I keep a whistle by the phone.  If callers such as this annoy me I just give them an annoying earful from my whistle.  Another time I was doing my makeup/hair etc.  Put caller on speaker, made sure they kept holding on (time is money for these people) while I continued to get ready for my day.  When I was finished I asked for their number in a sweet voice, saying I would have to call them back.  When or if they give you the number say "Now I want you to hold your breath waiting for me to call".  Then I hang up.  I had one guy so annoyed, he must have called back 8-9 times.  I let the phone ring until just before the answering maching would pick up.  I'd then answer, and hang up.  Had a great laugh.

They call first from 714-916-2833 which I have blocked, then they immediately try to call from 714-395-6656, which I also have blocked. I'm sure they will try from yet another spoofed number in the future, but will get blocked on that one! Don't bother calling me you A**hole!!

Continually receive calls from this # 714-395-6656,  2-3 times a day, several times a week.
No one is there when I have answered. Today I left my phone on fax for all calls.. # was sent to fax 3 times.. hope that will work..

This man is annoying and tells me he has an appt with someone who is not even alive anymore. Rude, won't talk about the nature of his business call and doesn't put me on his do not call list. He needs to be stopped

Sunday morning call, 6-23-13. Left no message on answering machine. Could be a marketing scam however no way of knowing.

They identify the call as Triangle Home Center. I set the phone on the counter. I reported this to the Do Not Call registry.

Got called by this number and they asked why do i cuss them out in Spanish, they they started speaking in Spanish and i asked who is this and they hung up.

I have caller ID and didn't pick up, but on the answering machine a man said" Martha, oh Martha, pick up, please pick up, where are you?"

Received call from this number on Sunday at 11:45 a.m.  Caller said he was from Triangle Home Center and wanted to know if I had any work I wanted done on my home.  I disconnected the phone.

Answered phone. Knew my name. Lady says her husband contractor in Anaheim area. I asked how she got my number and was surprised when I stated not only is it unlisted but registered on do not call.
Told her never to call again or would be reported.  Called on Sunday morning.  Tried calling back and found it to be a magic jack number

714-395-6656  calls me and will not stop.

They called again from an obvious call center and asked for my spouse, said he was returning his call.  I asked my spouse if he knew a Chris James/Jones? and he said NO so I said what was it about and he said it was about a prior conversation with my spouse that my spouse denied ever having with this guy.   Hung up.

This was the 15th or 20th call from these guys.

Got a call from this number this afternoon.  The caller announced asked for me by name and said they were from "Crown Home Center".  I asked her to repeat the name.  She did.  I responded by saying, "*^%& you and hung up.  One of the internet forums said that if you swear at them they will most likely flag your number as 'hostile' 'bilgerent'.  We shall see.  Just my $0.02 cent.

They are out of a C.O. that one of my old Telco coworkers runs. I gave him this number after they called  me and hung up so he can do his "dirty work".

Please take a few minutes to enter these bogus phone numbers into the National Do Not Call registry site. You do not need to know the name of their fake companies but it might be helpful. Maybe if many people who are sick of this illegal invasion of privacy reported them, they will get caught.

Are our phone numbers being sold/circulated by these shady outfits? What I do when I get fed up is answer the phone (usually ignore it, turn off answering machine). Numbers starting with 818 are a giveaway. I act friendly, and if they say anything I respond, "We are on the Do Not Call registry. I am reporting this call, and the penalty is a $10,000 fine and jail time." This is true, BTW. I have reported phone numbers to the National Do Not Call registry on line.

Ans'd call and could hear boiler room noise but no one answered. Put on blocked caller list.

Called just now - identifier showed "cellular call."  I answered, male voice said "hello" then disconnected.  Get the same magic jack customer recording on callback. I work at home & can see my caller ID with each call. I've taken to turning off my answering machine whenever I see a number I do not recognise hoping that endless ringing will have them remove my number from their list. Been 2 months now and hasn't worked.

I began receiving such calls in June 2011, on my unlisted number.

From the accents of some of the callers and the nature of the calls, I'm guessing they are ethnic Gypsies.

They say "Ve vant to vork on your house."

They mean, "Ve vant to come inside your house and steal."

After filing perhaps 100 complaints with the FTC, to no avail, I've added a caller ID box and don't pick up unless I know the caller.

Got a call from this number on a Sunday while on another call.  When he started, I said, "Please take our number off your phone list" and he said, "No" & I said, "We're on the Do Not Call List" .Then he went off on a rant saying I wouldn't let him explain why he was calling and he was going to call every hour on the hour until I let him explain.  Hung up.  He hasn't called again,

They called today but I wasn't home.  Here's what I've started doing if I'm home.  I play along and tell them I have something I want done and make an appointment for a free estimate.  Then when the stupid sucker shows up, I ask for his card so I have information on who the company really is.  Then I can file complaints with the DNC Registry, the FCC and the Better Business Bureau.

One of these companies was stupid enough to call giving the same BS story two days in a row and I had people come out twice.  Told both of them I was filing a complaint with the police.

10/30/2012 10:07 AM. Caller ID said "unkown name". When I asked who he was, he said that his name was Craig Kay and that he was a local contractor.
