He called and told me that I had won a $1000 shopping spree but that he needed my credit card information. I told him that if I really won something their shouldn't be any cost involved, and he tried to talk over me and thats when I let him have it. Report this number to the authorities in the area and cc a copy to the attorneys general.

Received a call from this person telling me that I won something. Don't remember what it was since I hung up as soon as he said it. I knew it sounded fishy so didn't waste time on the line.

Calls two or three times daily, says nothing then hangs up. I called Aventure Communication Technology L.l.c and was informed by a woman there that they had recently sold some lines and they were stolen.  She also stated that it has been reported to the FBI, as stated above, and took my # and name to turn over to the authorities. Hopefully they can get these calls stopped, they come at all hours day and night. I always knew I hated the phone, I just wasn't sure why until now!

Okay, so here is what I have found out.

1.) The calls are coming in from overseas. Which means they are NOT being made in U.S.
2.) They are being used illegally.
3.) All phone numbers, starting with "712-429" that they have called from, HAVE been reported to the FBI.

So just to let everyone know, after a week or so, you shouldn't have to worry about someone calling you off and on. :)
One of the FBI agents had actually called me, and asked me what phone number's the have called me from, I gave them 712-429-0255 and 712-429-0252.
But of course he had a list with many many other phone number's on it as well.

I also got a phone call from multiple of these phone numbers, mostly 0252 and 0255.
Usually when they call me they don't say anything, and just hang up.
Since the phone is in my name, I usually don't answer the phone, I usually have my mom answer it, and she says that they won't say anything but just hang up.
I think they are just waiting for me to answer or something.
I will be contacting the police next time they call.
I appreciate all the information that was provided.
I will be sure to tell them that MULTIPLE people are also getting phone calls from this telemarketer.
I will give them the phone number(s) that these people are calling from as well.
I will also be providing the name of the company, where it is located, and such.

They stated that they would like to give me $500.00.  They have called several times.  I also tried the call back number and it not a valid number.  This person stated that his name was jack then jake.  I am not home at this time and My wife is really scared of the caller.

I have just received a call (actually many calls during these days every morning, but today was my first to directly talk with somebody). He was an Indian guy and offered certain amount of coupon for Gas and shopping. In the beginning, it sounded like a discount or marketing promotion company, but he changed his word a lot as time goes. For example, he told me he got my name and contact from Wal-Mart. As I told him that I am not Wal-Mart shopper, he changed to Target. Since it was very strange, I wanted to hang up. But, I gave my information already including my name, exact home address, date of birth, and the type of my credit card (not number). I have a big concern now. What should I do?

A scam shows up as "CELEBRATION" on caller ID with various numbers from 1-712-429-xxxx.  I'm getting a new number the calls will not stop.  If you call back its not a good number.  I have no idea how they got my number it was totally private.  I'll be following the advice recommended on this website.  These guys deserve to get shutdown.  Seems like some foreigners using internet connections to get the phone lists.  Not much different than spam email.  Some people are going to fall for the schemes and mail these criminals money or give away identity.  Very sad.

Received a call about 2 hours ago, me and my family were the lucky winners of a 3 DAY 2 NIGHT EXPENSE PAID VACATION.  I said I wasn't interested, they continued totalk and I hung up.  they just called again and it was dead air.  This is a load of crap.

I get these calls on a DAILY basis and have become quite annoyed.  It has gotten to the point where I don't answer anymore but would like them to just stop.

Call each night and hang up when I answer.  They only answer to a female voice.

These people have been calling day and night. I won't pickup. Perhaps I just need to tell them that if they continue to ring my number I'll report them for harassment.

I've gotten 3 calls in less than 24 hours from these people.

I just got call from the 1-712-429-0255 and he is saying I won the $125 gas card and I am luckiest person in my area and asking valid VISA or Master card number.

the Borat-esque person ("Michael") told me that I won $125 gas card and a trip, asked for birthday information to "verify that I'm over 19", when I would only tell him the year but not the month and date, he hanged up.  

also got an earlier missed call from 712-429-0346, sounds like they've got a bunch of those numbers where they're calling from.

Do not give out any information to this person! He said I had won a $1000 shopping spree and a $125 gift card. He just kept talking and talking, and I really should have just hung up right away. Then he wanted my credit card number....I told him I was suspicious, and he got mad and asked why I was so suspicious about this great offer. and I told him to stop being such a jerk and then I hung up. Told me he was calling from LA...yeah right, my caller ID area code was 712....that is not LA.
