Pete calls us every other month and gets stopped by the secretary.  He's calling to solicit the business to sponsor a radio add where he's looking for businesses to  sponsor one of the adds being broadcasted on the radio from the following web page.

the problem is he's in California, were in Pennsylvania.  Not interested and he still calls.

This one was about a don't text and drive message.

Just called claiming to be from station 1140 khtk in Sacramento. As his number was from Iowa I asked why. Claimed to be telecommuting

Just got a call from this number and a man who called himself Pete Welsh. He refused to tell me what his call was about and when I asked if he wanted to leave a message for the person at our company he was trying to reach he said he would just take his business elsewhere. I don't even know what his business is...

I got a call from Pete Welsh who said he had a few questions about AMLI Park Avenue. I work in our corporate office so I'm not sure why he's calling me or what about. I will not return his call since he did not identify who he was with.

Got a voicemail from 712.258.4021....same as most everyone else here.. says This is Pete Welsh, I have a couple questions about your business, and left his number, nothing else. weird. So i googled it, and yup, still weird.

I just got a phone call from Pete Welch as well and googled his name because I was so intrigued by the interaction. I was very polite and asked him what he was calling in regards to. He told me it was regarding my boss (said my bosses name) and the company we work for (said the name of my company). I said, "Has he spoken with you before?" and Pete said very rudely, "Um, no. Is that a prerequisite or something???" And I said nicely, "No, I would just like to let him know what you're calling in regards to." And he snapped back, "No, that's fine. I'll just take my business elsewhere." He hung up on me before I could even react. I found it pretty hilarious actually! Makes me appreciate the over the top friendly sales people a whole lot more. Thanks Pete!

I have a great memory. I'm certain he used to call our business using the name Pete Welch. Now he has called with the name Pete Wells. I'm certain it's the same person and we're not accepting his calls.

Thanks for the postings.  This guy just called our Office Manager and wouldn't say why he was calling other than that he had "questions."  I did call him back and left a message, but now that I know he's just a huckster, I won't bother with him.  Thanks.

Pete Welsh Associates guy called me yesterday and I returned call and left a message. He just called me back and I returned call and left message telling him to take my name and number off his lists. Sounds suspicious and sleazy and is a scam.

He is a professional solicitor is my guess.  He was calling to get participating in a local charity event.  Identified himself from a local radio station.

Today I had a message from the same person....left a message about my business on my google VM.  Strange.  Any answers anyone?

Same thing. Left message on answering machine that he had questions about our type of business  left 712-258-4021 number - no other info.  Something made me uneasy so I googled it and found this site.

same as everyone else. Pete Welsh asked for owner by name and left his 712-258-4021 number to call back. When asked does he know the owner and is this business, he said he knows him and it's in regards to our business. Felt "off" so I check Google too and here we all are.

We too received a call from "Pete Welsh" ... very rude, refused to leave info, very likely a scam.

Yep, just got two calls - one on my work line and one on my cell. My VM on my work line has my cell number on it with the explicit message 'in case of emergency'. This Peter Wells / Peter Welch (used Welch the first call and Wells the second) was trying to sell ad space on a local AM radio station - which I knew was owned by another company. If you research the phone number he's calling from, it oddly belongs to three other people in the Iowa area...

Peter Wells... Peter Welch... scam artist, nothing more.

Don't know how he got my number and don't care. When someone calls and doesn't leave even the slightest of intent in their message, it screams of "cheap salesguy" and insincerity. His number has been blocked. This tactic I believe works well on "easy" targets. But for someone in a buying-position (like myself) this sort of tactic is unsavory and unwanted. I'm sure there are many "targets" for this guy out there.

Same report as many others. Rude, won't leave a meaningful message and hangs up when asked any questions.

Whenever I get a call that feels "suspicious" I google the number and when I see reviews like this it saves me from wasting my time calling back.

Receptionist took a message from Pete Welsh. He stated it was in regard to business. Would call back.

Pete called my company and was being extremely rude. He hung up on me after i just wanted to ask a basic questions like what this is regarding, etc etc. told me "i'll just take my business elsewhere". PLEASE DO! next time he calls, he will be getting the same rude answer back "thanks but no thanks, please take your business elsewhere"
