The people using (712)945-0181 are from http://www.stopsmoking.com. This time I answered the phone some one was there. I asked who they are and they did tell me they are from StopSmoking.com and that I signed up for their program. Please note I did not sign up for at any time. Told them to take me of they call list.  Hope this will work, if not I will start emailing them to take off there list and try to fill their email box!

This number (712)945-0181 has been call for a week now, 2 or 3 times a night, from 5:00pm est to 9:00pm est. I answer it and they just hang up. It's getting very old now!

I get this call 2-3 times a day. Always in the evenings. Never is a message left on my answering service. Does anyone know who these people are?

These b*****ds have been calling me daily. And like many here have mentioned, when I call the number back it says it is no longer in service. How the hell can it be in service when they're calling me, but when I call them it isn't? No more than 30 seconds happened between them calling me and me calling them back. Who are these idiots? The feds? I wish there were a button on my phone that would make the phone on the other end explode. I'd use it on these pricks.

I, too have been getting these annoying phone calls all day. I called the customer service number on stopsmokingresolution.com (same company as the website listed by a previous poster), who said that I needed to call that number to request to be put on a do not call list. But of course, that number "is not listed" or whatever. So I asked if they knew any other way to contact the people who call out (apparently this customer service number only took calls, didn't make them), and the guy gave me this number to try: 415-839-8432. It didn't get any hits googling it, so we'll see. He said it was a california number and to try between 8 and 5 PST. I'll be trying it tomorrow. Good luck guys!

HOPEFULLY A SOLUTION!  I went to www.stopsmoking180.com and filled out an inquiry - this time when they called someone actually spoke to me.  I asked them to take me off their list.  We'll see.

They called me three times while I was in class for the past two days and infrequently for the past three weeks. Just now are these calls starting to get out of hand.

Okay, I am not loosing my mind and this isn't a debt collector from a unknown debt from the past, a sales call or something of the sorts.  This number has been calling my phone since 06/07/07, usually once per day to two days.  On my answering machine I only record the number you have called rather than my name.  This morning I changed it with my first name only on there thinking if it was a phantom unknown debt collector or sales call they would leave a message, however I only received a blank message, no voice or background noises.  Is there a way for them to stop?  How can we as consumers stop this harrasment?  I work hard and don't want to deal with either a company calling at dinner time to interrupt my personal time for an empty message or a hang up, as I am sure the rest of you who have posted and are reading this post!  The right of selling your number and the right of privacy have crossed the line here!  Unfortunately, this doesn't fall into the do not call list because somewhere and somehow we have entered our numbers on a website and they have full access to do this, but the question is how do we make them stop??  Where does permissiveness lead to harassment?

Just received a call from this number. A woman with a heavy Indian accent asked for "Gary" - we think that's who she asked for - we said that he wasn't here. She responded, "What?" Repeated "He's not here." She said, "Okay, just trying to reach him," and hung up.

This number has been calling me for 2 days now.... They say that they are a stop smoking program that i signed up for... BUT I never signed up for any program....

Getting this call everyday for a week.  Must be a better way to block calls from these losers.

It's from those things you fill out on the net that come in the e-mail, or something you are directed to from another site in hopes of winning this or that, or maybe even currency for a game is offered. Someone above mentioned No Smoking 180. Yeah, I filled that out, but never completed the order. Maybe that's why they're calling? I dunno.

someone from this number called tonight at 8:30 pm asked for me by name.My daughter said I wasn't here and they said they had spoken to me on monday. Very strange considering I wasn't here. My daughter tried to take a message and they hung up immediately. when i tried to call back...guess what???says it's out of service. Imagine that.

I have been getting these calls for like a month now. Today i answered it and they hung up, when I called it back as someone else posted it says the phone number is not in service.

why call if you have nothing to say. I called my cell phones 611 and they said its probably a telemarketing number which is set to outgoing only.

i have missed several of these calls i never answer them because its always late at night.

I just got 2 calls from that number,and i did answer it, and they actually knew my name and asked for me, when i said this is her, they said we are with no smoking 180 and we are taking a survey // but i hung up b/c it freaked me out that they knew my name // and i remember when i first answered it, i heard two girls laughing in the back ground // and when i try and call it back it says number not in service

Just got a call from this number, first time.  I answered, and the call ended as soon as I did.  Have not called back.

This number has called me 3-5 times a day for about a week now. I call back the number has been disconnected. i would really like to know whats going on with this number.

This IS very odd.  I get calls from this number 2 or 3 times a day too, and the same thing happens when I try and call back.  I would like to know who this is.

This number calls 2-3 times a day. I return the calls but the system says the  number is not in service. Yet they continue to calling from it.
