one pic and one other friend, who was a friend of mine. She then sent me a thank you in my FB email, then asked what sandwich i order at subway, then quickly said she had to bail but to text her and gave this number. One person at at time? How can this be profitable to her unless she is planning a major identity theft? Beware

what a useful google search can do! Thanks for the posting, had the same happen to me, request on facebook, than left a message stating she gotta sign off but if I want to continue to text her at this number. Deleted the convo & reported her after seeing this thread. FOH!

Oh my god they had done it with me

The account that is sending these messages is a fake account set up to send these messages in hopes that you will respond to them via text message. If you do, you will be sent a link to a pornographic site, according to a poster here who did text the number.

If you get a message with this number:

1) Unfriend the person sending the message.
2) Report the account to Facebook as either fake, spam, or scam.

In order to protect your information, as there is potential for identity theft as well:

1) Go to your privacy settings at the top of the page in the left hand corner.
2) Hide the following:
Your phone number
Your email address
Your date of birth (you can hide only year if you'd prefer)
3) Hide your friend list.

Why am I telling you to hide this information? In the case of phone number, email, and DOB, there is no real reason this needs to be on Facebook. Anybody close enough to call or email you probably already has this information stored in their phone or email contact list. They probably know your birthday as well.

As for your friend list, I believe this is how this number is finding new contacts. Hiding your friends list will prevent the people you know from falling victim.

Same here, this person is a blonde hair girl and added me as a friend then asked what I like about the opposite  sex, said had to leave then left her number. I think its a joke

I got the same exact thing. They had 2 of my friends in common so it was a little more puzzling. Then when the phone number was given I assumed it was some level of "solicitation" or hacking scam

I got the same thing too but my person had like 36 friends and 1 picture. Any ideas?

Got added on Facebook by this person.  They have 1 picture, and only 40 friends.  Messaged me on Facebook a quick hello and then said they had to leave.  Left this phone number and said to text it if I wanted to "keep speaking".  

Outside of gathering cell phone numbers, I'm not sure what the end-game is here, but not likely that it's anything positive.
